Kokichi's POV
I'm so grateful that Nagito and Hajime made it to Shuichi when they did. I would hate it if Shuichi had to go through the same thing I had to with Kaede and Rantaro. I mean we did both get attacked the other day because of me...it could have gotten really bad if they hadn't left...but I know tomorrow is going to be hell for Shuichi...

I wrapped my arms around his torso and rubbed his back. I could feel the fabric under my fingers it made me smile knowing that he trusted me with his secret. He caressed my neck moving his hands to the back of my neck and after a moment he moved them into my hair. I leaned into his touch and let my eyes close for a moment before I realized that we had homework to do.

"Hey Shu~ I love doing this with you...but we should really get our homework done..." I whispered kissing his cheek and trailing kisses until my lips met his. I kissed him for a moment before pulling away. "Yeah, that would be good..." He said with a kind smile. It made my heart melt when he does things like that! He is just so cute~.

"I just have a bit of math homework left," Shuichi said making me groan. I know he is going to take like two minutes because he is so smart...smarter than me not that I would admit it... "I just have some English and math," I sighed pulling out my notebook to get the work done. Math is such a pain in the ass...I mean why would there be so many variables...

"Do you need some help?" Shuichi said in his unfairly angelic voice. "Yes..." I mumbled not liking having to admit I needed help. Shuichi chuckled at me before he rested his arms around my shoulders as he looked at my paper. "Here Kokichi you just need to remember to do this step before moving on with the steps." When he explained it...it just clicked in my head. I know how to do this! I started redoing all the problems I got stuck on while Shuichi had to help me every once and a while. 

After half an hour, I finished the worksheet and already felt exhausted. "Kokichi, I believe in you! You just have to finish the last paragraph in your paper!" Shuichi said with enthusiasm making me blush for a moment before I suppressed it quickly. I smiled at his enthusiasm and walked over to his computer. I quickly logged in and opened my paper like all other school papers it was hella boring to write...I sighed and decided to bite the bullet and write the last eight sentence paragraph. Shuichi rubbed my back every time when I stopped for a moment and got stuck. He didn't say anything so I could focus and I was hella grateful for that.

"Look you finished and turned it in! Good job Kichi!" Shuichi said pulling me into his arms. I felt myself smile like a genuine smile for the first time in a long time. I think Shuichi noticed it as well because he was smiling just the same. He grabbed my hand and pulled me into a quick kiss. I could get used to this! Shuichi is so kind and gentle and doesn't deserve what Kaede and Rantaro's clique did to him.

Shuichi laughed and played a song with his phone before he gestured for me to dance with him. I grabbed his hand with a smirk and pulled him closer to me before we started dancing. Neither of us had any sort of dancing experience but it was still one of the best moments in my life. Dancing was never something anyone wanted to do with me...everyone is either too afraid to touch me...but with Shuichi, it's like all my imperfections don't matter like all of my flaws don't matter and nothing else matters in the room but me.

Shuichi held me in his arms and let my head rest on his shoulder. The front part of his shoulder because I'm short and can't rest it somewhere on his shoulder...this made me irritated but I didn't let that ruin the moment. He grabbed my hand and planted kisses on my knuckles. I giggled at the action but let him continue. I love being able to get affection from this beauty...he is like something out of a movie...a real live angel. My own angel. I'm so blessed to have you in my life love...

"Kokichi, you need to get home soon don't you?" I tensed hearing him say the word home. God, I hate going home! My mom hates me because I'm not who she wants me to be and my sister harasses me until I get her what she wants! They treat me like a fucking slave there...here at Shuichi's house they treat me like a part of the family...I just wish things were different...

"Yeah, I do," I picked up my phone and frowned. 17 messages from my mom asking me where I am...no not because she gives a shit...why would she do that...she needs me to clean the house for a dinner she is having with her new boyfriend...gross. "Would you like a ride home?" He asked kindly. God...I would just stay here and never go back there again...but I have to graduate first...I have to make it just a little longer... 

"No, it's alright!" I grabbed my bag and went to the front door. Shuichi and Mrs. Saihara said their farewells to me at the door. When I closed the door behind me Shuichi walked out. "Hey, I had a good time today...want to do this again tomorrow..." He whispered with a blush on his cheeks. "Yes, I would love to..." I said before pulling him into a kiss. I gave him a sad smile and went on my way.
