Since it's my birthday today, I was thinking to actually adjust this chapter to it so here you go:

Rain's point of view

"Stop frowning like that, it's your birthday!" My best friend Ryan yelled at me.

"But what if he's cheating on me Ryan? What if he doesn't like me as much as I like him?" I rambled on, feeling worried.

Everything was totally fine between me and my boyfriend Matthew. I mean sure, we had our ups and downs especially with Matthew being confused about his sexuality and being bipolar wasn't easy for him either. But every couple has to go through stuff like that.

After what we've been through things have somehow been starting to get better and better. It wasn't until two weeks ago that Matthew started to act all weird around me.

He doesn't answer any of my phone calls, doesn't want to meet up with me anymore and always comes up with these silly excuses. It came to the point that he even said to me that he had to feed his cat.

Matthew doesn't have a cat!

I've never been asking him about this, because I didn't want to ruin what we had. Everything finally went so well between us. I also didn't want him to worry or to think that I didn't trust him.

"Hey, we both know that Matthew made some mistakes and that he can be a total jackass sometimes. But he likes you Rain, why would he else come out in front of the whole school?" Ryan tried to assure me that Matthew wasn't cheating or anything as if he what was up with him.

But he was right. Matthew did so many amazing things for me. He wouldn't just do that for me if he would cheat on me right? Or would he?

"Now come on, I really need your help with my Math homework" Ryan said so we stood up and went to walk towards my house since it wasn't a really long walk from school.

"Do you really think that he isn't cheating on me again?" I asked him and looked at Ryan in his brown eyes.

"I don't think so, I know so" He said with this knowing expression which made me curious.

What was he hiding from me?

I frowned, but let it go anyways. Maybe it wasn't my business and I didn't want to worry about anything else for now. He would've said something if he needed me or if it was important. He was my best friend after all.

When we arrived at my front door I found Ryan literally grinning at me like a total freak.

"Ryan? What the hell is going on, you're scaring me" I said and looked at him.

"Just open the door silly!" He said really impatient.

Confused, I did what he said and opened the door. We stepped into my living room and when I turned the lights on I almost got a heart attack.

"Surprise!" Everyone suddenly shouted and caused me to jump in surprise.

I looked around to see all my friends, my foster parents and the most important person from all of them; Matthew.

"Happy birthday babe" Matthew said as he stepped closer to me, giving me a kiss on my lips which was way too short for my liking and then I felt his arms snaking around my waist.

"B-but wha-? How? H-huh?" I asked totally confused and blown away from this surprise. I would've never guessed it.

"You didn't think I would forget your birthday, did you?" He asked smirking like an idiot at me.

I shook my head, feeling guilty and went towards the rest. Everyone was eagerly and waiting impatiently for food.

"Hurry up Rain!" Yelled Ryan at me which made me laugh instantly.

I bet they all came for the food part anyways.

"Now blow out the candles babe" Matthew whispered in my ear from behind me.

I looked at the cake and made a wish before blowing out the candles. Everyone cheered and fought for a piece which made me laugh too loud. Just the picture of everyone talking happily and fighting for food made me happy.

My eyes went to my foster parents who were feeding each other like little baby's. Then I looked at my friends, all talking about different subjects and making fun of each other. As last I looked at Matthew who looked back at me with a genuine smile as if he also felt really happy.

After a while we opened the presents and then everyone just talked with someone about anything. It was literally the best birthday ever. I didn't need to do something fun, a small party with all of my loved ones was already perfect enough.

"Hey, do you wanna go out for a bit?" Matthew whispered to me.

"Yeah sure" I simply said. Matthew and I could use some alone time.

He grabbed my hand and we made it out of the house.

"Where are we going?" I asked him curious.

"You'll see" He said with a smirk, knowing I hated surprises.

"Come Matthew! You know I hate this" I particularly begged him.

"And that's why I love it" He said as he tightened his grip on my hand and gave me a kiss on my cheek.

"Rude" I murmured.

"Hey, I heard that!"

Oops.

When I looked up after a while I knew where we were heading to. It was the same park from our second date where we were looking at the stars. Where I got my first kiss, where we kissed for the first time.

We stood still at that exact same point where we laid down the last time, but now we weren't laying down.

"So, I uh brought you here for a reason" He started nervously and I kept looking in his breathtaking eyes, for him to continue.

"I haven't given you my present yet" He said before giving me a small black box.

I looked up at him and then back at the small box. I opened it and saw a beautiful shining and silver ring with small diamonds in it. I didn't even dare to ask him how many it would have cost him.

Wait.. No, god no.. He wasn't proposing to me, was he?

He already spoke up when he saw my panicking face.

"It's a promise ring" He explained to me.

I kept looking at the ring in awe. It was really beautiful and I couldn't believe that he got me something like this, something so expensive. I look up at him to continue.

"I'm not asking you to marry me right now, but I want you to marry me some day. That's why I brought you here, because I knew it when we first kissed. I knew that you were the one for me and I wasn't ready to admit that back then which I apologize for putting you through that. I know it wasn't easy for you either, but I love you Rain and all I want and need in life is you" He said with so much passion, I've never seen him this serious about something and it confirmed to me that he meant ever word he said.

"I-I'm speechless Matthew. I want you too and of course I will marry you, but you didn't have to buy me something so expensive!" I said and punched his shoulder, knowing he was stronger and didn't feel anything anyways.

"Only for you Rain" He said and I frowned.

What if I didn't make it? What if we will never get married or adopt kids or move in together?

"Hey, did I do something wrong? What's up?" Matthew asked me as he looked at my expression.

"W-what if I-"

I didn't continue my sentence, but seeing his sad face caused by me said enough. He knew what I meant.

"Don't think about that okay? We're here now, together and you're alive" He suddenly kissed me after saying this.

We ended up in a heated and passionate kiss, it almost reminded me of the first time. This time was still different, because this one wasn't as calm and slow as back then. But I still liked it anyways.

He broke the kiss and started to kiss my jawline, neck and collarbone. Of course the tease had to mark me with his love bites which caused me to suffer from all the pleasure. Before I knew it, both of our shirts were nowhere to be found.

My hands found its way to his soft and slight curly hair which was funny since his hair was normally straight. My hands up his body, abs and muscles, it actually turned me on. I tucked at his belt which made him look up at me. His eyes were filled with lust.

"Are you sure?" He whispered out of breath and caused me goosebumps all over my skin.

I nodded my head as answer.

"Really?" He asked me again.

"I want you to be my first and last before you know.. I've never been this sure. I'm ready Matthew, I need you" I said with confidence and I meant it.

We've been through so many things and we managed to fight back together. I knew from the start that Matthew would be the one for me. It was him, it was always him.

He kissed me again, this time slower and longer as if he wanted to take all the time he could get. Then he kissed my Adam's apple and kissed my skin lower and lower.
