Omega

Klance
Back on Earth/Omegaverse

Keith yawned, shuffling beside a chipper Lance and holding his hand.

"Mamá!" Lance squeaked, waving with his unoccupied hand. "Mamá, Keet says he's hungry!"

Lance's mother's both giggled, but his mamá came over and kissed both their cheeks. "I'll go make some snacks, darling."

Lance giggled, then tugged Keith's hand. "Come on, Keet. Mamá is makin us some food."

Keith blinked over at Lance, then shuffled after him into the kitchen. Lance helped Keith onto a chair and his mamá helped him up into the chair beside Keith. Lance happily nuzzled Keith, then beamed up to his mamá. "Gracias Mamá!"

"De nada, cariño." She kissed his hair, then pet Keith's. "Your father is coming to pick you up, soon, Keith."

The little boy nodded, keeping a hold on Lance's hand. Lance picked up one of the oatmeal cookies and held it out to Keith. "Mamá remembers your favorite."

Keith took the cookie and nibbled at it. Lance giggled as Keith looked up at him. "There's no milk or anything in it. Promise." Lance nuzzled Keith's cheek.

Keith smiled and took a bigger bite.

~

Keith clung to his father once he arrived, nestling into him and waving at his older brother. Shiro grinned and waved up at him.

"Thanks for watching him for the night. It's been difficult."

Mamá hummed, patting Keith's back. "I understand. My father went through the same thing. Poor Keith won't get to know his mother, though."

Keith's father sighed and nodded. "Yeah... Thanks again." He turned to leave, but then Keith whined abd wiggled. "What, buddy?"

"Down..." He groaned, stretching back. He was set down and he scampered over to Lance.

Lance squeaked and jumped to his feet. Keith quickly wrapped his chubby little arms around Lance and the other boy giggled. "Bye-bye, Keet."

~

Keith was never told what happened to his mother. He only knew he wasn't going to see her for a long time.

But, he ended up basically growing up with Lance.

Lance was an early bloomer, and everyone was surprised. He was an Alpha, but with omega personality traits. For example, he was kind and motherly with his siblings and he enjoyed spa time with his mamá and face masks. However, he was very Alpha-like. He loved competition, loved to show off and flirted with nearly every omega and beta. He was only thirteen-years-old, and Alphas typically bloomed at fifteen.

At fifteen, Keith's secondary gender still hadn't revealed itself. It typically went omega, beta, then alpha. Omega at twelve-thirteen, beta thirteen-fourteen, and alpha at fifteen.

Keith was sure he's going to be an alpha. His brother and father were alphas and his mother was a beta. There was a very slim chance he was going to be an omega.

"Aren't you embarrassed, Keith?" His small friend, Pidge, asked, poking at her tray. "You're secondary gender hasn't come out yet."

Keith shrugged. "Could just mean I'm an alpha. I'm not sixteen, yet."

The omega snorted, waving her fork. "What if you're an omega?"

"I highly doubt that, Pidge. It's too late, and no one in my family generations back have been omegas." Keith hummed, then took a bite of his food. "By the way, have you seen Lance?"

Pidge blinked, then nodded. "Yeah. He was talking to your brother, earlier."

"The brother you got the hots for?"

"Did you have another brother I don't know about?"

Keith chuckled and shook his head. "No. Thanks, though." Pidge just shrugged.

~

Lance walked beside Keith, arm tossed around the shorter's shoulder as he chowed down on his burger.

Keith groaned. "Your stupid Alpha pheromones are so grossly overwhelming."

The alpha snickered and rubbed his cheek against Keith's. "You know you love it."

The slightly older teen huffed. "Not really. Stop, I'm going to smell like you!" Keith pushed against Lance as the alpha rubbed against him. Keith couldn't help but laugh.

"Good, I'm glad!" Lance teased, squeezing Keith closer with both of his arms. "I want everyone to know you're my best friend and no one else's!"

Keith dropped and ducked, then rushed forward. Lance yelped, off balance. "Hey!" He whined, grabbing out to Keith. "I wasn't done!"

The shorter stuck out his tongue, rather childishly. "Good." He smirked, folding his arms over his chest. Lance pouted, trotting over to walk side-by-side with Keith again.

Lance leaned over and sniffed Keith. "Dude, you smell funky."

"That's you."

"No, no." Lance shook his head, then tapped his nose. "I know what's me and what's not. That funky smell isn't me. Actually, it smells really good."

Keith huffed, then smirked. "Maybe my alpha is finally coming out."

Lance snickered. "Maybe. Can't wait to flirt with cute little omegas with you. "Anyway, we should hurry. Mom said she has a present for me and Mamá."

~

Keith panted and whined, squirming between his sheets as he tried kicking them off.

It was so hot.

Keith stood, trembling. He managed to tug off his shirt, then stumbled out of the room. Keith panted, head spinning.

"Keith...? Keith?" Two hands cupped his cheeks. Dad was out on a business trip, so this must be Shiro. "Hey, look at me." Shiro crooned. Shiro was such a gentle Alpha. Keith blinked rapidly as he looked up at his brother. "Come on. Let's get you back to your room."

Keith nodded, leaning his weight on his brother as Shiro led him back to his room.

~

Shiro took sheets out of the linen closest and set them on Keith's bed before leaving. Keith bustled around, unfolding and maneuvering the sheets. He wasn't even thinking about it. Once he was done, Keith buried himself in the nest. He nestled into the sheets, panting and whimpering. His body ached and yearned for something.

~

Lance pouted, rapping the tips of his fingers against the table. "Man, Keith isn't here. This blows."

Pidge huffed and kicked his shin from under the table. "Neither is Shiro. Maybe they're just sick. Shiro said he wasn't feeling good yesterday."

The alpha sighed and nodded, then grinned as a familiar beta sat beside him. "Hunky-buns!" Lance cried gleefully, throwing his arms around the large beta. "I missed you!"

Hunk chuckled. "I was only out for a day. Hey, where's Keith? He's always with you."

Lance returned to pouting abd slumped onto the table. "He's gone. He left me all on my lonesome."

Pidge rolled her eyes. "Keith and Shiro are probably just sick. I'm texting Shiro now." Pidge popped her lollipop, then raised a brow as her phone made a soft ding. "Oh."

The Alpha lifted his head. "What? Is Keith okay?"

The littlest of the group snickered behind her hand, then showed her phone to Hunk. The beta's eyes sparkled and he laughed softly.

"What? What's going on?" Lance sat up, then leaned over to try and peek at the screen. Pidge swipped it away and tucked the phone into her pocket as she stood. "Pidgeroni!" He cried.

Hunk patted his back as Pidge looked back down at Lance. "Keith is experiencing his first heat."

~

After school, Lance called Shiro and asked about Keith. Is he okay? It's not too bad, is it? How bad is it? How long will it last!?

Shiro just chuckled and told Lance to calm down. Lance tried to and asked if he could talk to Keith.

"I'm not sure that'd be a good idea." Shiro muttered, then hummed. "I'll tell him you called, though."

Lance sighed and hung his head. "Okay. Thanks, Shiro."

"You're welcome, Lance. Oh, and do me a favor, will you? There's a little present I wrapped in my locker. I wanted to give it to Allura, but I can't. Will you sneak it into her locker for me?"

The younger alpha bit his lip. "Yeah. I'll make sure to do that first thing tomorrow."

"Thank you, Lance. I'll give you updates on Keith."

"Okay." He hung up and tucked his phone into his back pocket. Lance huffed and carded his fingers through his hair. "Man. Poor Pidge."

~

Lance was absolutely restless and worried. He just wanted to make sure Keith was okay, but he couldn't just go and check on him. For several reasons, too!

1) Protective alpha brother.

2) He's an alpha and could pounce on Keith the moment he catches scent of heat.

3) If he disturbs an omega's nest, they could murder him.

Several very very good reasons that all kept Lance far away. He was glad that Shiro was kind enough to give him quick updates. Shiro was a strange alpha, as Lance was. He was very kind and willing to help others, unlike many alphas. It drew quite a lot of attention from omegas, especially with how well built he was and how tall he held himself. Shiro wasn't controlling, but he was protective. The ideal alpha.

Poor, poor Pidge. If he ever said that go her face, Lance use surely never get to see the light of day ever again.

Lance yelped as he was suddenly flicked on the forehead.

"Stop staring at me, beanpole." Pidge hissed under her breath, then pointed at the blank sheet of paper on his desk. "Write your notes. I'm not letting you copy this time."

Lance whined and pouted at her, nudging her with his foot. "Oh, come on! Please, just this last time!"

"That's what you said the last two times."

"But, Pidge-!"

"McClain!" The teacher shouted, causing the alpha to yelp in surprise. "Quiet!"

"Yes sir!"

~

Lance decided that weekends were boring without Keith to talk to. Shiro said that he had confiscated Keith's phone just in case at the beginning of this whole thing.

Lance sat in the park on a bench, watching his two younger siblings prance around on the playset and in the sand.

"Is that you, Lance?" He heard the sweet, familiar accent.

The alpha tilted his head back, then smiled at Allura. "Well, hello, princess! It's nice to see you."

Allura rolled her eyes, but smiled as she sat beside Lance. "It's lovely to see you, too. Why are you here?"

"Sibling duty. Mom and mamá time this week, and all my older siblings are out of the house."

The beautiful omega laughed. "I remember when I first met them."

Lance grinned. "That was beyond embarrassing." Lance chuckled, then looked down.

Allura hummed and patted Lance's thigh. "Is everything alright?"

"Yeah... I just miss Keith. It's weird without him."

"I understand." Allura pet Lance's unruly hair out of his face. "You really care for him."

Lance smiled softly. "Yeah. Isn't it obvious? I mean, we wouldn't be best friends if I didn't care about him."

Allura giggled. "No, I mean, you care about him." Lance raised a brow, then it clicked. Allura laughed again, Lance's face darkening several shades. "Everyone knows, Lance. We were just waiting for you two to figure it out."

Lance sighed, burying his face in his hands. "I... Guess I do... But what about you and Shiro?"

The omega sighed dreamily, resting her cheek on Lance's shoulder. "I think I'm in love. I found the present you left in my locker for him. It's still hard to believe he's trying to court me of all omegas."

The young alpha hummed, looking back out at his siblings. Again; poor Pidge.

~

"KEITH!" Lance shouted, throwing his arms around the smaller teen.

Keith yelped in surprise. "Lance, what-!?"

Lance nuzzled the omega. "I missed you so much! So, so much!" He squeezed Keith tighter and tighter, until the omega slipped from his grasp.

"Not today, Lance. I'm not in the mood."

The alpha blinked, arms circled in midair. "Huh? Keith?"

Keith shrugged, closing his locker. "I'm just not in a good mood, Lance."

Lance stood straight, tilting his head and furrowing his brows. "Is it me?"

"No."

"Then what is it?" Lance trailed after Keith. "What's wrong?"

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Why?" Another way Lance was different than other Alphas. He asked rather than demanded, like Shiro. "You always talk to me."

Keith huffed and stopped in his tracks. "Can't I just be alone?" Lance flinched at the bite in Keith's tone. "Just leave me alone, Lance." He muttered, then left.

Lance stayed behind, defeated.

~

The next few months were like this. Keith avoided Lance and Lance tried to get Keith to confide in him when Keith wasn't on heat.

Lance was starting to get fed up.

Once school was out for the day, Lance approached Keith at his locker.

Keith groaned and glared up at Lance. "I'm serious, Lance."

"So am I." Lance hooked his thumbs in the pockets of his jeans. "Tell me why you won't talk to me."

"No." Keith squared his shoulders. "I'm fine. I don't need you right now."

Lance's jaw clenched and his heart throbbed. He swallowed a lump in his throat. "Keith..."

Keith turned to him, slinging his back pack over his shoulder. "Leave me alone."

Lance felt himself snap just as a low growl rumbled in his throat. Keith's eyes widened in surprise and he backed into the lockers. "Damnit, Keith!" Lance slammed his hands on either side of Keith's head, making the omega gasp and flinch back. "Tell me what the fuck is going on! You've been ignoring me for three months and I'm hella tired of it!"

Keith whimpered, lowering his head.

The alpha's eyes widened and he slowly pulled away. He's just practically attacked Keith. "Keith, I-"

The omega bolted the moment he saw an exit, far from Lance. Lance slumped against the lockers and slid down. He sat there until the janitor kicked him out hours later.

~

Lance rested his head on Allura's lap as she raked her fingers over his scalp. They we in the grass in the park, watching Lance's two younger siblings once again. "I really fucked up."

Allura hummed. "It's not your fault, Lance. Keith shouldn't be acting this way towards you."

"But I still shouldn't have attacked him like that!" Lance whined pitifully. "I tried apologizing today, but he steered clear... I can't blame him..."

The omega smiled down at him. "So, what are you going to do?"

Lance sighed. "Give him space. He's just... He was expecting to be an alpha like me."

"My father expected me to be an alpha." Allura mused, rubbing up and down Lance's arm. "You'll figure it out, okay? I know you will."

The alpha hummed. "Thanks, Allura. What about you and Shiro?"

Allura giggled. "He finally asked me out on a date."

Lance smiled. "I'm happy for you. Hey, mind watching them for a few? I gotta call Pidge."

"Oh, sure. Go ahead."

"Thanks." Lance got up and trotted a fair distance away, pulling out his phone. He pulled up his omega friend's number and held the phone up to his ear. Once she answered, Lance sighed. "Allura and Shiro are going on a date."

Pidge paused on the other line. "... Oh."

Lance bit his lip, glancing back at Allura. "Sorry, Pidge, I-"

"Don't apologize." She sighed, leaning back. "What would and alpha like Shiro like in me anyway?"

"Pidge-"

"Hey, I got to go." Pidge breathed deeply. "I'll see you at school."

Lance paused. "Yeah..."

~

Lance offered Keith space, walking the opposite way, sitting with different people during lunch, basically avoiding him. It hurt Lance, but if it made Keith feel better, he'd do it.

But he hadn't planned on giving space for a whole year. He was almost seventeen and Keith just turned seventeen. Allura and Shiro were graduated and Pidge graduated early, but still hung out with him and Hunk, and occationally Keith.

Hunk would try and talk to Keith, but Keith wouldn't go near Lance. Lance had given up on Keith ever talking to him six months in and started dating other omegas.

Currently, he was with a pretty little omega named Plaxum. She had sea-blue eyes and platinum blonde hair. She was feisty, but sweet, unlike his last girlfriend, Nyma.

Lance treated Plaxum like his queen. He gave her presents and never steered her wrong. He was completely hers.

Except for his whole heart.

Lance loved her but he still ached whenever he saw Keith with someone else. Lance was getting tired of Keith not talking to him, but he forced himself to be patient and focus on his girlfriend.

Lance had his arm over Plaxum's shoulders as she talked to her friends. Lance listened, answering questions when he was asked. He'd smile and nuzzle Plaxum's cheek when she'd kiss his, bringing her to squeak and giggle.

Lance looked up, feeling a gaze on him. His eyes caught Keith's. He could see the omega tense from the other side of the room.

"Are you okay?" Lance jumped, yanked from his trance as he looked back down at Plaxum. "Is something wrong?"

The alpha smiled and kissed her nose. "Everything's perfect. Sorry, I zoned out was all."

Plaxum smiled brightly up at him. "Okay."

~

Keith groaned, curling up on Pidge's bed. "I hate everything." He groaned, tightly clutching a pillow. "Why? Why does he have to be such an idiot?"

Pidge raised a brow, but didn't look up from her laptop. "Do remember that you're the reason you two aren't talking anymore. He's the one who's giving you space so you can come to him when you're ready."

Keith glared at her wall. "But does he have to date other omegas? Nyma totally cheated on him and I just know that Plaxum will, too."

The younger omega snorted and adjusted her glasses. "I already told you why he's dating. You've made him believe he'll never have a chance with you, so he's trying to get over you by being with other people."

"Right..." Keith curled his fingers into the pillow. "I hate being an omega... Everyone looks down on me because they were expecting me to be an alpha. No one else is my family was an omega."

Pidge sighed, closing her laptop. "Keith... Do you think that if you weren't an omega, this whole situation with Lance would have never existed?"

"Yes!" Keith tossed his arms up, the pillow with them. He sat up and looked over at her. Keith observed her expression, then looked down. "It would. Lance and I could still hang out like we did and tease each other and..."

Silence filled the room until Pidge climbed onto the bed with Keith. "Keith... Lance loves you. He's loved you for a long time... He just thinks you hate him. Lance's hates himself for scaring you and has been wanting to go back and fix it, but you're making everything so difficult for him." Pidge opened her arms and Keith shuffled over to nuzzle into her. Pidge could be rather motherly at times. "Just... Talk to him."

Keith nodded, then both looked up when there was a knock at her door.

Pidge gulped and shrunk away as Keith got off the bed.

"Ready to go?" Shiro asked and Keith nodded. He glanced around Keith and gave Pidge a short wave and a soft smile. "See you around, Katie." The little omega just nodded and grabbed her lap top. Shiro blinked, a little confused, then followed Keith out.

Pidge bit her lip, keeping back thick tears. "Stupid, stupid..."

~

"Any flower could never compare to your beauty." Lance wrapped an arm round Plaxum's slim waist and held up a bouquet of white and red tulips in front of her.

"Lance!" Plaxum squeaked as he kissed her shoulder. She giggled and took the bouquet. "I love it! They're so pretty!" Plaxum buried her nose in the petals and breathed in. "Oh, they smell wonderful."

Lance smiled and kissed her cheek. "Your favorite."

Keith fidgetted as he watched the two. He bit his lip, then whined as he was nudged by Hunk. "Go, Keith." Hunk ushered as well as Shay. Shay smiled encouragingly.

The omega sucked in a deep breath and slowly approached.

Plaxum twisted around in Lance's arms and kissed him sweetly on his lips. Keith nearly turned and ran right there, his heart cracking painfully. "I'm leaving early today, but I'll make sure to put these on display once I get home! I love them so much."

Lance's smile grew and Keith's stomach twisted. "I'm glad. Love you." He kissed her.

"Love you, too. I'll call you when I get home." She whispered with another kiss, then left, giggling with her friends. Lance watched after her with adoring eyes and his hands in his pockets.

Keith gulped, stopping just behind the alpha. "Lance..."

Lance went rigid, then turned almost mechanically. "Keith? Is something wrong?"

The omega bit his lip, toying with the ends of his sleeves. "No..."

"Then what is it?" Concern dripped from Lance's soft voice.

"I..." Keith glanced back, only to see Hunk and Shay had abandoned him. He whipped his head back around to look up at Lance. "I wanted to talk."

Lance blinked, then nodded. "Yeah. Okay. Sure. When?"

"N-now?"

"Okay." Lance nodded. "Yeah. Wanna go outside?" Lance guestured down the hallway. Keith just nodded. "Sweet. Okay. Let's go."

It was so horribly awkward as Keith dragged himself after Lance. He didn't even realize they were outside until he was sitting on one of the wooden benches.

"So..." Lance started, rubbing the back of his neck. "What is it you wanted to talk about?"

"Just... I was wondering how things were with you." Not... Exactly what he had planned out with Hunk and Pidge, but it was already out, so... Go with it.

Lance shrugged. "Things are... Pretty much the same. I just... I'm with Plaxum, now."

Keith flinched, then nodded, although Lance wasn't looking at him. "Yeah... You two... Go well together." Keith murmured, tugging at the sleeve of his jacket and nibbling on his bottom lip. His heart hurt to say that, but it was true and he couldn't deny it.

"Yeah." Lance nodded, rubbing his legs. "I guess we do. I really care for her."

Keith's chest tightened. "I noticed..." His lip trembled and he sucked in a deep breath. "I-... I'm sorry... I had expected to be an alpha, and I was just... I was angry that I'm an omega instead and I... I took that out on you and hurt you... You had every right to be upset with me. Don't feel guilty like I know you did about yelling at me. That was all my fault. I'm sorry."

Lance looked over at Keith. "It's okay... You don't have to apologize, I-"

"Don't you dare apologize for yelling at me." Keith looked up at Lance. Lance closed his mouth. Keith then ducked his head. "I've just... I've been realizing things lately... My feelings and... I've come to terms with being an omega, I'm just... I just can't tell you."

"Why?" Lance whispered, scooting closer just barely.

Keith swallowed. "I... I could ruin a lot of things... I'm too late... A lot of reasons." Keith stood up. "See you around." He took a step away.

"Wait!" Lance shot to his feet and grabbed Keith hand. Keith froze. "Wait, I... I just..." He couldn't seem to find the words as his grip loosened.

The omega took his hand back, then walked away. He wrapped his arms around himself, head low.

"Keith!" Lance shouted, then Keith ran.

~

Lance picked at his food, Plaxum glancing at him occationally.

"Lance?"

"Hm?"

"Can we go talk?"

"Sure, babe."

Lance and Plaxum stood and left to a rather deserted area of the cafeteria as he held her hand. Once they stopped, he leaned down and kissed her cheek. "What is it?"

Plaxum breathed deeply. "I heard you talked to Keith." Lance nodded in confirmation. "You... You still love him, don't you?"

Lance stiffened and his eyes widened. "Plaxum, it's not-"

"It's okay." She smiled sweetly, squeezing his hand. "I knew from the beginning that he'd always hold a special place in your heart that I might never fill."

"Plax..."

Plaxum stood on her toes and kissed his cheek. "I love you. Thank you for all the time you've given me. Go be with him."

Lance smiled and embraced her. "I don't deserve you." Lance whispered. Plaxum just smiled sadly and shooed him off.

~

Lance looked everywhere for Keith. The omega was no where to be found.

Keith was there earlier, so where was he now? Lance almost tested Shiro, asking if Keith had gone home when he heard his name.

"Lance, what in the world are you doing wandering around after school hours?"

Lance jolted and pivoted sharply. "Keith!"

Keith approached him. "Shouldn't you be headed- Lance!" Keith gasped, dropping the papers he held as Lance threw his arms around him. "Lance!?"

"I love you, okay?" Lance murmured, voice breaking. It felt so good getting this off his chest. "I love you. I've loved you for such a long time and... I hated myself for yelling at you. I never wanted to hurt you."

Slowly, Keith's arms found their way around Lance. "You... Love me?"

Lance tightened his hold on the omega. "I love you so much... So much, Keith... I love you."

A small smile grew on Keith's face as he nuzzled into Lance and held onto him tighter. "I love you, too..."

~

Pidge rested comfortably against Lance's side as she typed away on her laptop. Keith didn't mind as Lance was giving him all his attention and Pidge was a dear friend.

Pidge wasn't doing anything anyway other than leaning on a friend.

"Shiro is planning on proposing to Allura." Pidge whispered into the once-comfortable silence, stopping her computer work. "I heard him telling Matt about it..."

Keith shifted and sat up. "I'm sorry, Pidge..."

She shook her head and weakly smiled. "It's fine... I barely existed to him, anyway. I'm just another, little, undesirable omega."

"That's not true." Lance huffed. "You're plenty of desirable." Keith raised a brow and Lance raised a hand. "Look, Pidge, there are a lot of alphas and betas that love a smart omega, and they certainly love smaller omegas."

"So they can push them around. Fell more in control."

"No, because they're cute and feisty. Most short omegas have more bite that tall omegas. A lot of alphas now days love them and omega that can stand up for themselves." Lance ruffled her hair and took Keith's hand. "Pidge, you're great."

She smiled up at him. "Thanks..."

Lance grinned. "No problem."

"Am I interrupting something?" Shiro asked as he peeked in. Pidge lowered her head, good mood completely gone in seconds.

Lance sighed, then shook his head. "No."

Keith hit his head on Lance's shoulder. How could his brother be so oblivious to Pidge's feelings!?

Shiro hummed. "Alright." He twitched, eyeing Lance. "Katie, can I talk to you?"

The omega hesitated before nodding and setting her laptop aside. She shuffled out of the room, then both her friends on her bed leapt and pressed against the door to hear their conversation.

"So... Did you hear?"

"About?"

"Me planning on proposing to Allura?"

"... Yeah. I heard."

"So, if she says yes... I'd like it if you could attend my wedding."

"O-of course... Why wouldn't I be there?"

"I don't know, just... Thank you, Katie."

"Sure..."

Keith glared through the door as if he were glaring right at Shiro. Lance tried to hold back a snicker as he looked down at his boyfriend.

The two stood in the hall for several, awkward and tense moments. Lance and Keith scuttled back onto the bed once there were footsteps. Pidge shuffled back to the bed and to her laptop and Shiro twitched again at Lance on her bed. His gaze hardened. "Get off her bed." He demanded lowly.

Lance blinked, then leapt to his feet as Shiro glowered.

Keith smiled, deciding he was going to talk to his brother when he got home.

~

"It's clear that you're in love with her."

Shiro blinked, then looked up from his plate. "What?"

Keith huffed. "Pidge. You clearly love Pidge and want to be with her."

"Uhm... No?"

"Dude, your were nearly growling at Lance because he was sitting on her bed." Keith pointed out, waving his fork. Shiro jolted back, as if shocked. "Shiro, you fell for her."

"No, I-"

"Compare Allura and Pidge in your head right now."

Shiro paused, then shook his head and stood. "Keith, don't try to stop me from proposing to Allura. I'm going to do it. Katie- Pidge is just my friend's little sister. What that was was just looking out for her because her brother wasn't there."

Keith rolled his eyes. "Whatever you say."

~

Shiro fidgetted, walking beside Allura through the park. He fiddled with the case in his pocket, then paused.

He thought about what Keith said the night before and sighed. Allura turned to him. Her eyes sparkled and she smiled just slightly.

His heart didn't thump gleefully or nervously. Shiro breathed deeply and took his hand out of his pocket. "Allura... I'm... I'm breaking up with you..."

~

Keith gasped as he woke, curling his fingers into the fabric of his pillow. He whined, squirming.

Warm arms wrapped around him and slightly chapped lips pressed to the sensitive skin just under his jaw. "Hey, I'm right here." Lance murmured, caressing Keith's bare hip.
That's right... Keith shifted to face Lance and wrapped his arms around him. They were sharing heat for the first time.

Their lips met and Keith's fingers tangled in Lance's hair.

Keith sighed as Lance kissed down his throat. "Shiro... Is with Pidge now..."

Lance hummed with a smile. "I heard. Pidge called. She was absolutely excited."

The omega panted and arched into Lance. "I'm glad... She's loved him forever..."

"Yes." Lance raised Keith's hips. "But right now... Let's focus on us." Keith nodded as he was coaxed into a sweet kiss.
