Blicket

Hey guys!! This was requested by UniverseTheAllwing

I personally ship Blicket, I think they're pretty perfect for each other. And they're just super cute together. :)

Cricket walked through the jungle, looking around for someone. She'd looked everywhere, but the dragon she was looking for wasn't to be found. Come on. She thought anxiously. I have something important to tell you. Cricket spotted Sundew with Bumblebee. The Leafwing had grown very attached to the little Hivewing dragonet. Cricket made her way over. "Have you seen Blue?" She asked Sundew. Sundew shrugged. "Nope. Why?" She grinned wickedly. "are you looking for him?" Cricket blushed. 'I, no....I was just wondering." She said quickly. Sundew rolled her eyes. "Sure........" She said. "He's over there." Sundew pointed to a little patch of leaves where the tip of a blue wing could be seen. Cricket thanked Sundew, said goodbye to her friend, and headed towards where Blue was.

Blue was sitting behind a patch of leaves, trying to hide from Cricket. It wasn't that he didn't like her, he actually liked her quite a bit, and that was why he was hiding. A big green leaf sat in front of him with words scribbled onto it. He wanted to tell Cricket how he felt with a note, but he just couldn't figure out what to say. Every so often, a little voice in his head would say, "You could just tell her." And everytime, Blue would ignore the voice. Little sparks of nervousness flew through him every time he thought about going up to Cricket and saying, I love you. Blue could never do that, he knew it. Suddenly, the tip of a familiar talon peeked through the leaves, followed by a head. "Blue!" Cricket exclaimed. Blue slid the scroll behind a tree and smiled at this dragon he loved. "I've been looking everywhere for you!" Cricket said, blushing a little. Blue blushed a little too. "Why were you in here?" Cricket asked, cocking her head. "You weren't......hiding, from me, were you?" Blue didn't say anything, just sat in a guilty silence. Cricket frowned, her eyes shining with tears. "Alright, then." She said stiffly, and walked away. When she's gone, Blue buried his face in his talons and groans. "I've just ruined everything."

Cricket reaches up and wipes away the last tear, her eyes puffy and red. Her brain was still trying to process that Blue had been hiding. From her. The thought made tears well up in her eyes again, but she didn't let them fall. Just because Blue didn't love her back didn't mean she'd stop loving him, it only meant that she'd never tell him. "Oh Cricket, why do you have to be so stupid?" She asked herself. "If you hadn't fallen in love, none of this would've happened!" But deep inside, Cricket knew. She couldn't have stopped herself from falling in love with sweet, sensitive, timid, shy, perfect Blue. Maybe it would've been better if they'd never met. But just the thought of never meeting Blue, the dragon who'd helped her through so much, made her want to curl up and cry again.

Blue sat with his wings folded limply at his sides, his tail over his talons. He'd been thinking about Cricket so much that he was tempted to go and find her, to tell her he loved her. But something stopped him every time. She doesn't want to see me. And it's not like she'll ever love me back, I mean, she's..................Cricket. The most wonderful, beautiful, perfect dragon in the world. And I'm just me. How could she ever love me?

Cricket had left her spot. The ground was wet from her crying and she wanted to see if Blue was at the leaf patch. When she reached it, Blue's wing wasn't peeking over the edge. Cricket pushed her way through. "Blue?" She whispered hopefully, but Blue wasn't there. Cricket was about to leave when a splash of green caught her eye. She pulled a leaf from behind a tree, reading the writing on it.

Stripes of black, wings of yellow
So strong, yet so mellow
The one who took my heart
And held onto it forever
And if she were to love me back
I'd love her more than ever

Cricket, the one I love
I hope you love me too
I've been loving you forever
I hope you know that's true

Love from the one who loves you,
Blue

Cricket felt tears welling up in her eyes, tears of sadness mixed with joy. "He loves me." She whispered to herself. Then she raced out of the leaf patch to find Blue.

Blue had been sitting in silence for so long, when he heard someone behind him, he almost jumped out of his wings. He turned to see Cricket, looking happy and a bit red. She smiled and came to sit in front of Blue. She took his talon in her own and began to talk. "I'm sorry, Blue, I ruined everything." She said. Blue cocked his head at her, his mind becoming hopeful, his heart pounding. She slid me a bright green leaf. I unrolled it to find a message written on it.

Scales of blue
With a heart of gold
A secret of mine that's never been told
Love burns deep inside my heart
For the one that's set apart

I love you Blue, for who you are
A sweet Silkwing who's come so far
A dragon that I fell for
And love more everyday than the day before

Blue looked up at simple, smiling Cricket. She looked at him too. "I love you Blue." She said. "And I have since the day we met." Blue smiled, pulling Cricket close and placing his lips on her hers. "I love you too, Cricket." He said once he pulled away. "I've been loving you forever."
