It was nighttime in Egypt. Atem was looking out the balcony and up at the stars.
"What is wrong Atem" high priest Seto asked.

"Nothing Seto" Atem said.

"We all know that is a lie pharoah" Bakura said.

"How many times do I have to tell you? When we are alone you may call me Atem" Atem said annoyed.

"Yeah General Bakura" Marik teased.

"Shut up General Marik" Bakura growled.

"Will you guys quit it. We are here to see what's wrong with Atem" Seto said.

"Right, so what is wrong Atem" Bakura asked.

"I just wish I could find someone to love" Atem sighed " I want someone who loves me for me and not just my crown".

"So what you are saying is that you are lonely" Seto said.

"Well that can be arranged" Marik said.

"What do you mean" Atem asked.

"Why don't you just get yourself a personal slave, so you're not lonely all the time" Marik answered.

The other three just looked at him like he is crazy.

"What" Marik asked annoyed.

"You just thought of something that was actually sane" Seto said.

"Yeah, so" Marik asked.

"Normally everything you say is insane" Bakura said.

"Whatever, so do you guys want to get a personal slave" Marik asked.

"I am only getting a personal slave if you guys get one as well" Atem stated.

The other three nodded in agreement.

"Then it is settled. We are going to go in the market place for slaves" Seto said.

After they confirmed it, they went to their separate chambers and rested for the night.

The next day the Atem, Bakura, Marik, Seto, Mahaad, and Shadi went to the market place.

"You know you two didn't have to come with us right" Atem said to Mahaad and Shadi.

"We know pharoah but we must ensure your safety" Mahaad said.

"Fine" Atem said.

When they got to the market place, they got off their horses and started to walk around.

"Man I don't want any of these slaves" Marik said in disgust.

Suddenly everyone heard a rumbling sound.

"STAMPEDE" someone yelled.

Everyone ran inside, except for Atem and his friends. Suddenly a group of escaped horses came towards their way.

"LOOK OUT" a voice yelled as they were pushed out of the way.

"NOW" the voice called.

Then another person put a gate which was forced in front of the horses, blocking them from getting through. Then someone else put a gate behind the horses, so they couldn't escape at all. Then someone else rallied the horses together. Then the person who pushed them out of the way started to do a commanding whistle. The horses made rows and lined up like the army. The four people then opened the gates, and the horses were lead back to the stables by their owner.

"Thank you" the owner said as he left.

Then the four turned to the pharoah and his companions.

"My pharoah, are you alright" the one who pushed them said.

The pharoah looked up to see a boy with pure amethyst eyes.

"Y-yes" the pharoah stuttered. Then he was helped up by the mysterious boy.

"High priest are you alright" said the boy who pulled up the first gate, as he helped the priest up.

"Yes, thank you" Seto said as his blue eyes looked into honey brown eyes.

"My Lord, are you okay" said the boy who pulled up the second gate.

"Yes, I am fine" Marik said as he looked into light lilac eyes.

"My Lord, are you alright " asked the boy who rallied the horses.

"I am alright" Bakura said as he looked into soft doe brown eyes.

"Um, excuse me" Mahaad said gaining the four mysterious boys' attentions.

"Thank you for saving us from that stampede" Shadi said in gratitude.

"Please don't thank us" the amethyst boy said "we are just mere slaves we don't deserve your gratitude".

"Now that is an understatement. You four saved us from a stampede" Atem said.

"Yeah and you don't even know us" Bakura said.

"And to top it off everyone else ran inside, but you guys took time to help us" Marik said.

"How about we pay you for saving us" Seto said.

"Please, though we need the money we don't want it" the golden brown eyed boy said.

"Yes we just did that because we honestly wanted to" The doe brown eyed boy said.

"Yes and we just like helping people out" said the lilac eyed boy.

"So don't worry about it" the amethyst eyed boy said.

"Okay, but may we know your names" Atem asked.

"My name is Yugi Mouto" said the amethyst eyed boy.

"My name is Joey Wheeler" the golden brown eyed boy said.

"My name is Malik Ikatsu" the lilac eyed boy said.

"And my name is Ryou Bakura" the doe brown eyed boy said.

"Well it is a pleasure to meet you four" Bakura said.

"Likewise" Ryou said.

"So now that you guys are okay, we will be going now" Yugi said with one last smile to the pharoah.

"U-um, wait. Why don't we accompany you four on your journey" Atem asked.

"Um alright" Yugi said happily.

They all headed back to where their royal horses were. Atem, Marik, Bakura, Seto, Shadi, and Mahaad all got on their horses.

"Aren't you guys gonna get on" Marik asked.

The four boys on the ground shook their heads. Then they whistled loudly. In a few minutes four horses jumped off the roofs and to the ground next to the boys. The four got on their horses.

"Woah, how did they get on the roof" Bakura asked.

"We trained them to jump on rooftops so we can get to places faster" Ryou answered.

Then when they were all settled the boys rode a few miles out of town to a secret oasis.

"Wow this place is pretty" Mahaad said.

"Yeah, we discovered it when we were out on a walk" Joey said.

They got off their horses and sat down by a palm tree.

"So why are you guys here" Atem asked.

"We are here to meet up with some friends of ours" Yugi said politely.

"Who are these friends that you speak of" Seto asked curiously.

"Well one of them is my sister, Serenity" Joey said.

"Another would be Honda. He is one of the guards in your palace, but he comes here around his break time" Ryou said.

"Yeah, and his boyfriend Otogi, who works in the palace stables" Malik said.

"Another friend of ours is Mai. She is like an older sister to me" Yugi said.

"Um excuse me but before you guys said that your friend Honda has a boyfriend. Does that mean that you guys aren't against gays" Atem asked.

"No" Ryou said.

"We don't really care who someone dates, boy or girl" Malik said.

"Love is love. You can love whoever you want to" Yugi said.

"Besides we are bisexual" Joey said.

"What about you guys? Are you against them?" Malik asked.

"No, actually we are not" Mahaad answered.

Suddenly they heard a rustling sound.

"What was that" Shadi said in alert.

Then there was a hiss.

"It's a snake" Yugi said calmly.

Then everyone, but Yugi, Ryou, Joey, and Malik, became alert. Then the snake appeared next to Yugi.

"Yugi look out there's a snake near your hand" Atem warned.

"Relax my pharoah, it is harmless" Yugi said as he picked up the snake in his hand.

"But that snake has fangs" Mahaad said.

"I know, but as long as I don't provoke it, it won't harm me" Yugi said as he began to pet the snake.

Then Yugi got up and went towards an abandoned tree. When he got there he let the snake slither off his hand.

"Why didn't you kill it" Atem asked.

"My pharoah, not all creatures are evil. They may be dangerous, but they can also be harmless. All you have to do is show kindness. All creatures have lives. How would you feel if you were killed for no apparent reason?Hm?" Yugi asked looking deep into the pharoah's eyes with a smile.

"I would feel rather upset" Atem said.

"And how would you feel if someone showed you kindness instead of killing you" Yugi said looking to Mahaad next.

"I would be eternally grateful" Mahaad said with a smile.

"So we must learn to show kindness first rather than kill the creature" Yugi said in conclusion.

"You are very wise, young one" Shadi said.

"Thank you" Yugi said.

"So is that why you three didn't fear the snake as well" Seto asked turning to Joey, Ryou, and Malik.

"Of course. That snake would've only been harmful if we were to make an attempt to kill it first" Joey said with a grin.

Then out if no where a voice could be heard.

"RYOU, MALIK, JOEY, YUGI" The voice called out.

Everyone turned to see Honda, Serenity, Otogi, Mai, and Mokuba coming.

"MOKUBA" Seto exclaimed" What are you doing here"?

"Oh h-hey big brother" Mokuba said nervously.

"Busted" Joey said with a smirk.

"W-well y-you see I am here to see my friends because I was bored" Mokuba said with a nervous smile on.

"Huh, well whatever. We will deal with your punishment later" Seto said.

"But Seto" Mokuba whined.

"My answer is final" Seto said.

"Okay" Mokuba said in disappointment.

"Aw cheer up champ" Joey cheered.

"Yeah we don't want any sad faces today" Malik cheered.

"Besides it is our anniversary today" Ryou said happily.

"So you know what that means" Yugi said as he held out a platter of chocolate cake with whipped cream on top.

"Chocolate cake" Mokuba cheered as his eyes lit up in happiness.

"Would you like some" Yugi asked Atem, and his companions.

They nodded. Then Yugi handed everyone a piece of cake.

"So how old are you guys anyways" Atem asked.

"13" Serenity said.

"18" Honda said.

"18" Otogi said.

"19"Mai said.

"17" Malik said.

"17" Ryou said.

"17" Joey said.

"17" Yugi said.

At that Shadi and Mahaad eyes widened.

"My Ra, you looked about the age of 12" Mahaad said looking at Yugi.

"Looks can be deceiving you know" Yugi said as he pouted cutely.

Everyone laughed.

"So what is this anniversary you spoke of" Atem asked curiously.

"Today is the day we met Mokuba in exactly 2 months" Serenity said.

"Oh so does that mean we are going to be included in this celebration as well" Atem asked.

"Of course. We all cherish our friendships so we always celebrate new friendships" Yugi giggled.

After they ate, they relaxed.

"Hey Yugi, we have a question for you, Ryou, Malik, and Joey" Atem said.

"Sure what is it Pharoah" Yugi asked.

"Well since your friends work in the castle, we thought that you guys could become our personal slaves and be closer to them" Atem said.

"Sure Pharoah, but who would be who's personal slave" Yugi asked.

"Seto would get Joey, Marik would get Malik, Bakura would get Ryou, and I would get you" Atem explained.

The four boys looked at each other and then nodded I agreement.

"Sure, we will become your personal slaves" Ryou said happily.

"Alright. Well now that that is settled, let's go back to the palace." Atem said.

They all nodded and went rode, on their horses, back to the palace.

"Take them to get changed. Then bring them to the dinning hall" Atem said as the server took Yugi, Ryou, Malik, and Joey to get changed.

Then Atem, Marik, Bakura, Seto, Mahaad, and Shadi went to the dinning hall. The horses were taken to the stables and the others just went back to doing their work.

Meanwhile with Yugi and the others.

"Yugi are you sure we should do this" Malik asked uncertain.

"Yes, this way we can protect them better" Yugi said.

"Besides, the seal is breaking" Ryou said.

"What when does it officially break" Joey asked.

"It breaks in 3 days" Ryou answered.

"This is bad. If it breaks then the pharoah, high priest, and lords will be in danger" Malik said in worry.

"I know which is why I said that we should be their personal slaves and stay close to them at all times" Yugi explained.

"What do we do if they find out" Joey asked.

"Then we explain to them our true identity" Ryou said.

"Okay" Malik said.

When they were done getting dressed they went outside into the corridor.
There was a servant there, who guided them to the dinning hall. Once they got there, everyone stopped eating and looked at them.

"Finally, you guys are here. Everyone meet our new personal slaves" Bakura exclaimed as he pushed Ryou in a sat next to him.

Yugi sat to the right of Atem. Malik sat next to Marik, and Joey sat next to Seto.

"So what are your names" asked Aknadin.

"I am Ryou" Ryou said nervously.

"I am Malik" Malik said with confidence.

"I am Joey" Joey said with a grin.

"And I am Yugi" Yugi said with a cute smile.

Aknadin froze and then got up. The old man walked up to Yugi and then hugged him.

"Pharoah I am so jealous. He is so cute and adorable" Aknadin said "don't you agree Suguroku"? Aknadin asked as he held Yugi's face and showed the adorable look to Suguroku.

"Yes I agree" Suguroku said with a laugh.

"Um excuse me, but can you please get off of me for a moment. I can't breathe" Yugi said cutely.

"Oh I am so sorry, my boy" Aknadin said sheepishly.

"It is okay. Most people tend to do that when they see me" Yugi said with a smile.

Then Aknadin went and sat back down. When he did the food was brought in.

"Food " Joey drooled.

"Joey control yourself or you can starve for three weeks" Ryou said.

"But Ryou, how can you be so calm when we have been starving for four whole months" Joey complained.

"Because he has more self control than you" Malik retorted.

"Shut up" Joey said.

"Wait so you guys haven't eaten in four months" Seto exclaimed.

"Yup" Yugi answered.

"But how can you starve for four months and not steal anything" Bakura asked.

"WILLPOWER" the four personal slaves answered.

"Wow you guys have strong wills then" Marik said.

"Anyways let's eat" Atem said.

They all nodded and began to eat.

"So do you guys have any parents" Ishizu asked.

The four boys stopped eating and looked down.

"No" Yugi said close to tears.

"Oh, I am sorry if that subject was a bit touchy" Ishizu apologized.

"It is okay" Yugi said with a sad smile.

"It isn't really a subject we tell others about" Ryou said.

"Oh well you can tell us about it whenever you feel like it okay" Aknadin said.

"Thank you" Malik said.

Throughout the rest of dinner thy were talking and laughing. Then they went to their chambers. Yugi followed Atem to his chambers. When they got there Atem closed the door and went to his bed.

"Um excuse me, but where do I sleep" Yugi asked.

"You can sleep on the bed here with me" Atem suggested.

Yugi blushed, but got in the bed anyways.
When he got on the bed, his back was facing Atem. Then suddenly firm, strong arms wrapped around his waist and he was pulled into a well built chest. Yugi tensed, but then relaxed into the embrace. Atem felt Yugi relax and smiled. He liked his new slave very much. Then Atem felt Yugi turn over in his sleep and faced Atem. Then Yugi snuggled closer to Atem's chest. Atem smiled at how beautiful Yugi looked in his sleep. After watching Yugi sleep for a little while longer, Atem fell asleep as well.
