// Castiel's POV

"Everything." Cas stated, looking into the green eyes.

Dean looked a bit shocked and worried at the same time.

"I remember kissing Meg in front of you. I remember being drunk. I kissed her in front of you. On purpose....I think. I wanted you to see how I felt when you kissed Tessa in front of me. And yes I know she kissed you and I kissed her but...you did return the kiss.

I remember Charlie calling me and taking me to you." He said.

"Oh Cas...I- I'm sorry..." Dean looked down at his feet.

"I remember saying horrible stuff about myself. And...I remember you...kissing me." Castiel whispered.

Dean glanced up at Cas with sad eyes. He looked hurt. Was Cas not supposed to know?

"God Cas...I uh. You weren't supposed to find out. Or this would happen. Listen it... I was drunk. It was a mistake."

And with those four words...Castiel's heart shattered. His eyes widened and filled with tears. He tried to blink them away. He tried to swallow the growing lump in his throat. But he just couldn't.

It was a mistake.

That's what it all was.

Even this.

This entire thing. The meadow. The lake. The flower.

It was just all a mistake.

Dean was drunk. He didn't know what was happening.

Dean Winchester was straight.

And it was all just a mistake.

Castiel dropped the flower and stepped away from Dean.

He turned away from him. He didn't want him to see the single tear that fell from his eye as he choked on his breath.

"I- I get it. Thank you for clarifying that Dean. I understand." He stated loud enough for him to hear. His voice was raspy.

The lump in his throat grew.

And he ran.

"W-wait Cas!" Dean called behind him. But Castiel Novak didn't care.

He ran past the lake and deeper into the woods.

Stupid. You're so stupid. Of course Dean doesn't like you! You're such a stupid faggot. The voice in his head laughed. Alastair. His voice just kept teasing him and taunting him.

"Shut up." Cas whispered.

He didn't even know where he was going. He was running in the opposite direction of the Impala.

He just didn't know where he was going anymore.

Castiel ran until he was out of breath. And he still kept running.

His foot caught on a twig and Cas fell face forward down a hill, hitting his back on a rock.

He stood up. His back ached with pain, but he didn't care.

He just ran.

Castiel found a path that lead out the woods, out the park, and he found his way back to the house.

The lights were on.

It wasn't too late. Almost eight.

There was an old rusted truck in the driveway. It didn't belong to anyone he- no.

Oh god no. Not now. Why now?! Oh jesus please no!

Castiel ran into the house, forgetting the pain in his back.

"Anna!" He yelled running into the kitchen.

She was sitting in her usual spot. But instead of reading the paper and having her usual coffee, she was crying. Hard. Her arm covering her face.

"Cassie! Castiel! Oh god Cas." She whispered looking up. Her cheek and eye, swollen. Blood smearing her arms and neck.

She was the only one there.

"Oh my god Anna." Castiel sighed and ran towards his sister. She cried harder and tugged at his jacket.

"Anna. Where's Gabriel?!" Castiel asked frantically.

Her eyes widened and filled with even more tears.

She slowly lifted a shaking finger and pointed behind Cas.

Castiel turned behind him and there they were.

Gabriel standing in the hall. His eyes red from crying and his nose and mouth bleeding, a few cuts on his neck. And holding him by his hair. . . Alastair.

A smirk spread across his face.

"Hello little brother." He sneered.

Castiel growled and balled up his fist, standing in front of Anna.

"Let. Him. Go." He stated, his voice raising in volume.

"Oh right. I don't need him or our petty sister. I came for you. Or did you forget I swore the next time I came, I would kill you?" He laughed.

"Cassie..." Gabriel whimpered. Alastair cut along his cheek.

"Shut it boy." Alastair warned. Gabriel whimpered again as tears fell from his eyes.

Gabriel would usually fight back. He was in high school! But he would never fight Alastair. The only one who did was Anna, and that already didn't end well.

Castiel walked towards Alastair. He wasn't having any of this shit tonight. Whether he died or not. He didn't care. Alastair wasn't going to hurt Gabriel and Anna. Not anymore.

Alastair threw Gabriel aside and lunged himself at Cas, knife in hand.

"Castiel!" Anna yelled in fear. Gabriel ran to her side and pulled out his phone. He took Anna into another room and locked the door.

"Gabriel! What are you doing?! We have to help your brother!" Anna yelled, reaching for the door.

"No Anna. You've fought enough. Look at you! Leave Cassie. I'm calling for help."

"Gabe you know you can't call the police! He'll kill us before they answer the phone!" Anna pleaded.

"I'm not calling the police."

// Dean's POV

Dean picked up the flower from the floor and sighed.

He just ruined everything.

He had said it was a mistake.

It wasn't mistake.

Hell it was the best thing that had happened to him in a long time!

And now Cas was gone.

God why did he say that to Cas?! He needed to apologize.

Dean started walking out of the meadow and back into the woods.

His phone rang.

Dean pulled it out of his pocket and and read the caller I.D.

It was Sammy.

Dean slightly smiled and answered the phone.

"Hey Sammy, what's up."

"D-Dean! Oh thank god you picked up! Dean! Dean! G-Gabe. Gabriel! Cas! Castiel! Their in trouble! Please! Gabriel's hurt! Dean please! We have to help them!" He yelled frantically into the phone.

Dean's eyes widened.

"Sammy. Stay inside. I'm going."

"No Dean! I need to see Gabriel!" Sam whined.

Dean hung up the phone and ran into the Impala.

He started the engine and sped towards Cas' house.

Not him. Not his Cas. Not his angel. He needed to be okay. He just had to.

Dean sped into the driveway and ran out of the car, towards the door.

He tried the knob. Unlocked.

Dean swung the door open and ran inside.

"CASTIEL!" Dean yelled running around the house.

"Dean!" Someone whispered.

"Cas?"

"No. Gabriel!" Gabriel whispered.

"Gabe. Where's Cas?!"

"Alastair. H-he took him out of the house. I heard them in the backyard. Dean he's going to kill Cassie! That bitch is going to kill my brother." He cried.

"No he wont. Not on my watch. Stay here. Take care of your sister." Dean said looking behind the boy, Anna was sitting on the ground, knees up to her chest, trembling.

Gabriel nodded and closed the door.

Dean ran into the backyard and saw Castiel pushed up against the wall by someone taller and older than him. That was probably Alastair.

Cas's face was smeared in blood, his hair damp and sticking to his forehead from sweat and more blood. Cuts on his neck.

"Cas..." Dean breathed out, "CAS!"

The man turned to him with a smirk. Castiel looked at Dean and whimpered, shaking his head.

"Dean...r-run..." Castiel whispered before being punched.

"Hey douchebag! Let him go!" Dean yelled.

"Oh...are you his faggot boyfriend?" Alastair stated cheekily.

Dean lunged himself at the man and threw him off of his Cas.

Castiel fell to the ground and coughed up blood.

Alastair grunted and ran at Dean, pointing the knife at him.

Dean dodged it and punched the guy's nose, causing him to stumble back.

Dean jumped on top of him and starting beating him.

"S-stupid faggot!" Alastair yelled and tried to push Dean off.

Dean beat him again until he was passed out.

Dean stepped off of him and ran towards Cas.

"Cas...Cas. Hey hey hey come on, stay with me buddy." Dean pleaded.

Cas coughed and smiled at Dean.

"T-thank you D-dean..." his voice was raspy and it was trailing off.

"Yea yea. Don't worry about that now. I called the cops...they should be here soon. Come on Cas, buddy. Stay with me. I need you. I can't live without you. I love you. Just stay with me." Dean whispered hugging the boy.

Castiel's eyes widened and he began to cry.

He cried in pain.

He cried in sadness and hatred.

He cried for Gabriel and Anna.

He cried of happiness.

He cried because Dean loved him.

Castiel cried because he loved Dean Winchester. And he was loved in return.
