Katie absentmindely ran her fingers through Fazluna's hair, humming. Fazluna had grown so much in the past year.

That's right. It's been a whole year since she rescued Fazluna and father. A year since her father was killed. Almost a year since they found her brother. Katie tilted her head, sectioning of Fazluna's hair. It felt like only just the other day. She crossed the three separated locks over each other.

The green paladin paused at a glint of light from her left hand and glanced down. She smiled at the rings. An engagement ring and a wedding ring. Engaged for seven months, now married for two.

Two warm, large arms wrapped around her shoulders and lips pressed to the side of her head. Speaking of...

"There's my beautiful wife." Shiro whispered. "I woke up and she was gone."

Katie giggled, tying off the braid. "Sorry. Faz wanted to play and I didn't want her to wake you. You got back from that meeting with the Olkari late."

Shiro hummed, nuzzling the nook of Katie's neck. "Did you take a shower?" She nodded. "You smell wonderful."

"I'm glad. I don't want to smell like shit." Katie grumbled, fixing Fazluna's doll's arm. Shiro chuckled. He pressed a kiss to her neck after brushing her hair out of the way. "Ooh, I like that."

Shiro laughed softly, lowering his hands to her belly. "How long?"

"I suspect about three weeks in." Katie whispered, ushering Fazluna to go play with Lance and Matt. "I'm not entirely sure."

"When are we going to tell Fazluna she's going to be a sister? Or the rest of the team they're going to be uncles?" Shiro asking, helping Katie to her feet.

She snorted. "When they figure it out." Katie huffed, weaving their fingers together.

Shiro kissed her cheek as she pulled her hair up into a hairtie. "Cruel." He mused.

Katie grinned up at him. "You know you love it. Besides, serves Lance right for pulling whatever that was in my foodgoo last week."

"Of course." Shiro nodded, sliding his arm around waist as they walked out of the commons room. "But what about Matthew?"

"We can tell him. And mom. Mom needs to know." Katie gave a firm nod, then rested her head on his bicep. "We need to go back to Earth and grab things for it. Like, a bunch of things. Probably twice the amount of normal people because we don't know what gender and stuff, but-"

"Katie." Shiro cut in, squeezing her waist. "Don't go on another rant." She gave a short giggle. "Come on. Let's go find Allura."

Katie huffed as Hunk helped her to her swollen feet. "I swear, I'm not fat."

Hunk chuckled and patted her large belly. "I know, Pidge. You're just tiny and Shirogane babies are big." Katie groaned, rolling her head over her shoulders. "And they kick like fricken ninjas."

"You're telling me." The green paladin grumbled, placing a small hand on her belly as she held onto Hunk for support with her other. "Shiro and Matt are going to kill me if they find out I fell asleep in here again."

The yellow paladin hummed, walking with her out of her lab. "So be glad I came looking for you instead of either of them."

"I am!" Katie whined, leaning on him. "I'm so glad it was you and not them. Hunk, you're so precious and kind and I have no idea what I'd do without you and know that I'm only saying this because I'm pregnant and hormonal and tired and-"

"Stop right there before you blow a lung, Pidge." Hunk mused as they walked through the dimly lit walls. She sighed. "Are you hungry?"

"Yes!"

"Alright." Hunk chuckled. "Let's go get something to eat."

"Bacon wrapped pickles and peanut butter."

"... Whatever you want, Pidge."

"You're the best, Hunk."

Katie rested her head on Shiro's shoulder, panting softly with a smile. "He looks just like you." She whispered, brushing her knuckles over the baby's cheek.

Shiro hummed, eyes glued to the newborn in his arms. "I suppose he does."

The baby gurgled, curling and uncurling his fingers as he reached up to his parents.

Katie smiled and let him take her finger. "Hi, sweetie. I'm your mama." He cooed, grey-blue eyes wide in wonder as he looked up at their faces, memorizing them.

Shiro smiled and carefully handled him over into Katie's welcoming arms. He held his arms under hers as she leaned into him. "Hey, precious." Katie whispered as the baby yawned. Shiro pressed his lips to her head. "You'll make everyday just a little bit better, huh?"

The black paladin rested his forehead on her head. "I love you so much, Katie."

She smiled. "I love you, too."
