Horrible Timing
It was hard completely changing this one from the original one shot in the one shot book, but it just didn't fit. Anyways thanks Descendantsfan03 for letting me use the triplets and quint in this story. You should totally check her out. I really hope you enjoy despite the changes and if you did vote and comment❤️.
Georgie sighs walking around her house making sure everyone was doing Alright. Drea was on her laptop in their office looking up more resources they could use to find out how to end the curse. Eden was coloring in her room accompanied by Pumpkin. Meanwhile, Mira and Brook looked in the books they did have for more clues. Nala and Tomo guarded the house for any intruders. They couldn't take any risks with so many against them.
After making sure everyone was safe and counted for. Georgie sits down in the office with the raven haired woman. Who was once again sitting on the freaking floor. Georgie still couldn't understand how Drea was comfortable. It had been a rough week to say the least. They had a few people attempt to break in but that was thankfully stopped by Nala and Tomo. They had to deal with the nasty window guys because their windows had once again broken due to a stupid targeter. Olive just went back to college leaving Drea and Georgie with barely any help, and they had yet another car crash.
" Hey Drea, found anything yet?" Georgie questions her friend. Drea shook her head no looking at Georgie tiredly. The stress was really starting to get to them. Georgie already had a pulsing headaches and it wasn't even lunch time yet
" There's literally nothing that we haven't already found, " Drea says, sounding defeated and Georgie sighs, placing a hand on the elder woman's shoulder. They had a little less than a year left. The pressure was on, and Georgie knew it. She felt it in every bone in her body. The nagging feeling in her mind doing it's worst.
" We'll find something we have to, " Georgie mutters in between the two of them. " Nothing is impossible, my best friends have super powers. These callings are obviously real. We both have them. We have to have faith that they will lead us in the right direction, "
"I know…" Drea murmurs, closing her eyes to relax for a moment. That moment of slight peace was interrupted when Nala started barking and the doorbell rang. Georgie immediately reaches for her phone. She turned on the security app expecting the worst. Instead she saw Nala and Tomo flocking a blue haired young lady and three toddlers. Georgie sighs as she presses a button on the device connected to Nala's collar.
" Nala, Tomo, disengage I know them, " Georgie tells them slowly and they immediately went back to their patrol spots without further actions. Georgie went to open the door for Evie, wincing slightly when she moved her bad arm.
"Hey Evie, what are you doing here?" Georgie asks in confusion. She could feel Drea's anxiety as she let Evie in their home. Of course, Drea probably had an idea who Evie was, but Drea was still wary; it's just who she was. " D relax, it's another of Tessa's sisters she means us no harm, " She told Drea who nods letting her guard down.
" Drea Mikami nice to meet you, " she still sounded tense as she offered out her hand, but at least her gun, knife or taser wasn't out.
" Evie Queen, nice to meet you as well," the blunette replies, shaking Drea's hand, before turning back to Georgie, "What's with the two dogs out there. They don't seem very nice. They crowded me, " Evie asks Georgie, genuinely curious. Georgie sighs, in another world at another time. Tomo and Nala would be the most amazing and sweetest police dogs there were, but in this world they all had to be hardened. The two had a job to do and they were doing it amazingly.
"Oh them… " Georgie starts nervously not knowing exactly how to explain all of this or if she even wanted to. She glances at Drea who tries, but fails miserably at giving a reassuring smile. " They're Nala and Tomo, they are very friendly, but do take a while to warm up, " Georgie half lied. She really didn't feel like getting into this with Evie today. She and Drea had way too much on their plates. She then turns to the toddlers beside Evie with a small smile, " Eden's in her room if you want to play." Georgie says making the toddlers squeal and waddle off toward her niece's room.
" Way Eden! " They call out as Georgie leads Evie to the couch while Drea debates sitting in the chair or on the floor, " Drea, don't you think about sitting on the floor right now! There are plenty of good chairs to sit in, " Georgie scolds lightly and Drea huffs.
" Yes mom, " she says sarcastically, sitting down in the recliner, and pulling the footrest up. Georgie rolls her eyes although she was somewhat concerned since she could see the swelling on Drea's leg had yet to go down. They would have to talk about that after Evie left.
" What happened to your arm? " Evie asks starling Georgie out of her thought process. She had totally forgotten about the bandage covering her arm. Michi had told her to keep it cleaned and bandaged for at least a week to Georgie's dislike.
"Um… it's a long story, but don't worry it looks worse than it truly is." Georgie replies still feeling hesitant on the subject of the car crash, " Why are you here? " Georgie decides to ask, trying to switch the topic. WeBesides, she was still confused why Evie and the triplets were here. Evie hadn't even called to say she was coming.
" Mal, Liv, and Maddie were begging to see Eden. I didn't know who they were talking about, but Lola eventually told me. How did you become an Aunt, " Evie asks, quirking an eyebrow.
With that Georgie was brought back to the moment she first laid eyes on Eden, and knew that that little preemie was going to be something special. To the night where Grace had made her make the promise of a lifetime, to take care of Eden if something ever happened. " Time doesn't matter, it has been, what, almost two years? Georgie asks and the look on Drea's face at the comment nearly made Georgie laugh. Other than the fact time was of the essence at this point.
" Can I meet her…" Evie starts but gets cut off by a child launching onto the recliner actively startling Drea. It was unsurprisingly Eden who was now huddled up beside her on the couch crushing one of her injuries.
" What the heck Eden, " Drea exclaims in surprise and Eden finally shifts off the leg allowing Drea to get less pained breaths out. Georgie had also turned to their child and watched her and she could feel just how scared she was. Something had startled her and it was nothing good, Georgie was sure of that.
" Mean man's coming again the one that did that, " Eden pointed to Georgie's arm and then Drea's leg, the two in question immediately tense. Could they just have one freakin day of peace? Was that too much to ask?
Before Georgie could ask if Eden was sure there were two dog snarls and a howl. Georgie sighs, pulling on her bulletproof vest. " Pumpkin, get them to the office now. Drea come on, " Georgie says, taking action and Drea already being half way out the door gun raised. And Eden had already dragged two of the three triplets with her to their safe room.
" Georgie what's… "
" I'll explain later right now follow Pumpkin and Eden, " Georgie replies, going to help Drea with whoever is outside.

Outside the door Georgie was surprised to see Eagen standing outside the gate, Nala lunging at him and Tomo looking like he would tackle him if he came through the gates. Drea was already getting the dogs to calm down. " Nal release, Tomo stand down for now, " Drea spoke sternly and both dogs did as told.
" Dang your dogs are harsh especially when they know me, " Eagen says, trying to pet Nala who was not having it and snap at him.
" Maybe that's because last time she saw you was the time you decided to… ya know crash our car, " Georgie says with unamusement glaring at Eagen and Drea still had her gun raised.
" I thought we told you. You're not welcome here, " Drea days warned in her voice it was easy to say she had never trusted Eagan. Georgie didn't either; he was a pain to deal with and only thought of himself. He thought he knew what was best for the passengers, yet never did anything to prove so.
" Well if you must know. You can stop trying to be our savior now. I figured out the curse, and I didn't even need the callings, " the man puffs out his chest proudly. Georgie and Drea roll their eyes at the thought.
" Sure ya did, " Drea scoffs, not believing a word that Eagen utters. The partners knew that it was far from over; they still had a year left, and the callings were the only things that could save them. Eagen was just a nut job.

" Pumpkin, turn on the talkie, I wanna hear what's goin on, " Eden told the dog once in Georgie's and Drea's office and Pumpkin looked at the girl more than Evie hesitantly.
" I don't know Eden, I really don't think Georgie would want her to know about all of this yet… " The curly dog replies, moving her head to point at Evie. Before nuzzling Eden softly.
" Aunt Georgie never wants people to know. They could help us Pumpkin, " Eden murmurs hopefully. She looked back to the triplet's mom.
" But at what cost Eden, " Mira steps in calmly, her and Brook having been startled out of their work when Eden, the triplets and Evie walked in. " We live in a dangerous world Eden, we don't want to get anyone involved if we don't have to, " Mira reasons softly leaning into Eden as a show of comfort.
" I know but it no fair. Why us out of gazillion people, why we have to deal with this, I just wan my family back is that too much to ask, " Eden cries and both Pumpkin and Mira were thrown for a loop. Eden was a strong child and she persevered through the struggles of the curse. It was hard to see her finally break down.
" It's alright to be scared kiddo, we all are, but do you want to know something about your Auntie? " Brook asks for once stepping ™out of her comfort zone. The girl in front of her nods, " Aunt Georgie is not one to give up especially for the things she loves the most. Which unsurprisingly is us. They won't give up until everyone is safe. " Brook says with the utmost confidence and Eden smiles.
" I know, but they always hurt one way or another. What if they don't make it? " Eden voices both her's and the pets biggest fear. All four pause when the talkie on Pumpkin's collar went off.
" Pumpkin we got Eagen away from the house, but I need you to track him for a little while make sure he doesn't loop back around, just don't make yourself known pup, " Georgie calls through it and Pumpkin nods
" I'm on it Georgie, " Pumpkin barks and Eden quickly translates it as Pumpkin glances at her sister's before taking off down the hall and outside the door.
" Auntie George, are you two ok? Eden asks through Mira's walkie. There was a pause and probably a silent conversation Eden often saw her Aunts have, and then an answer.
" We're fine Mesu, we'll be in a moment ok, Love, " Drea says and Eden nods already hearing the door opening and Eden runs out and over to her aunts. " See Mesu, we are totally fine, " Drea murmurs, picking Eden up, but Eden could see her favoring her right leg.
" Okay now what in the heck was that, " Evie asks and once again Eden sees her Aunts share a silent conversation.
" Eden why don't you and the triplets go play again, " Georgie says and Eden knew that tone meant it wasn't a question. She nods slowly before leading the triplets back to her room reluctantly.

The calm air that was just in the room vanished, replaced by the tense air that usually lingered. " I'm guessing you don't know anything. I'm surprised I honestly thought Lola would tell all of you. Quick and easy explanation is that everyone here hates me for various reasons, " Georgie starts as Evie looks at her in confusion.
"It can't be that bad. You're one of the nicest people I know." Evie says Georgie just grimaces, she wasn't that person anymore the curse had hardened her and a lot of people feared her now. It had been awhile since anyone except Drea and Olive had told her how nice she was. Everyone else thought of her as if she betrayed them in some sort of way.
"Trust me it's bad, Georgie has been a target for quite a few people and it's not over yet. That's how she injured her arm. Someone decided it was a good idea to crash our car again. He's taken care of for now, but there's another one wanting us." Drea murmurs neither mention the death date. There was no need to get Evie involved; she had three children, no unnecessary risks.
" What the heck did you get into, and why is Eden living with you. You don't like kids last time I checked, " Evie asks and Georgie sighs.
" Special circumstances, Eden is the daughter of 828 passenger Ben Stone and his late wife Grace. I was close to Grace before she passed away and she made me promise when Eden was born that I would care for her if anything. Low and behold something did happen, I've had her for two years now, and she has absolutely changed my life. This whole frickin curse has changed my life," Georgie says looking at Drea who had to sit down on a chair Drea never did without a reminder increasing Georgie's worriedness.
" Why wouldn't you tell us about her, " Evie asks and Drea thankfully steps in for Georgie.
" We couldn't risk anyone knowing about her. Right now only a few passengers know about her and the less people that do the better. It's a dangerous world for us who support the passengers," Drea replies although her mind wasn't fully there. Georgie could see the slight tilt of her head to the nearest window. She was listening out for trouble no doubt. She always was, they were very loyal guards.
"Anyways enough about us, congrats on the triplets, " Georgie says not wanting to explain anymore about what they were doing in fear of the calling coming upon the quints and the rest of their family.
" Thanks I'm sorry I didn't tell you about them until they were two and you heard it from Tessa not me, " Evie says and Georgie waved her hand in dismissal.
" It's probably better that you didn't two years ago. I was dealing with a two year old Eden by myself," Georgie says breezily. It was the truth, but she forgot Eden had ended up aging a year when she was three probably so she wouldn't need constant attention.
" That doesn't add up… " Evie starts and Georgie huffs.
" Trust us we know, we just go with the flow around here. No matter what that may be, " Drea rolls her eyes, still keeping an ear to the nearest window. The targets were horrible at timing so both she and Georgie were on edge and really just wanted Evie to leave at this point. A phone rings startlingly and Drea smiles looking at her phone. " It's TJ he might have something for us to work with, "
" Well answer it we need any leads we can get, " Georgie told her counterpart and Drea nodded while answering the phone. The blunette sighs and Georgie can't help, but frown she knew her friend wanted to hang out, but there would be plenty of time to do so after the curse was over. Only a little longer Georgie reminded herself.
" Hey listen, I can't promise you anything, but after everything is said and done we will spend a whole day together. We could even spend a whole weekend together like old times, but right now I have work to do, " Georgie says for once initiating a hug between the two.
Evie nods in understanding, " I understand this is very important to you and I know how driven you can get. Just promise me you'll stay safe and make it out of this alive, " Evie says and Georgie panics she couldn't promise that. Not with her and Drea having the death date.
She takes in a deep inaudible breath, moves her arms slightly and nods, " I promise, " she replies, she had gotten a lot better at lying over the years and now it was almost nothing to do so, but it still hurt to do it. She could have never been undercover like Drea.
" Alright then, I'll see you later and good luck with the lead, " Evie smiles before going to the playroom where her kids were. Georgie immediately sighs in relief looking at Drea and quickly joining the facetime between her and TJ.
She hoped on everything that this curse would be broken…
