Carmen's POV-

I run up the hill, the dew of the night making me slide. I hear someone say something when I get up there. "Carmen!" I hear someone say.

Amelia! She comes running toward me and hugs me. "How did you come back?" I ask her.

"I left the place," she says. I nod even though I already knew that. Raphael comes to me after Amelia leaves me to talk to Chiron.

"Hey," he says quietly.

"Hey," I say. We stand there awkwardly until Hunter comes.

"Well, I'm missin' out on the party, huh?" he says.

I laugh. "Yeah you are," I tell him. "But you're fashionably late."

He smiles at me. Raphael winks and leaves. I glare at him. "Talk to him!" he says.

"No thanks," I say.

"No what?" Hunter asks me.

I sigh. Seriously Raphael. "It's nothing," I tell him. "Just Raphael being butt."

He laughs. I don't know how he can still talk to me when I rejected him. "He is always a butt," Hunter says.

"Yeah, he is," I tell him. I notice a girl holding onto two small children. A women comes running towards them. She grabs onto the children and hugs them. Two men that look alike come strolling toward us.

"Katie, I think they are OK," one man says even though he looks relieved to see the children.

"I know, Travis," the woman, Katie, says. Katie let's go of her kids and walked toward us. "You must be Carmen."

I nod. "Your dad has told me a lot about you," she says.

"Really?" I ask her.

"Yes," she tells me. I nod and she walks away. The girl with the two children walk over to me.

"Hi. I'm Alyx Stoll," the older girl says. "And these two are the twins, Tabythia(pronounced like Tabitha) and Bryttni."

I bend down and say," They are so cute!"

The twins back away behind Alyx. "Sorry, they are a little shy at times," Alyx says.

I stand up and nod. "My brother and I are twins," I tell her.

"Cool!" she says as one of the twins, I'm guessing Bryttni, yelling, "Get your sweaty hands off of me!"

"Tabythia, you know Bryttni doesn't like when you place your sweaty hands on her," Alyx says sternly. I laugh, knowing that they will go through rough patches but will still love each other.

"Hannah!" Declan yells and runs toward her.

"Jeremiah!"Gia says, surprised to see him here and walking toward her.

I smile. Declan, shy guy, actually running toward Hannah. Hannah stumbles and nearly falls but Declan catches her. He picks her up bridal style and carries her down Half-Blood Hill.

"Can you take me to the infirmary?" I hear Hannah ask him.

"Sure," he says, "anything for you."

Soon, I see a creature with two people on it with a cyclops following after it. Dad walks over to me and smiles. "Tyson," Dad says and walks over to the cyclops.

"Brother!" Tyson says and hugs Dad. Dad grunts in response. Gia has her arm around Jeremiah's shoulders as they walk to the infirmary.

"Anyone else hurt?" Hunter asks behind me. Everyone shakes their heads and I walk down Half-Blood Hill.

"What exactly did James says?" Chiron asks Amelia, Alyx, Gia, and Hannah.

Hannah takes a shuddering breath and tells what all happened that night. I take her cold hand and hold it in mine. She smiles sadly at me. The gash on her forehead hasn't healed yet, even though it has been two days. "So the Monster could attack any time?" Chiron asks. Gia nods.

"Then, we need to call our brethren at Camp Jupiter and train as hard as we can," Chiron says, determination flooding his face. Everyone nods.

"Does that mean Jeremiah and I have to go back to Camp Jupiter?" Gia asks.

"Yes," Chiron says. "You better gather everyone there and tell them about this as soon as possible."

"OK. We will leave tonight," Gia says.

"Should my family stay here to fight?" Alyx asks.

Chiron nods. "If the Monster does attack soon, come on Pegasi and Hannibal," I say grimly. "And come quick."

Gia gives a firm nod. "Well, you guys better train," Chiron says.

"Good idea," Amelia says. We all stand up and leave the Big House.

"Let's play volleyball," I say. "Girls against guys."

"Oh yeah," Amelia says. I run off and get Declan, Jeremiah, and Hunter. Amelia and the other girls get Raphael. We bring them to the volleyball courts.

"We brought you guys here today to play and epic game of volleyball," I say dramatically. "Boys against girls."

Hunter rolls his eyes. "Again? Anyways, boys will win," he says.

"No," Gia says. "We are going to win. We did in fact win the basketball game."

I laugh and the other girls nod. We walk over to one side while the boys go to the other side. "We need a volleyball!" I yell. Hunters starts running and I run after him.

"I'm going to beat you!" I tell him. I pass him and he laughs. I feel hands wrap around my stomach and I scream.

"Calm down," he whispers in my ear. He picks me up and starts sprinting to get the volleyball. I hit his arms and he starts laughing harder.

"Why are you laughing?" I ask him.

"Because I won't let go," he says, "ever."

I blush and say, "Well, let me go now so I can get the volleyball first."

"No," he says. "You can grab it while I hold you."

"No thanks," I say and try to get away from him. He holds on tighter until I grab the volleyball.

"Fine, you can hold me," I grumble. I look up at his face and he smiles. He flies us back to the volleyball court. I walk to my side of the court and the girls, except Alyx, are giving me faces.

"Hannah, will you be able to play?" Declan asks her, concern showing on his face.

"I'm fine," she says and blushes. I'll have to ask her on that because she said that she didn't like him. I stand in the front and Alyx serves the ball. Hunter hits it back and I hit it upwards. Hannah jumps and spikes it. The ball lands right in between Declan and Jeremiah.

"Haha! In your face, boys!" Hannah says. Us girls laugh while Raphael glares at us.

"Let's do nukem," Amelia says suddenly.

"What's that?" Alyx asks.

Amelia sighs. "At my mortal school, we do it all the time. So we are on teams of course. You use a volleyball to either catch and throw or set the ball like in volleyball. So, if I throw it and it lands right by Hunter, he is out. He goes to the side and if one of our team gets out, Hunter comes back in. One of us will win when the other team is out," Amelia explains.

Alyx nods. My team switches positions and Gia, Hannah, and I are in the back. I give a thumbs up to them and they return it. I throw the ball over the net and Jeremiah catches it. He throws it back and it hits Gia right on the head. "I'm so sorry!" Jeremiah says.

Gia walks over to the side and yells, "Avenge me girls!"

"Will do!" Alyx says. Hunter serves the ball and Hannah catches it. She throws it and nearly falls on her face.

"Oops," she says. "Threw too hard."

Declan laughs as Raphael catches the ball. He throws it over and I dive to catch it. I slide in the sand, right on top of the ball. "Crud, that hurt," I say and get up.

I walk over to the side, next to Gia. "Come on, girls!" I yell at Hannah, Alyx, and Amelia. Hannah smiles as she throws the ball over to the guys. Jeremiah tries to catch it, but fails badly. He falls and the ball bounces off his butt.

"Ow!" he yells. Gia laughs. He gets up and glares at her. He walks to the side and Alyx serves the ball. Hunter and Raphael start laughing at us.

"Why are you laughing?" I yell at them.

"Nothing!" Raphael yells back. I give Gia a look and she rolls her eyes. The ball hits the net after Alyx threw it. "Oh my gods," I say as Alyx walks over to us.

"Sorry," she says. Hannah stays in the back as Amelia stands in the front. Jeremiah comes back in and serves the ball. Hannah tries to catch it but it goes through her hands.

I face palm myself. Hannah comes over to us. "Come on, Amelia!" I yell.

We all cheer for her as Hunter throws the ball behind Amelia. She falls backward, trying to catch it. She catches it!

"Go Amelia!" I yell as she stays laying on the ground. She throws the ball while laying down and it makes it over the net.

Amelia quickly stands up while Raphael catches the ball. He throws it to Amelia's right and she dives the catch it. She slides in the sand, right in front of the ball. "Yes!" Hunter yells. "We won!"

The boys high-five and come over to us.

"Who's the losers, huh?" Declan asks.

"The girls!" the other boys reply.

"Whatever," I tell them. I notice Chiron galloping toward us.

"Carmen, Amelia, Hunter, and Raphael," he says, "I need to see you now."

We look at each other and nod. He turns around and gallops away. We walk, following him. He brings us to the Big House and we walk into a room with a TV.

"What happened?" I ask.

"Look at the TV," he says while pointing. I look at the TV and see the headline: ISIS BOMBS NYC.

"Isis bombs New York City, near Long Island Sound," the blonde newscaster says.

I look at Chiron, confused. "It's not ISIS," he says, "it's the Monster. He has finally attacked."
