Carmen's POV-

I slice my sword through the air at Hannah. She blocks it. "Very good," I tell her. "Getting better."

She nods, sweat rolling down her face. Her hair is in the regular bun with her signature grey headband. "Do you want to get something to drink right now?" I ask her.

"Sure," she says and walks towards the bench.

She got claimed by Hecate a few days ago. Her siblings were very excited. Especially her brother, Karlos Marks.

"You're going down!" I hear Hunter yell to Raphael.

I laugh as Hannah comes back to me. "I'm ready to fight," she says, her eyes twinkling.

She strikes at me but I block it. I swing my foot behind her knees but it hits nothing but solid air. What? I can see her legs there. Why didn't I hit it? I swing my left leg again but still hit nothing. I feel something hit my legs and I fall down on my face. "Ugh," I say. "Hannah? Was that you?"

"Yeah," she says. "I used the Mist."

I nod and flip my body. Hannah sticks her hand out and I take it. She pulls me up and I dust myself off. "Nice job," I tell her.

She smiles and says, "Thanks."

"Carmen," I hear a males voice say. I turn around and see Chiron. "I think I have some news on The Monster."

The Monster is what we are calling the person who wanted to steal Ares Staff of War. I walk to him and he says, "Come to the Big House with me."

I nod and follow him. He leads me to the porch where nobody is.

"The monster is a titan," Chiron says. "He's trying to get out of Tartarus."

I stare at him with my mouth open. "Really?" I ask after a few minutes.

"Yes. He is almost succeeding at getting out of there. Hades' forces are trying to push him down, but its not working," Chiron says.

"Great," I mutter.

"Well, go back to training," Chiron tells me.

I walk back to the fighting arena and see Sebastian holding Emma's hand. Again. That is like the fiftieth time today. "Such a romantic," I whisper to him as I walk back to Hannah.

He glares at me. I smirk back. I tell Hannah, "Man, Seb. He is such a romantic boy."

Hannah blushs slightly. "You like him?" I ask her.

She nods a little. "My brother? My ugly brother?" I ask her.

She nods again. "And he's not ugly," she says quietly.

I smile a little. I look behind me at the entrance to Camp and see a boy standing there. Hannah and I walk to him and I ask, "Did you just come here?"

He nods. A satyr appears from the border. "Finally made it," the satyr says breathlessly.

"Come on guys," I say and lead them to the Big House. "Chiron!"

"Yes?" Chiron asks, back in his wheelchair form.

"New camper," I tell him.

"Another one?" he asks.

"Yeah," I say and point to the boy.

"My names Declan Prescott," the boy says quietly.

"Ah, Declan," Chiron says. "Follow me."

Chiron wheels off with Declan following.

"Thanks, Clove for bringing him here," I say to the satyr.

"No problem!" he says and trots off.

Hannah and I walk back to the fighting arena. "Oh we should do the rock climbing!" Hannah says.

"Let's fight a little more and then we can climb," I tell her.

She nods. Hannah runs ahead while I walk slowly. I look around and I see Hunter practicing on a dummy. He looks at me and winks. I blush and walk to Hannah. I don't see her. "Hannah?" I ask.

I feel something collide with my back. I fall down on my face again. "Hannah?" I ask again.

I hear laughing behind me. I flip my body and see Hannah standing there holding my sword. "Hannah!" I say.

"Sorry! I just had to do that!" she says.

She always pranks me. Always. "Come on, let's go rock climbing," I tell her.

She smiles and sprints there. When I get there, Hannah says," You wanna race?"

I nod. We strap on harness and and helmet.

"Hey Hunter, Sebastian! Come here!" I yell. They run over to us, panting.

"What?" Seb snaps.

"Woah, calm there tiger! Anyway, can you guys be our belayers?" I ask.

"Sure," Hunter says, grabbing the rope attached to my harness while Sebastian does the same for Hannah. She blushes when he checks to make sure the harness is on right. Everyone that is the belayer has to check if the harness is on right.

"Ready, set, go!" Hunter says.

Hannah and I start climbing. Lava spills down toward me so I quickly move out of the way. I look to my right and see Hannah speeding up. Lava comes down at her and she jumps to the side and reached out for a handhold. She doesn't grab the handhold so she falls down. I speed all the way up and press the buzzer. "Yes! I won!" I say.

I go down and Hannah fist bumps me. "Good job," she says.

"Thanks," I tell her.

She nods. "Great job, Carmen," Hunter whispers in my ear.

I blush and say thanks. "Carmen," Sebastian says after Hunter and Hannah leaves.

"What?" I ask him.

"You like him?" he asks me.

"No! Maybe, yeah. I do," I say, knowing that he can see through my lies.

He smirks. "He likes you too," he says.

"Really?" I ask excitedly.

He nods. I start running to go find Hannah and Emma and Natasha. I stop running after I realize I still like Raphael. Great.
