It wasn't a long flight from Seattle to Portland at least. We were raring to get our clothing optional Saturday started.

I drove the streets of Portland and followed the GPS' directions to the hotel. Y/N was watching out the window just absent mindly twirling her hair around her finger. I knew she was deep in thought as she only did that when she was.

I chuckled lightly "Well Babe. According to the GPS we are about five minutes out but there is a restaurant right there," I said pointing ahead of me on the right "According to this it's a Puerto Rican restaurant."

"Nothing is like Mamá's," I said as I merged into the right lane and turned the blinker on to turn into the restaurant, Lo Norte Compadres (The North, my friends) and right next door is a Puerto Rican sweet shop, Isla Dulce (Sweet Island) "Look at there. Not only Puerto Rican restaurant but a sweet shop and before you ask we will get some sweets after," she grins at me as I parked.

We walked into Lo Norte Compadres and it was like walking into the island itself. We were immediately greeted by a waiter.

"Welcome to Lo Norte Compadres," he said "How many?"

"Two," we said and he lead us to a small intimate table by picture window overlooking a garden.

I held out a chair for y/n and she sat as I sat across from her as the waiter hands us menus "May I start you off with something to drink?" he asked.

"Well," I said looking at the menu "Well I know you. So I recommend jibarito and arroz con gandules. Jibarito is a plantain sandwich. Basically a burger on two fried plantains. And arroz con gandules is Puerto Rican rice."

"The jibarito sounds really good," she said glancing at the menu and back at me "What are you having?"

"The jibarito and arroz con gandules," I said "Because like you said this actually sounds really good," I chuckled.

"Luis?" she asked as she closed the menu.

"Yes. I will start teaching you how to make Puerto Rican food," I said with a smirk.

"How?" she asked.

"Back of my hand," I said making her smile "And besides I know how you love to cook and bake with me," as the waiter brings our pineapple juices.

Y/N took a drink and smiled "That's really good pineapple juice," she said.

"Freshly made," said the waiter with a smile "Are you ready to order ?"

I nodded "Two jibarito and arroz con gandules," I said and we hand him the menus.

"Coming up," he said.
