Bet
Klance
Lance grinned, leaning back in his chair. Allura elbowed him, causing him to pout and sit straight up.
Currently, they were on a planet called Arythia. The Arythians were similar to Alteans and humans, but had wings and were much taller. Voltron was trying to form an alliance with the Arythians.
However, Lance was making that feat rather difficult. He'd bicker with Keith, mess with the formal, Altean suit Coran and Allura gave him, and wouldn't sit still. Lance continuously flirted with and winked at the princesses, causing the girls to giggle and the king's brow to twitch.
Allura was getting fed up and was entirely, thoroughly relieved once the dinner was over. "Shiro, will you please keep Lance away from the princesses while I discuss arrangements with King Luthian?" Shiro bowed his head to her and grabbed the back of Lance's collar before he could sneak off. "Thank you."
~
Lance pouted, slouching in the lounge. "Come on, those princesses were totally in love with me!"
"You say everyone is in love with you, Lance." Pidge muttered.
The blue paladin chuckled, and shrugged. "It's true."
Shiro pinched the bridge of his nose. "Keith isn't."
The other three turned their heads to face Shiro. Hunk snorted and raised a brow. "What're you implying, Shiro?"
A grin split across Pidge's face and looked back down at her laptop. "Smooth."
Shiro sat up. "You say everyone is in love with you. From what I know, Keith hates your guts and you hate his."
Lance smirked and sat up. "I beg to differ." He rest his elbow on his knee and point at Shiro. "What Keith has is known as 'tough love.' He loves me, he just doesn't show it."
Hunk and Pidge giggled.
Shiro hummed, a smirk growing on his face. "And you?"
"Naw, I just hate his mullet." Lance shrugged, smug grin still plastered on his face. "But I'm irresistible."
Pidge groaned at the sudden twinkle is Shiro's dark, amused eyes. "Oh no."
Shiro chuckled, folding his arms over his chest. "Prove it."
"What?"
"You heard me." The sly smirk on Shiro's face grew and his eyes narrowed in mischief. "I want you to prove Keith loves you."
Hunk smothered his giggles with his hands while Pidge hung her head and sighed. Lance chuckled, raking his slim fingers through his unkempt hair.
"Easy as quiznak, Shiro. What's in it for me?" Lance raised a brow, leaning closer to their leader.
The black paladin also leaned. "Not much to wage on out in Space." Shiro mused. "How about services. If I win, you're my servant for the entire next day. You win, I'm your servant the entire next day."
"Deadline?"
"One week."
"Damn." Lance hissed, but held out his hand. "You got a done deal, daddy."
"Stop!" All three other paladins groaned, heads rolling over their shoulders or dropping to level their shoulders.
~
Lance hummed to himself, leaning on the doorway to the training deck. He had seen Keith cast confused glances his way, but didn't stop his training for another two levels.
Finally, though, Keith bent. "End training sequence!" Keith shouted, deactivating his bayard as he stomped over to a smirking blue paladin. "What?"
"Nothing." Lance shrugged, pushing himself off the wall. "Just nice watching you train."
Keith raised a brow and crossed his arms. "Really? You've never 'watched me' before."
"I just got curious today, I guess." Lance mused, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "It's a little late for me to be training, but wanna train together tomorrow?" Keith's brow peeked slightly higher. "Spar? One-on-one? Trust simulators?" Lance grinned as he listed off the things they could do. "Maybe just have a friendly chat and hang out."
The red paladin stared up at Lance, long and hard. "You're suggesting this?" Keith quizzed, not believing Lance was doing this out of his own free will. "Allura or Shiro force you into this?"
Lance huffed and snorted. "No. Can't I just try and bond with my team mate?"
Keith's eyes shot wide open and his jaw slacked as his cheeks, neck and the tips of his ears darkened. Lance fought off the urge to smirk smugly. Lance straightened himself up and shrugged again. "Any who, I'm gonna get to bed. You should, too. You're looking a little flushed from all that training." Keith blinked owlishly. "Get some rest before you exhaust yourself, Keith."
The blue paladin waved over his shoulder as he turned. "Goodnight, Keith."
As he hummed and walked away, hands stuffed in his pockets, Lance allowed himself to grin in triumph. Suck it, dad. I'm gonna win the quiznak out of this bet.
~Day one
"Morning, Keith." Lance crooned as he made it way into the dining hall. Keith paused, his fork half-way up to his slack mouth. "Sleep well?"
The red paladin gulped, then nodded.
Allura sighed in relief as she came in. "Thank heavens you two aren't bickering like children."
Lance shrugged. "And we won't for a while, princess. You see, Keith and I here are starting fresh. We're gonna train together today."
Keith became more flustered, needing to set his fork down.
The blue paladin grinned.
The princess smiled and clapped her hands together. "I'm glad! Now, where are the other paladins?"
After breakfast, and after several challenging stares between Shiro and Lance, Lance and Keith made their way to the training deck.
"Alright, why me?" Keith asked as they both stood in battle stance without their bayards. "Why not with Shiro?"
Lance hummed. "Easy. Shiro isn't you." More red crawled up from Keith's neck to his cheeks. "You're training in here everyday, always trying to get better. Also, why not? Do you not want to train with me?"
Keith hurriedly shook his head. "No, that's not it!" Keith shouted. "I just- I was just wondering, is all."
The blue paladin chuckled and lowered himself. "Alright. Let's start training."
~Day two
Another pointless, stupid argument. Shiro and Hunk sighed, Pidge watching intently.
Keith looked ready to strangle Lance.
Lance then paused, glancing over at Shiro. Shiro's brow was raised and a smirk curled his lips. Lance gulped, then breathed in deeply as Keith got ready to shout some more.
"I'm sorry." Lance breathed, shocking Keith still. "You're right, I'm sorry."
Keith blinked, eyes wide.
Pidge bit back squeals and snorts while Hunk and Shiro both expressed their shock.
"Y-you what?"
Lance hung his head and stuffed his hands in his pockets. "You're right. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have picked this fight - it's stupid and pointless. I'm sorry, Keith."
Everyone stared at the blue paladin, silent and still(aside from Pidge whom was trying to keep her laughter suppressed).
Red erupted over Keith's face and he slapped his hands over his mouth. Lance peeked up at Keith and bit his lip to keep from grinning. Keith's face seemed to only darken as he did this, so Lance used it to his advantage. The blue paladin carded his fingers through his hair as he straightened his stance. He switched his gaze over to the wall. "I'll just step back, okay? I'll leave you alone."
The red paladin's face could now rival the color of his lion. Lance turned and left the room, allowing himself a victory fist-pump once the door slid shut behind him. "Point two for Sharp-shooter!"
~Day three
Lance decided to fuck it, today. He wanted to see Keith's reaction to his body. No one on the ship had seen Lance without a shirt(aside from Hunk since they've been best buds for a decade, but that doesn't count).
So, during training with Keith, Lance called a time-out.
"You can't call a time-out in the middle of a battle, Lance." Keith grumbled, shrugging his jacket off.
Lance shrugged as he tossed his jacket. "It's hot." He muttered, grabbing the hem of his shirt. "Besides, this is my only outfit aside from the armor. I don't want to walk around, sticking of sweat everyday." Lance tugged his shirt up and over his head. He looked up as he tossed his shirt over by his jacket.
Keith was red(and not from training), his eyes glued to Lance's built torso.
Quiznak, how Lance wanted to say something like 'like what you see?' or, 'stop raping me with your eyes!' but he knew he had to hold it back to make this bet work.
"So, we gonna get to training?" He asked, jabbing his thumb to point over his shoulder. Keith jumped, eyes flicking up to meet Lance's gaze. He nodded hastily and gulped.
The blue paladin chuckled and carded his fingers through his hair. "Keith, you look flushed." Damn it, man! Control yourself! "Wanna take a break from training?" Nice save, handsome.
Keith shook his head. "N-no. No, I'm good. Just, uhm, just-just find- or stand over there and get in stance." Keith sputtered, forcing himself to turn away.
"Sure." Lance waved his hand and stepped back. Why don't I flex while I'm at it?
~Day four
Lance needed to think of some ways to draw Keith in even more. He's already done the apologize thing. He's already flexed and shown off his muscles and he's already been kind and approached him with a 'date' suggestion(if you can count training for war as a date).
The blue paladin hummed, then snapped his fingers. "Got it!" He shouted, leaping to his feet.
Lance darted down the hallways up to the control room. "Allura!" He shouted, grinning.
Allura yelped and jumped as she was startled, then whipped around to face Lance. "Lance!"
"I need to ask a favor!" Lance grinned.
Sometime later, Allura was landing the castle-ship on a deserted planet. The planet was livable, but the people that had once lived here had evacuated to keep out of Zarkon's grasp hundreds of years previous. The planet was untouched, cold, and peaceful.
The climate was usually cold. Always snowing, but it was enough warmth to keep the people that had once lived here alive and grow crops.
Lance and Keith walked through the rubble and ruins of an ancient city. Lance hummed as he walked just ahead of the red paladin.
"You cold? You left your jacket in the castle." Lance mused as he glanced over his shoulder.
Keith shot him a glare, but he was shaking and hugging himself to keep warm. Lance chuckled and shrugged off his jacket. Keith's violet eyes widened as Lance's warm jacket lay over his shoulders and the hood was pulled over his head.
"There." Lance grinned, rolling up his sleeves. "That should keep you warm." When we get back to the castle, check off 'romantically gave him my jacket.'
Keith bit his lip and nodded, cheeks turning pink - like his nose. "Thank you. But won't you be cold?"
Lance shook his head. "Nah. Well, yeah. It's a little nippy, but I'm all good."
The red paladin nodded, tugging the jacket closer around himself. "Okay."
"Glad I could keep you warm." Lance winked and turned back around to keep walking. "You're important to this team."
Lance waited a moment, listening to his own footsteps in the snow and Keith's silence. He grinned as Keith ran to catch-up and grabbed his arm. Lance came to a stop and tilted his head to look down slightly at Keith.
Keith's cheek were bright red and he bit his lip as his eyes looked down at their feet.
"Yeah?" Lance whispered.
"Nothing." Keith shook his head. "Just... Don't go off without me."
Lance chuckled and smiled. "Wouldn't dream of it."
~Day five
"All." Bang. "Out." Bang. "Of." Bang. "Ideas."
Lance repeatedly and slowly hit his head against his wall as he grumbled to himself. He sighed and sunk into his bed. "Now what? Halfway through the day and I got nothing. Quiznaking nothing."
The blue paladin then shot to his feet, a determined expression on his face. "I can't give up! I refuse to be Shiro's servant, no matter how much I look up to him!"
Lance rummaged through his drawers, looking through all of The artifacts he had collected from the places they've visited. "Gotta be somethin'." Lance muttered, brows furrowed. "Damn... Aha!"
Lance snatched a glowing rock from the bottom of his last drawer. "I knew there was a God who loves me!"
The rock was small and glowed a soft, but vibrant purple. However, despite the glow, the rock was decorated by red and blue swirls, the colors clashing rather than blending the make the color the rock emmetted.
"Perfect!"
Lance shoved the rock in his pocket and dashed out of his room. He skidded to a halt in front of Keith's door and composed himself. Lance cleared his throat, then knocked. "Hey, Keith? It's Lance."
Slight shuffling came from the other side of the door, then the door slid open. Keith looked up at Lance, holding up the jacket. "I didn't give this back, yesterday and I forgot this morning."
Lance shrugged. "Keep it. For now. You seem to like it and I like seeing you in it."
Red flared in Keith's cheeks as he slowly drew the jacket back to his chest. "Thanks."
The blue paladin hummed. "Hey, so,I just happened to be going through my things, and I found something. When I found it, I couldn't help but think of, ya know..." Lance pulled the glowing rock out of his pocket and held it up. "I kinda thought about you."
Keith bit his lip and took it. "Wow... It's-it's pretty... Thank you."
Lance's hand twitched, ready to celebrate this 'well thought out' achievement. Lance grinned, sticking his hands in his jean pockets. "Wanna train together again, today? I'm thinking I can win today."
Keith rolled his eyes, but a small smile curled his lips. "Sure. We'll have to see about that."
~Day six
Lance yawned, stretching his arms up and out. Pidge raised a brow as Lance lay his arm over Keith's shoulders. She snorted, nudging Shiro.
Shiro looked up and huffed, then leaned over to Pidge to whisper something in her ear. She giggled and nodded. "Yeah." She murmured just barely loud enough for the other two to hear.
Keith raised a brow at the other two paladins, but thought nothing of it.
Lance seemed to be in his own little world, arm laced around Keith's shoulders and eyes closed as he hummed.
Slowly, Keith leaned closer and rested his head on Lance's shoulder. Lance's jacket rested on his lap, keeping his legs warm while Lance himself kept the rest of him warm.
Later, Lance found Shiro walking alone.
"How's it going?" Lance mused, hooking his thumbs in his jeans. "Ready to lose tomorrow? I actually think I've already won."
Shiro chuckled, folding his arms over his chest. "Has he admitted to loving you? Has he kissed you?" Lance blinked owlishly. "I'll take that as a no. So, actually, it's undetermined. We won't know until the end of tomorrow who's won."
Lance pouted. "Man, you just gotta make this so hard for me, huh?" Shiro shrugged. "Well, I'll have Keith kissing me all over, telling me he loves me over and over by tomorrow's end. Then you'll be my slave, daddy."
"Servant, and stop calling me that."
"Sure, whatever. Point is," Lance waved his hand, "I'm gonna win." A smug grin spread on his face as he propped his hands on his hips. "Keith loves me."
Shiro hummed and nodded. "Sure." He muttered, then leaned down slightly. "But do you love him?"
Lance jolted at the question, eyes shooting wide open as his body jerked back in surprise. Shiro smiled and waved, taking his leave as Lance stood stock still in the middle of the hallway, arms dangling by his sides.
That night, as everyone was departing and saying their 'goodnight's, Lance and Keith left together. Lance head was down, brows furrowed in thought. Keith sighed as they came to his door. "We're here." He murmured, draping Lance's jacket over his arm. "Are you okay?"
Lance nodded and breathed in deeply. "Yeah... Yeah, I'm fine. Goodnight, Keith." Lance leaned forward and gently pressed his lips to Keith's forehead. Keith bit his lip as he looked up at Lance. "I'll see you tomorrow."
Keith watched as Lance turned away and vanished into his room. "Goodnight..." He muttered into the darkness of the hallway.
~Day seven Last day
"End training sequence!"
"Hey!"
"You're clearly not 'fine,' Lance!" Keith tossed his bayard and stomped up to the blue paladin. "What's going on? You've been out of it all day." His voice softened as he neared Lance. "Tell me what's going on."
Lance sighed, carding his fingers through his hair. "I... I just... Shiro said something yesterday, and I can't stop thinking about it. It's stupid, and just- it's kinda private so I'd rather not say, but... It's just..."
"You're stuck on it." Keith murmured. "You don't have to tell me, but I might be able to help if you do."
"Yeah." Lance nodded. "Yeah..." His eyes were on the ground as Keith took his hands.
Keith stayed silent for a while, threading his fingers through Lance's. Lance gulped, his heart skipping.
"I..." Lance started, voice cracking. "I dreamt about my family last night. I was back home with everyone." Keith hummed and raised a hand to cup his cheek.
"Hey..." Keith murmured, drawing Lance's attention up to him. "I'm... I'm going to say something. Don't freak out." Lance nodded. "I... I've fallen in love with you... A long time ago." Lance's eyes widened, but he didn't move away. "I realized it a long time ago, I was just... I didn't know how to say it because you've always fought with me and... This past week, you... You're... I don't know how to describe it other than, you've been different. It's strange, it's different, and it's made me fall deeper."
Lance bit his lip. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have fought with you all the time. Keith, I-"
"Lance." Keith whispered, raising himself on his toes. "Does say anything right now." His fingers tangled in Lance's hair as he pulled Lance closer.
Their lips pressed together, Lance hesitant to respond.
Tentatively, Lance placed his free hand on Keith's waist. Keith leaned against Lance, but their lips parted. Lance's eyes were still closed, his brows furrowed. Keith brushed his knuckles over Lance's cheek and Lance leaned into his touch.
Lance bit his lip and lowered his head. He pulled away. "Keith... I..."
Keith gulped, dropping back onto his feet. "Do you not-?"
"No!" Lance shouted, eyes widening. "No, I do- I've wanted to kiss you and- oh, quiznak, I- I've just-"
Hastily, Keith grabbed Lance's face and yanked him down. Their lips crushed together. Lance grabbed Keith's hips and jerked him closer.
This kiss was deeper, harder, hotter. Heat coursed through both of them as they tightly grasped each other.
Both were definitely inexperienced, but they didn't seem to care.
Keith gasped as they pulled apart, panting for breath. "Lance..."
"Keith..." Lance murmured, resting his forehead against Keith's. "Keith."
~
Lance sighed softly as he walked out of the training room after Keith.
Shiro was standing there, a defeated glare in his eyes as he stared Lance down. "Keith, I need to talk to Lance." He muttered.
Keith blinked, then looked back at Lance. "O... kay. I'll see you later, Lance." He gave a short wave, then jogged ahead.
Lance gulped and shoved his hands in the pockets of his jeans.
The black paladin sighed. "Well, you won."
"Yeah..." Lance muttered, kicking his foot over the floor. "I guess I did... But, don't worry about being my slave and stuff."
"Servant."
"Sure, sure." Lance shrugged. "Yeah, that. Just forget about it."
Shiro folded his arms and raised a brow. "Something make you change your mind?"
Lance huffed, glaring at the floor. "It's just- this bet!" Lance tossed his arms in the air. "We made a bet to mess with Keith's feelings and in turn, it's screwing with my head! I don't- I can't do it anymore. I don't want to hurt him, Shiro. If he finds out about this... I don't know. I don't know."
Shiro stood still for a minute, then pat Lance's shoulder. "I'm glad I could get you to realize your feelings." Lance furrowed his brows and looked up at Shiro. "Lance, I've been getting to know you through this whole ordeal. I know more than I think you realize. I've noticed you staring, I've noticed you always staying close by him. Lance, I've noticed."
"Are you... Are you saying that you think I'm in love with Keith?" Lance asked, then gulped.
Shiro nodded. "What else? I saw the way you kissed him. You do care for him, whether you realize it or not."
Lance bit his lip and glanced away. They were silent for a moment before Lance spoke again. "Can we call off the bet?" He whispered, then spoke louder. "I mean, the bet was fun when we made it, then... Then I kinda..." Shiro chuckled.
Neither noticed nearing footsteps.
"The bet was fun while it lasted." Shiro mused.
Lance laughed softly. "Quiznak, I actually didn't have to try very hard to get him to confess to me. He just... Came right out. I thought I'd have to beg him to say it."
Shiro shook his head. "Careful what you say. But, I was not looking forward to being your servant. God knows what you'd make me do."
The blue paladin snorted. "Yeah, but to bet on Keith's feelings like that-"
"I'm a bet?"
Both paladins jolted and whipped their heads to face the newcomer. Keith stood, fists by his sides as he glared at Lance. "I was a God- damned bet!?" Keith snapped.
"Wait! Keith, I can-" Lance yelped, jumping forward.
"No!" Keith smacked Lance's hand away. "Don't fucking touch me, asshole! I can't believe I fucking fell for that shit act!" Keith turned on his heel and began stomping away."
"No, wait!" Lance choked, dashing forward. "Keith, listen to me!"
"I don't want to hear a damn word you have to say!" Keith shouted, tossing a sharp glare over his shoulder. "Leave me alone!"
Then he took off down the hall.
Lance forced himself to run after him. "Keith! Please, just- just give me one minute! I can explain everything!"
Keith didn't respond. He just ran faster, if possible.
Finally, just before they reached the halls their rooms were down, Lance skidded to a halt, panting and bending over to catch his breath. Keith kept going until he was locked in his room. Lance allowed himself to fall to his knees, burying his face in his hands.
"... Quiznak..."
~Day after
Lance poked at his food goo, chin resting on the heel of his palm as he stared blankly at the other side of the dining hall.
Hunk sighed, dropping his fork. "Dude, alright, spill. What happened? You lose?"
"No... Yes."
"Which one?"
"Somewhere in the middle..."
The yellow paladin groaned. "How!?"
Lance sunk into his chair, dropping his fork. "Keith confessed, kissed me, found out Shiro and I bet on him, and now he hates my living guts. I bet he had a nice, cozy dream last night of Zarkon ripping me to shreds."
Hunk shook his head. "Lance, just apologize."
The blue paladin whined pitifully. "I tried! He refused to listen!"
"Lance..." Hunk reached over and placed his hand on Lance's slumped shoulder. "Try and cheer up, dude. I hate you all gloomy and regretful."
Before Lance could speak, the doors to the dining hall opened. Lance looked up, then shot to his feet.
Keith stood in the doorway, brows furrowed angrily. Lance tensed, then slid his plate over to Hunk. "There. I'll see you later, Hunk." He muttered, then ambled out of the room, skirting around Keith. Keith refused to acknowledge Lance. Hunk sighed and dropped his head.
~Next day
Lance rested his forehead against the cool metal of Keith's door. "Please?"
"No."
The blue paladin flinched at the cold bite in Keith's tone. "Just- Keith... Please, I didn't- I didn't want to hurt you."
"And guess what you did!"
"I know!" Lance's breath hitched as his voice cracked. "And I'm try to apologize. I'm trying, Keith. Please, please just hear me out."
Silence suddenly filled the air, side-by-side with tension.
The door slid open and Lance stumbled. He froze as his jacket was shoved into his chest. "Take it back. I don't want it." Keith ground out, then shut the door before Lance could react.
Shaking, Lance stood there, staring at the door. He sucked in a deep breath. "I'm sorry." He murmured, then began to turn away.
~Next day
Lance stumbled around the castle, peeking in every room and around every corner. "What the fuck?" Lance grumbled, carding his fingers through his hair. "Where did I leave my jacket? I could have sworn I put it by the door on the training deck."
He continued to pace through the halls, scratching the back of his head as he thought about all the places he could have left his jacket. They hadn't landed on a planet, he hasn't gone in his lion.
Lounging area, maybe? But, he hadn't gone in there today, had he? Worth a shot.
Lance ambled toward the lounging area, rubbing at his tired eyes. He rolled his sleeves up to his elbows and entered the room. "Alright." He muttered, taking a deep breath. Lance caught a movement in the corner of his eye, so he glanced in the direction. Lance's eyes shot, wide open and he slapped his hands over his mouth to keep from shouting.
Keith lay asleep on the couch, Lance jacket draped over himself and the glowing stone clutched in his hands.
Once Lance calmed himself down, his heart rate that had leapt seconds earlier now at a calmer pace as he approached Keith.
The blue paladin sighed softly, crouching down in front of the couch beside Keith. Lance propped his elbow on the edge of the cushion, chin in his palm as his other hand hesitantly inched towards Keith. His fingers gently threaded through Keith's hair, bringing a smile to his own lips.
The red paladin hummed in his sleep, his grip on the rock loosening.
"I'm sorry." Lance whispered. "I can't say it enough. I shouldn't have bet on such a stupid thing."
Keith shifted slightly, tugging the jacket closer around himself. Lance bit his lip and moved his hand away. He carefully lowered himself to sit on the floor and crossed his legs.
"I didn't say it when you did, but..." Lance trailed, folding his arms over the edge of the couch and resting his chin on them. "I love you, too... Took me all week to realize it, but... I love you, too."
Lance's eyes fluttered shut as he sighed. "I'm an idiot, Keith..."
Without realizing how tired he was, Lance slowly drifted until he himself was asleep.
He didn't seem to sleep for long until his shoulder was shaken. Lance groaned softly, shrugging the hand off his shoulder. "I'm awake..." He muttered, voice deep with sleep.
"Good, now can you go away?"
Lance sighed, keeping his eyes shut. "Can I have my jacket back? You stole it."
Keith was silent for a moment before taking Lance's jacket off himself and dropping it on Lance. "Take it."
"Why'd you take it?" Lance asked, not bothering to move even though Keith was already off the couch.
The red paladin froze, then looked over his shoulder to Lance. "What?"
Lance sighed, shifting slightly. "Why did you take my jacket while I was training with Hunk?"
Tense silence filled the space between them. Keith broke it with a small voice. "I was... Cold... And I was tired."
"So why not grab a blanket?"
Keith clashed his teeth together. "What do you want? What do you have to gain from asking these questions?"
The blue paladin hummed. "I'm just asking. You hate me, right? So why cuddle with my jacket? Why go through the trouble of stealing my jacket to sleep with it?" Lance cracked open his eyes to look over his shoulder at Keith. "I just want to know why. That's all."
Both stayed still. Neither moved as they stared at each other. Keith gulped and turned away. "I..."
"I love you, Keith." Lance murmured, getting Keith to snap his attention back to him. "I do... It just took me that bet to realize it. I think that's why Shiro made that bet. I just... I didn't know that you loved me." Lance sat up and looked down. "The other day... Why I was so distracted was because Shiro had asked me if I loved you. It really... It stuck to me. I couldn't push it away, but it... It made me realize that... I do care about you, and I- I just... I love you, and I'm so sorry for everything." Lance's voice cracked.
Keith hesitated before rushing back and dropping to his knees beside Lance. Lance's eyes widened as he jerked his head up to look at Keith. Keith grabbed Lance's face and pulled him closer.
Their lips crushed together, Lance grabbing Keith's waist to hold him close.
Keith pulled away, and smiled. "You idiot."
Lance snickered. "But you love me."
