"Okay, in order to explain, we will have to show you our past" Yugi said.

"What do you mean" Atem asked confused.

"Malik" Yugi called. Then he passed Malik the millennium necklace " here".

"But Yugi, why don't you do it" Malik asked confused.

"My power is weak right now, from being healed. I need you to show them" Yugi explained.

"Right" Malik nodded.

Then the four boys went to stand in front of the royals by the steps.

"Power of the millennium necklace. Show us the past of Joey Wheeler" Malik said.

Then the millennium necklace started to glow. After a few moments, the throne room, began to change into a village. The village had many houses, and trees. There were also happy people walking along the streets.

"Don't worry they cannot see us" Yugi said.

"What village is this" Mahaad asked.

"This is the village of the south. It is my home in a secret country known as Jelena" Joey said.

"Let's watch what happens" Malik said.

They all nodded and watched.

"Joey" a lady with brown eyes and reddish brown hair called out.

"Yes" a 5 year old Joey answered.

Little Joey was dressed in a blue tunic and had a golden belt around his waist. He was also holding a 3 month old Serenity in his arms.

"I need you to listen to me" the lady said anxiously.

"Okay" Joey said worried.

Suddenly a loud scream was heard.

"Oh no they're here" the lady said scared.

"Mama, what is going on" Joey asked.

"It is okay Joey. Come and bring your sister" Ms.Wheeler said.

They went to a small barn as a crowd of people were running past them

"Father" Joey yelled.

"It is okay Joey" a man with blonde hair and emerald eyes said.

"Mother, father what is going on" Joey asked.

"Hush my son. There is a raid going on. You must be quiet" their mother cooed.

Then she put the two on a horse.

"You must go to the West Village." Their mother said.

Suddenly someone broke into the barn.

"Mama" Joey said.

"Go Joey" Ms.wheeler yelled as she hit the horse.

The horse galloped from the barn.

"MOTHER" Little Joey yelled as he had tears streaming down his face.

Serenity and Joey rode through the village and to the outskirts. The village was set on fire when they got out. Then they got off the horse.

Serenity began to cry in Joey's arms.

Joey held his sister close.

"Shh, don't worry sis" Joey cooed.

Then he put his sister on th ground for a while. Then Joey stood up and faced the village. Then he closed his eyes. Suddenly waves of blue magic circled around his magic. His clothes transformed into a blue and golden tunic. He also had a blue staff in his hand. Then he opened his eyes to look at the burning village. Then he took a deep breath in and out.

"Village of the South" Joey began to say" Shadow Ice" he said as he held his hand up to the village.

Suddenly the village began to freeze over and the skies turned gray. Then he got on the horse with his sister and rode off to the West Village.

Then the throne room changed into another village. It had a deep valley, huge trees, and had a long river running through it. A mile away from the village, in the forest, there was a cave.

"What is this place" Bakura asked.

"This is my memory. This is the West Village. This is my home" Ryou said.

Then they watched the memory.

Little 5 year old Ryou was running through the forest. Then he came to a house in the center of the village.

"Ryou" a woman with brown hair and brown eyes exclaimed.

"Hello Ms.Kanika" Ryou said happily.

"What are you doing here" Ms.Kanika asked.

"I just came to drip by and see how you were doing" Ryou explained.

"Well that's good and all, but don't you have to go to meet Amani" Ms.Kanika asked.

"Right, well I will see you later" Ryou said.

Then he ran off to another house at the edge of town. When he got there he heard someone scream. He quickly ran to the house. When he entered he saw a woman with long white hair being choked by a strange man.

"Mother" Ryou called out.

"Ryou....run" the woman said.

Ryou nodded and ran. The man saw him and chased after the boy, but was caught in the crowd. Everyone was running around, trying to get away from all the assassins in the village. When Ryou made it out of town he fell to his knees and began crying. Then he saw a boy about his age walk up to him, and hold out his hand. He nodded and took it. When he got up the boy nodded to him.

Ryou looked at the village. Then he closed his eyes. White magic started to circle around his body. He was now wearing a white tunic with gold. He also had a white staff. Then he opened his eyes to look at the village once again. Then he took a deep breath in and out.

"Village of the West" Ryou began" Shadow Wind" he said as he held a hand up to the village.

The the skies became gray, and the village had tornadoes covering it. Then the boy walked up to Ryou.

"It is good to see you again Ryou" the boy said.

"Same to you Joey" Ryou said to Joey.

"We must gather the others" Joey said.

"I agree" Ryou said.

"Let's go to the East Village" Joey said.

"Where's Serenity" Ryou asked.

"She is already at the North Village" Joey replied.

"How" Ryou asked.

"Had a little help from a guard" Joey answered.

"Honda, right " Ryou asked.

"Yup" Joey answered " Anyways let's get moving to the East Village".

"Okay" Ryou nodded.

Then they began to walk to the East Village.

Then the throne room began to change into another village. This village had a lot of tall grass. There was a huge cliff at the border of the village.

"So this is the East Village" Marik asked.

"Yes, this is my home" Malik stated.

Then they began to watch the memory.

A 5 year old Malik was playing by the cliff. The cliff was over a thousand feet tall. Then he heard someone call his name from below.

"Malik" a girl with black hair and lilac eyes yelled from below" come down here".

"Okay mama" Malik yelled as he jumped off the cliff.

He landed on his feet, right in front of his mother.

"Malik that is dangerous. You could've hurt yourself" his mother scolded him.

"But mom. I'm okay, see".Malik said twirling around.

"Listen. I need you to go to the well to get some water" his mother said.

"Okay mom" Malik said gleefully.

The well was about a mile out from where the village was. Malik went to the well to get some water. When he got back however, the village was being raided. He screamed and went to the cliff. When he got there he saw everyone was being killed. He cried, until he felt a hand on both his shoulders. He looked up to see two boys, who nodded at him. He nodded back and stood up.

Malik closed his eyes after looking at the village. Then redish orange magic circled around him. He was now wearing a maroon tunic with gold. He also had an orange staff in his hands. Then he opened his eyes to look at the view. He took a deep breath in and out.

"Village of the East" Malik began" Shadow Flames" He said as he held his hand out to the village.

Then the skies grew gray and the village was put into flames. The flames didn't spread, but stayed only on the village.

"Let's go Joey, Ryou" Malik said.

"Alright" Ryou and Joey nodded.

Then they headed to the North Village.

Then the throne room transformed into another village. This village had trees, grass, and many people. There was also a castle at it's northern borders.

"This is my home. This is the North Village" Yugi said as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Wow that castle looks so cool" Atem said.

"That castle belongs to the king who rules all the villages" Yugi stated with a grin on his face.

The others nodded and watched.

Ryou, Joey, and Malik were walking through the village.

"Man this place is huge" Malik said.

"Yeah, but we have to go see the king" Joey said.

"Yeah so stop gaping " Ryou joked.

"And you weren't " Malik retorted.

"Shut up" Ryou said blushing in joking anger and embarrassment.

Then they walked to the gate of the castle. When they get there a guard greets them.

"Why are you three here" the guard asked.

"We are here to have a meeting with the king" Malik said.

The guard nodded.

"Very well, follow me" the guard said as he walked into the palace gates.

They followed him all the way to the throne room. There on the throne, sat a 5 year old boy, who was known as the king. The king stood up, but his face was still covered by the shadows. The king smirked.

"Hello Ryou, Malik, and Joey " the king said.

The three boys smirked when the king came out of the shadows of his throne.

"Hello King Yugi" the three boys said.

Yugi was dressed in a brown tunic and had a purple cape around him. He also had a crown upon his head that had a gold, white, red, and amethyst diamond in the center of a crecent moon and sun.

"So what brings you three here" Yugi asked.

"The three villages where we live have been raided and we have released our power on the villages" Joey explained.

"We need your help in dispersing the magic and brining the people back to life again" Ryou said.

"You do realize that if I do this your parents can't be revived as well" Yugi stated.

"Yes we understand, but don't forget that we have permission.to see them in the afterlife as well" Malik stated.

"Mmhhmm, very well I will help you my friends" Yugi said.

Then Yugi turned and walked from the throne room to his room. He was followed by Ryou, Malik, and Joey. When he got to his room, he sat in a chair beside a huge table. Then the table started to glow and suddenly a map of the countries was shown on the table. It showed the village of the south covered in ice, the village of the West covered with tornadoes, and the village of the East covered in flames.

"Wow you guys over did it" Yugi said.

The boys held their heads low.

Then Yugi closed his eyes to concentrate. Everyone became silent. Then he held his hands over the map.

"Villages of the South, West, and East" Yugi began " Shadow Lightning disperse forming magic".

In the south lighting shot from the sky and struck the ice. The ice began to break, but it destroyed the village. In the west lightning struck the tornadoes, bit there was nothing left of the village either. In the east lightning struck the flames in the middle, and the flames went out. Nothing was left of the village. Then Yugi took a deep breath in and out.

"Light Magic" Yugi began" lightning reverse".

Suddenly the villages were being rebuilt, and the people were coming back to life.

"Dark magic" Yugi said" King's Law".

Then all the raiders in the villages were transported to the prison cells in the kingdom.

Once the villages were safe, Yugi got up and faced the other three boys.

"It is done" Yugi said.

"Thank you my king" the three said as they got on their knees to bow.

"On no you three don't. Stand up" Yugi commanded "you three should already know your my equals, so why are you bowing? A simple thank you would be okay, you know." Yugi said.

"We know, we just wanted to get on your nerves" Malik joked.

"And this is the thanks I get from my three comrades" Yugi said sarcastically.

"But we didn't come here for you to help our villages" Ryou said seriously.

"Then why did you come" Yugi asked seriously.

"The time has come to become one with the council like you, Yugi" Joey said.

"Alright, let's go to the throne room, and get started" Yugi said.

They all nodded and went to the throne room. When they got there the three boys kneeled before Yugi. Yugi pulled out a silver blade on them.

"With this sword, you three will become a part of the council. This sword will determine your place" Yugi said as he lifted the sword in the air. Then he pierced it through the ground. The ground cracked straight towards the boys. Then white magic shot out of the cracks and cover the three boys' bodies. When it released Joey had on a blue cape and was holding the millennium rod, with his tunic. Malik had a maroon cape with the millennium necklace, and his tunic. Ryou had on a white cape and millennium ring, with his tunic.

"Welcome High priest Joey, Lord Ryou and Malik" Yugi said happily as he took out his millennium puzzle to show them.

"I guess it is official" Joey said.

"Yes, so now together we must protect the country of Jelena" Yugi nodded.

The other three nodded in agreement. Then the memory turned back into the throne room.

"So Yugi was a King" Atem asked.

"Yes and no. Yugi is still a King" Ryou said.

"I don't understand" Shadi said.

"Well we are gonna show you another memory of why Yugi is still king" Malik said.
