ᴏʀ ᴊᴜsᴛ ʙᴜʀɴ ᴛʜɪs sᴄʜᴏᴏʟ ᴅᴏᴡɴ.

During the first few days of school, Emori had reunited with some of her old classmates from middle school:

- Reid Morales, or 'Weed' the class clown

- Sydni Noris, or 'Aussi'. Dont ask me why they called her that, but she was kid that always got away with bringing illegal shit onto school grounds.

- and Nicholas Johnson, or 'Kai'. Who never failed to get anybody he wanted into trouble. He always had a this propaganda type shit that'll make you wish you were doing anything other than schoolwork.

"MOON-- get the fuck over here!" Sydni yelled through the halls, with her arms wide open as her silky hair bounced on her shoulders.

She pulled Emori into a huge hug, swaying from side to side, before breaking the hug to pull her green cargos back up.

"What the fuck?-- Your hair?!" Emori asked, staring at Sydni's new red wolfcut

"Bitch, like you didn't competely dye your shit pink. You pulling it off though" she stroked Emori's curls, which were tied up in a slicked puff.

Emori's big grin seeped through as they held arms while walking through the halls and catching up with each other's lives.

They soon caught up to Reid and Kai, dabbing them up as they already made jokes about teachers in the school.

[school bell ringing]

Not even a month into the school year, Emori already got herself into some trouble...

"FIGHT BITCH!" the crowd yelled as they surrounded Reid beating the shit out of some white boy with a bowl cut.

Emori and Sydni yelled, encouraging their friend as they yelled--

"--BEAT HIS FAT ASS" Syd told as she held her phone out

"--DONT FUCKING LOSE, BRO" Emori yelled, taking the heart-edible lollipop out of her mouth.

Until the principal seaped in through the crowd, tapping his left foot as he crossed his arms. The crowd went quiet as the two were cornered.

"Shit" the duo simoultaneously whispered

*in the principals office*

"...I was just passing by. I had nothing to do with this." Emori excused, sitting back in the leather seat.

"And Ms. Noris-- you were...recording?" the principal asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"I needed evidence-- its not illegal-- is it?" Sydni excused, persuading the principal.

They were too good at gaslighting the principal. Also they were straight A students, so it's believable.

"...Thank you for your input, ladies. You're dismissed."

But they always seem to get in shit whenever they were directly involved with the boys.

Like the time they set the school fire alarm off by trying to light up their cigarettes.

The four sat alone in the classroom, the girls trying to ignore the fact that Kai was turning the gas fire on and putting his cigarette right above it.

"Y'all better not be doing anything stupid" Syd told as her eyes were glued to the orange smoke coming out of the lab beaker.

Sydni and Emori were granted permission to test out some chemical reactions during lunchtime. They were so occupied that they didn't see that Kai and Reid were lighting up some shit in the class.

"Yo 'Pink Friday'," Kai asked, her eyebrows furrowing at the new nickname, "pass me that--"

"YO, WHAT THE MOTHERFU--" she yelled as she saw what they were doing before--

They four heard nothing, only seeing a bright colorful explosion coming from one of the glass beakers. They were all blown off balance, tipping over their high stools.

"Fuck" Kai whispered as he realized that the smoke interfered with the chemical reaction that he girls were storming up.

Their ears rang from the impact as they tried to make their way in the smoke-filled room.

"WHERE THE FUCK IS THE EXTINGUISHER, BRO" Sydni asked as she waved her hands across her face to clear her view.
The glass of the beaker had finally broken, adding to the mess that that the classroom was already in.

Reid painfully failed his attempt at properly distinguishing the fire before the slow alarms went off, spilling the agent all over his cargo pants.

"YOU HAD ONE FUCKING JOB" Emori yelled as she grabbed the extinguisher and put the fire out.

"BUT DONT THIS SCHOOL DESERVE TO BE BURNT DOWN, BRO? Shit" Kai yelled as the lights flickered

The fire alarm pierced their already impacted ears with its whining cry. They heard a crowd walking right outside the class as teachers nagged the students to 'stay calm' and 'don't run'.

"WHAT THE FUCK, KAI?" Sydni asked as the girls quickly took their lab coats off and dusted themselves off.

The four swiftly got out of the classroom, following the crowd of students that were directed to the field outside, pretending like they didn't just nearly blow the school up.

It took at least 29 minutes for the school to figure who the culprits were, with the help of their faulty camera system.

The four knew to separate to minimize being called out, Emori going to sit with her brother, completely ignoring the face that he was flirting with a girl that sat in front of him.

Her leg bounced as she kept looking back at the culprits, trying to laugh and making surprised faces at each other.

"...Mr. Johnson, Mr. Morales, Ms. Noris and...Ms. Leroy: To the principals office please" the dead voice over the intercoms commanded, everyone awkardly turning to those with the particular last names.

"Emori-- its way too early for this shit" Oscar aggresively told her under his breath.

"It's also early to be macking on a prefect" she stood up and dabbed her brother up with their signature handshake, ignoring his surprised face.

Oscar scoffed and laughed as he watched his sister walk down the stairs and out of the hall.

He even saw people like Maddy and Kat turn to him while asking inaudible questions and scoffing as they giggled.

*back in the principals office*

"...Detention. For all of you!" the principal ordered after scolding them.

"Yo, we didn't even start it!" Sydni protested as as she stood up

"Accomplices will always go down with the criminals. Maybe do better to report the misbehavior before you get tangled in it." the principal told them

"What the fuck?" Em whispered, as they all tried to hold their giggles in.

"Seeing you four afterschool today" another voice said cockily, right outside the office.

They weren't surprized that they got detention, they we're shocked that it was the only punishment for literally endangering innocent lives.

But hey, thats the educational system as we know it.

'Mori dragged her feet into the assigned detention class, deeply sighing as she saw her least favorite English teacher seated on the swingy chair.

"You four: separate." the teacher ordered as she saw they were about to bunch up together.

Emori rolled her eyes, before laying them on a girl with a strawberry printed crop top, and hairclips to pull back her golden brown curls.

She scoffed in utter disbelief, before loudly whispering "--Gia fucking Bennett, what is your smart ass doing in detention?"

The girl slowly turned around, widening her eyes and mouth as she saw--

"Emori?" a smile grew on Gia's face as she saw the pink haired girl.

That was going to be a hella interesting detention session for Emori, she even forgot why exactly why she was there.

Oscar leaned on the car as he waited with a few mates for his sister to come out from detention.

He finally saw the pink haired girl, speed walking in her dark boyfriend jeans and blue cut out tank top.

"How was nearly blowing up the school?" One of Oscar's friends asked as he chuckled

Emori so gracefully flipped him off, not bothering to say a word before—

"—Guess who I saw at detention? I wanna know why Gia Bennett was in there with me" her eyes widened as she dumped her bag in the trunk.

"I wanna know why you were at detention" her older brother asked as he took off his basketball jacket that was probably drenched in sweat from practise, holding the sleeves around his neck.

"Like you haven't done shit— I know you like to scribble graffiti on the bathroom stalls" Emori snapped back

"'Ey— it's art and this school needs some life to it" the passionate teen defended as his eyes followed his unbothered sister as she waved her hands in the air at someone.

The sibling duo waved at Rue's little sister in the distance as they waited for her to reach them since they'd be dropping her home.

"I DONT GOT ALL DAY, GIA" Oscar yelled through the parking lot, leaning on the nearest door

"sorry" she awkwardly chuckled as she walked faster in the blazing sun

Gia awkwardly waved at the sibling duo as they watched her gracefully walk in her green jeans to the backseat of the car.

As Oscar just pulled over by Gia's place, the trio caught Rue, sneakily leaving the house.

"Yo! Crackhead!" Emori yelled out of the window as she opened the door for Gia.

Everyone lay their eyes upon the messy hair of Rue, and her furrowed eyebrows and squint—not just from the sun.

"...Emori? Am i high or?" Rue asked as the siblings walked Gia to the doorstep of her house.

"Are you?" Gia asked with an attitude.

"What? No no...of course not" Rue quickly spat "That was a joke" she awkwardly chuckled as everyone peered at her on whether she relapsed or not

Emori and Oscar rolled their eyes as they bombarded the restless girl with a hug as she walked towards them.

"...This is...nice. What are you guys doing here?" Rue pulled away from the hug, "Cool hair" she told Emori

"If you really think we'd voluntarily visit your drug addict ass, no, we aren't" Emori teased as she looked back and giggled with Gia

"Dropped your sister off from school" Oscar told as he pointed at Gia who stood with crossed arms, behind them

Rue waved at her sister, before squinting at the siblings and nodding

"Neat. Well— I'm out, so—" Rue took a big step in her beat up converses.

"—Wait you're going to see that blonde girl?" Gia asked, not bothering to mention her name

"Who?— The one crying in the halls 24/7?" Emori teasingly asked

"The one with the cool pants right?" Oscar asked his sister, the both of them giggling as they excitedly agreed on their mutual encounter

"Yeah, she's been in tears since the first day of school" Emori agreed, trying not to giggle at the ridiculousness

"Who is she anyways? She okay?" Oscar asked, concerned, squinting as he faced the sun again

"That's Jules, you ignorant assholes—" Rue looked at them disappointedly as she tilted her head

"Blind assholes. I couldn't see shit in those halls" Oscar corrected as he walked to the car

"Ohh...Jewel!" Emori didn't bother to explain her realisation

"Well-- she's been my girlfriend...since New Years" Rue announced, resting her hands on her hips

"It wasn't before that?" Gia genuinely asked as she blocked the sun from her eyes, looking at her sister who starting calculating something in her head

"Uh...well—" Rue awkwardly scratched her head

"Aww look at you being able to bag the blonde bitch, I was losing hope" Oscar optimistically cheered, Rue flipping him off

"Thanks Oscar. Right— this was fun. I'm going so—" Rue told the trio as she fidgeted with her hands, before they all parted ways

"Bye, Gia!" Emori waved as she opened the car door. Gia quietly waved back as she laughed at the interaction she just witnessed

"Yeah...Rue definitely relapsed" Oscar said as he inserted the car key

"What? How'd you know?" Emori put her seatbelt on, furrowing her eyebrows

"Look at her" they stared at the curly head as she walked in a zigzag line, almost bumping into one of the street lights, then apologising to the inanimate object.

"...Sober Rue wouldn't even come out of the house. I've been around long enough to notice" Oscar told his sister, watching as her face grew more worrisome, before the two of them watched the poor girl fail to walk in a straight line for a few moments

Emori led a disappointed sigh, her mouth fiddling as she stroked her curls in frustration.

[car engine starting]

"...Don't tell Gia, though. She's been through enough." Oscar softly told as he aggressively changed gears.
