20. He Remembers
*Hello! Another update! Yay! So are you guys really enjoying this? Well I hope ya'll are! Enjoy this chapter!*
// Dean's POV
The bell rang and the school day was over.
Dean needed to find Cas. He needed to talk to him. He didn't get to ask if he remembered anything.
He probably didn't. But Dean just needed to make sure.
He would ask him out somewhere. This would be special. He'd tell him everything.
Dean roamed the halls looking for the trench coated boy.
And there he was. Walking away.
"Cas!" Dean called waving.
Castiel turned around and walked up to Dean with a smile.
"Hello, Dean." Cas stated.
"So I was wondering...w-would you. That is do you. With me. D-dinner - Shit. I fucked up. I fucked it all up." Dean mumbled flustered and blushing hardly.
He looked down at his feet.
"Yes I'd like to go out with you!" Cas yelled.
Dean's eyes widened as Castiel ran off.
He looked up, his mouth open in shock.
Dean blushed and smiled.
"I'll pick you up at six!" Dean called before running off to his car.
Sam was there. Oh yea...that girl Sam liked. For some reason Dean really wanted Gabriel to be more in Sam's life.
He had changed so much already. Cas had told him Sam had spoken. And it was because of Gabriel.
"Hey Sammy!" Dean smiled widely at his younger brother.
Sam smiled and nodded, stepping into the car.
Dean started the engine and drove towards their home.
"So how'd it go with that girl?" Dean asked with a smirk.
Sam blushed an looked out the window.
"Okay..." Sam stated.
"You know Sam...I was just thinking...like what if Gabriel became a bigger part of your life?" Dean asked cautiously.
Sam's blush darkened and he looked down at his hands.
"Dean...he...he already has." He whispered.
Dean's eyes widened and a smile spread across his face.
"Well...I'm happy to hear that. I'll need to talk to him. You know like a little interview. Oh and I'm taking Cas out tonight. Just like...stay safe okay? Hopefully I wont be gone too long."
Sam nodded.
"So are you and Cas...?" Sam gestured to nothing.
Dean blushed darkly and bit the inside of his cheek.
"What? No Sammy! Don't be stupid. There's nothing between me and Cas. He's just a friend." He tried to explain.
Sam laughed and shook his head.
"Whatever Dean."
The heat in Dean's cheeks calmed down as he tried to think of something else. Hmm where would he take Cas? Somewhere nice. An amusement park? An actual park?
Or maybe...yea that could work. It had a nice view.
Dean pulled up to their house and both Winchesters stepped out.
Sam grabbed an apple before walking up to his room.
Dean walked over to the fridge and grabbed a beer. He sat on the sofa and turned on some Dr Sexy.
// Castiel's POV
Castiel followed behind Gabriel into their home. Gabriel ran upstairs into his room and closed the door. Hmm that was strange.
Cas walked into the kitchen and made himself a hamburger. God those things were good.
He walked up to his room and shut the door. He wandered over to his desk and took out his sketchbook, a pen and pencil.
He began to sketch.
He drew the tree Dean and him hung out at everyday.
On one of the branches he drew Dean hanging upside down from it and himself staring at the green eyed man.
After an hour or so he put the finished painting away and opened his laptop to watch his favorite youtuber...Danisnotonfire.
He watched a few videos before going to take a shower.
He switched on the warm water and let it run over his body.
Castiel squirted soap into his hands and lathered it into his hair.
He shut his eyes so the soapy water wouldn't sting him and finished washing himself.
He grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist and stepped back into his room.
Castiel looked into the mirror. His hair was dripping wet. A towel wrapped loosely around his waist. He had a few minutes to get ready.
He would wear something different tonight.
Cas grabbed a dark green shirt from his closet and leather jacket. He pulled out black jeans from his drawer and slipped those on.
The shirt clung to his chest. Maybe Dean would like that. Maybe he wouldn't. Well it would dry soon.
He walked downstairs and found Anna sitting at the table working on something.
"Anna...Can I um..." he began.
"If it's with Dean. No." She said not looking up.
"Oh Anna please! He's taking me out to dinner. And well...I think he likes me."
Anna looked up at him and sighed.
"Okay Cassie. If you really want to go with that Dean of yours...okay." She smiled.
Cas smiled widely as the door bell rang.
He thanked his sister before running out the door.
"Use protection!" Anna yelled with a laugh.
"Uh..." Dean looked at Castiel with a blushed red face.
"Sorry about her." Cas coughed.
Dean laughed and grabbed Cas' hand. They both blushed.
"Let's go?" Dean asked with a shy smile.
Cas nodded and followed him into the Impala.

// Dean's POV
Dean knocked on the boy's door.
It swung open and there was Cas. Dressed in the same outfit as the party. Except he was wearing a dark green shirt.
He must've taken a shower because his hair was glossy from the water and his shirt clung to his chest. He was actually pretty muscular.
But damn he looked good. Dean just wanted to let his hands roam that chest and-
Get it together Dean!
"Use protection!" Someone called out from the inside of the house.
Dean blushed darkly and Cas just chuckled lowly.
"Uh..." Dean started.
"Sorry about her." Cas smiled.
Dean grabbed his friend's hand and smiled.
"Let's go?" He asked and Cas nodded.
They had been driving for a while. And it looked like Cas was beginning to suspect something.
"I thought you were taking me to dinner, Dean. It doesn't look like there are any restaurants or diners around here..." Cas looked out the window.
Dean cleared his throat, "Well I'm taking you somewhere special instead."
Castiel looked over at him and narrowed his eyes.
Dean just ignored his stare and drove into a parking space at a park.
There were kids playing on swings and sliding off the slides.
"You brought me to a playground? Dean I'm not a child anymore." Cas sighed.
Dean laughed and ran out of the car.
He ran over to Cas' door but he was already out.
"Ah dude come one! I'm supposed to open the door for you." He groaned.
Castiel blushed and looked down at his feet.
"I am sorry Dean. I shall go back inside so you may accomplish your goal." Cas mumbled stepping back into the car.
Dean laughed to himself and opened the door for the boy and Cas stepped out.
"Happy now Dean?" Cas asked pursing his lips.
Dean smirked and kissed Castiel's nose.
"Very."
Castiel blushed and looked away.
Dean grabbed his hand again and ran. The ran around the playground and into the woods.
"Dean where are we going?" Cas laughed.
Dean looked behind him and pressed a finger to his lips, winking.
After a few minutes Cas stopped and leaned over, grabbing his knees.
"D-Dean...I...can't run anymore..." he panted.
Dean shook his head and crossed his arm.
"Well then Cassie...you leave me no choice." Dean sighed before walking up to the tired boy and picking him up bridal style.
Castiel blushed darkly and tried to escape.
"Dean! P-put me down!" He squirmed.
"Nope. You asked for it. Now hold on angel." Dean winked before squeezing Cas' shoulders and running.
Cas gasped and wrapped one arm around the back of Dean's neck while the other one grabbed onto his shirt.
Cas hid his face in the crook of Dean's neck.
Dean smiled to himself and continued to run.
After a while he stopped and took a deep breath. He set Cas down and smiled.
"Okay Cas. Close your eyes." Dean smiled widely.
Cas narrowed his eyes and tilted his head.
"I don't understand. Why- "
"Damn it Cas!" Dean laughed before covering the boy's eyes.
"Dean I- "
"Shut it angel boy. Just- I'll guid you- it's a surprise."
Cas nodded and started to walk.
The walked down a path for a few minutes.
"Okay turn here...watch out, there are stones here." Dean whispered into Cas' ear.
Dean felt Castiel's cheeks warm up. Cas began walking cautiously but tripped over a rock anyways.
Dean wrapped his arm around his waist, his other hand still covering his eyes.
"I-I'm sorry. Thank you Dean." Cas whispered.
Dean helped Cas up and they walked the rest of the way.
"Okay Cassie we're here." Dean whispered with a smile.
He removed his hands from Cas' eyes but his eyes stayed shut for a while.
The shorter boy slowly opened his eyes and gasped.
Dean had brought him to a secret meadow. Deep in the woods.
There were daisies and rose bushes and carnations, lilies, tulips, larkspur and almost every flower you could think of.
"Oh Dean. This- this is just so...so beautiful." Cas walked around the meadow.
Dean smiled widely and watched as the curious fellow wandered the meadow.
"Hey Cas! Look over there!" Dean pointed behind the boy.
Cas looked behind him and his already bluer than blue eyes sparkled.
There was a lake. Or pond. Dean didn't know. It was too small for a lake and too big for a pond. So whatever was in between.
There were two swans in the water. A few lili pads floated on the surface of the clear liquid.
Dean looked around and picked up a flower.
He walked over to Cas and wrapped his arms around his waist.
Dean waved the flower in front of his friend and smirked.
"Dean...this is a really nice flower. What type is it." He asked taking it in his hands.
"Well I've been here enough to do research and find out it's called, Baby Blue Eyes."
"You're making that up." Cas turned around so he faced Dean, wrapping his arms around the man's neck.
Dean winked and pressed his forehead against Castiel's.
"Am not. This is a Babye Blue Eyes flower. I brought you here cause I knew they're in season. And they remind me of your bluer than blue eyes. God I love your eyes." Dean whispered, staring into the shorter one's eyes.
Cas looked down at his lips and licked his own.
"Well it's a beautiful flower Dean...thank you." He smiled.
Dean looked down at Cas' lips.
Cas looked into the fanfiction green eyes he fell in love with.
"Dean...I remember." He whispered.
Dean's eyes widened but softened just as fast.
"W-what do you remember. The party?"
"Everything."
