You chuckled as Adora pushed you onto the ground, her hands grasping your shoulders tightly

You had finished training earlier today and while the others went to grab dinner you, Adora and Catra had decided to stay in the locker room instead

Catra was laughing so hard she had doubled over with her hands over her stomach "Dorks"

You scoffed. Your angry facade began to slip away when a small smile crept itself over your lips "Ouch, my ego" you pushed Adora away and got up "I'm so hurt I might faint! Someone come save me" you put a hand over your forehead dramatically and laughed

These two...they were the only thing that has kept you going for so long

In the Horde nothing else other than anger was allowed

No sadness...

No fear...

No shock...

No happiness...

No love...

Nothing except anger

Everything else was looked down upon and images were everything in the Horde. One wrong move, one slip up, and you were done for

Everything you had been working for, gone

And yet, here with these two idiots...it felt right somehow. It was the only time you didn't care who saw the little affectionate touches, the exchanged smiles and laughter, the small comfort of a hand over yours on a bad day

"I'm officially leaving you two" Catra mumbled, her grin spreading wider

"Nah you wouldn't" Adora punched her shoulders "You love us too much don't you, kitten?"

She blushed and pushed her away "Shut up!"

You snored and yelled, putting your hands over your mouth "Gay!"

You received a glare from Catra but she suddenly decided to be playful and sat next to you on the bench and lightly pushed your shoulder "Sais who?"

"Sais me, darling" you put your tongue out only to be pushed down by Catra. You fell to the ground with a quiet thud. Oh you were up for revenge "Hey there's a mouse behind you!"

Catra yelled and stood up, her tail shooting up while her claws extended, her eyes wide and on edge "Where?!"

You and Adora laughed. This never got old

"Haha very funny" Catra deadpanned and crossed her arms

You watched as she leaned against the lockers "This was for pushing me off the bench you bitch"

"Haha we get it" She looked away. You couldn't quite read her expression but it looked a bit like...hurt?

Adora stepped closer to her and put a hand over her shoulder "Hey we're sorry ok? What's wrong? Are you mad?"

"No..."

With a frown you stood up and went to stand next to her. You felt something pierce your chest, an emotion you couldn't quite put a name on as you examined her expression

One thing you knew tho. You couldn't stand seeing her like this, much less because of you

"Look im-" You stopped once you saw the slow smirk appearing on her face "Oh no"

Then you were quickly thrown against the ground with Catra pinning both of your hands down

You blushed slightly and struggled against her grip

Not now heart!

"What was that for?! And why do I keep getting thrown to the ground" you raised your voice at the last part and trew your head on the ground in defeat

"And get off me!"

"Nope"

"Catra" you glared

"What?" She asked innocently, her smirk becoming even more evident. Her mismatched eyes seemed to sparkle even in the dim lighting as her tail brushed back and forth, almost like a ghost against your thigh

"Stop it"

"Make me"

You groaned and looked at Adora for help. She narrowed her eyes like when she thought about doing something stupid, her stunning smile turning into a grin

Your eyes widened even before she acted and jumped over you two. Then yall fell to the ground, the chuckles and laughter echoing around the room but you had long learned how to keep them quiet enough so no one else could hear beneath the doorway

It was like second nature by this point

"What do you say we sneak into the kitchen and steal some ration bars for ourselves since we didn't have dinner?"

"That's a bad idea" Adora mumbled while looking at the ceiling. She then turned to you "I'm in"

"Same here. When had I said no to anything like that?"

"Great" you shot up "Let's go before I starve to death then"

(So...time skip)

You were on the platform, way higher than you would have liked

You loved hights ever since you were a child, they never scared you, but this...

This was just creepy

You dusted your hands after you had finished your dinner "Maybe we should go back, bedtime is coming up soon"

Catra sighed "Why does Shadow Weaver make us go to sleep at 10pm?" Her tone had a slight hint of anger in it

Adora put a hand over Catra's and smiled gently "You know we can't change anything here"

"Not yet" She whispered, her gaze wandering at the view in front of her "But one day, we will rule Etheria once and for all"

You sniffed and smirked "Together"

"Together" The other two replied and you leaned against the railing, a warm feeling settling in your chest

(During the night)

You tossed and turned, your forehead creasing with sweat

You kept having the same dreams for the past week ever since you turned 17

It was this place...you could hear people laughing and chattering, forks and what not clinging while the people talked with one another

Then there you stood at the front dressed in a deep blue dress. Someone tapped your shoulder and you turned around, a childish grin forming on your lips

"Mom!"

That's when the room started to go dark, the shadows creeping up into the walls and dimming the light trough. There were sudden screams of pain and shock after you heard a loud bang on the wall

It seems like it had been bombed at...

You could only feel a hand over yours, tugging you towards the exit

You turned to look around only to see your mother fighting against the Horde soldiers just before the shadows consumed the room entirely

Then in the darkness emerged a blue light. It felt warm against your skin, tugging you closer

Your skin itched. You wanted to touch it, badly. It was like it was humming with unleashed power, begging for someone to come by and unleash it

Like it had been repressed for so long...

You outstretched your hand to touch it but as soon as you got close enough you jolted awake

You looked around in a panic, almost unnoticeable pants escaping your lips

You wiped the sweat off your forehead and glanced over at Catra and Adora. You had taken the top bunk while Catra was curled up in Adora's feet

You jumped down and landed softly on your feet. Thank god you had asked Catra for sneaking out advices before. They come in handy a lot

You slipped out the door and ran trough the halls until you reached a dead end. You looked up at the the vents before bending your legs, preparing to jump

"Y/n" you froze at the familiar voice and gulped, slowly relaxing your stance and turned around to face Shadow Weaver "Follow me"

You took a deep breath in and simply nodded. You did as instructed and mentally prepared for the pain than was about to come
