Vampire ~ H2ODelirious

I stepped foot into the small town that I once lived in. "Hello Mystic Falls." I smirked and looked around as people walked around aimlessly. I walked to the local bar and sat in one of the stools. "I'll have a scotch." The bartender laughed as I placed my order and leaned over the counter. "If you like scotch, go talk to that guy at the end of the bar. It's all he ever drinks." I smiled and nodded, understanding what the bartender was saying.

I sat next to the dark, mysterious man and looked at him. He parted his lips and smirked while speaking in his low voice. "Wanna help me with something.?" I smiled and took a sip of my drink. "Of course." We got up after finishing our drinks and walked into the alley next to the bar.

"So what was this thing you wanted me to help you with.?" I looked around, looking for something. "Come here," he looked into my eyes and muttered, "you will not remember helping me get my brother out of town. Also you're going to help me capture his crazy ex, got that?" I bit my lip and smiled. "You tried to compel me. It doesn't work on me dude." He smiled and stared into my eyes, searching for something. He sighed, not finding the one thing he was looking for. "You're not..." I smirked and stepped forward. "Nope, I'm not a vampire."

We walked to his house and went to his parlor. "So how can you not get compelled?" I took a sip of his drink and smiled. "You know who Katherine is right?" He looked down and nodded slightly. "Unfortunately, yes." I sat on the couch and sighed. "Katherine had two kids when she was still alive but she was soon after, turned into a vampire." He hesitated and looked at me. "Wait before you continue, my name is Jonathan. My brother is Evan." I smiled and looked away as he told me the names.

"Katherine had two daughters, one of which had a kind soul and loved her family. The other daughter had an evil spirit and often chose her mother over her father." Jonathan looked intently at me, listening to every word I said. "When the father left, he took his kind daughter with him, leaving the mother alone, with her only other daughter. She swore that she would get revenge and she did. Katherine fed her daughter her blood and killed her, causing her little girl to become a vampire." I paused and took a sip of my drink.

The next part was going to be difficult to say but I had to finish the story. "Katherine lived on, becoming more powerful as time went on. Eventually 1864 came along and so did you and your brother. Katherine had a plan for getting you two but meanwhile, she sent her witch friend, Emilie, to take her daughter's powers away. She became a human but never aged. For awhile she was furious at her mother. But then someone came along who was willing to change her back." Jonathan hesitated and spoke softly, "Katherine was dead. She was supposed to be burned alive."

I nodded and sighed. "She had made a deal with a werewolf to help her get out, leaving the others inside." Jonathan put his face in his hands and laughed. I stood up, trying to continue the story. "A kind vampire who had fallen for a human was the
one who was willing to change her. The vampire had forgotten what the human looked like and even now to this day, he doesn't recognize her. Katherine had eventually found out about her trying to become a vampire again but she wouldn't allow it. After she showed up, her daughter vanished."

A gust of wind brushed passed my face, making my hair sway. "The evil daughter manipulated a desperate vampire into generously handing over their blood, causing the daughter to have full control of her transformation."

I held up a small vial with a dark red liquid inside. "She kept it with her but never drank it. As time went on, she became more manipulative and mischievous. Katherine stayed hidden, watching from the side lines, trying to find the right moment to come back to her poor child."

"What happened to her in the end?" Jonathan smiled wanting to know the ending of the story. "Katherine's daughter who has the everlasting life, roams this town hoping that Katherine will finally let her have her vampiric powers back."

I looked down at my vial  and smiled. "I haven't said the daughter's name though. Her name was Y/N." A tall figure stood by the door, arms crossed and staring at me and Jonathan. "So this daughter of Katherine must be an amazing girl. But my real interest is in you. Why are you sharing this story with him?" I stood, looking away. "I'm sharing this story because it explains his question. I can't be compelled because technically I'm dead. Technically I'm a vampire with no fangs and no self healing. I have to spend every day wondering if I should drink the blood because if I do and I fail at this once again, everything is over."

The boy smiled and spoke softly. "What about that one important detail?" I looked at him and growled. "T-The blood in the daughter's vial is your brother's. E-Evan's." Evan chuckled and got in my face. "You ever bring up Katherine in this house and I'll kill you myself." He paused and thought for a awhile. "Ever since we met I've had one regret," he went silent for a moment and said, "and that one regret is you." In an instant I was dragged out of the house and tossed off the porch. I winced as my vial pierced my skin, drawing blood. A figure grabbed me and pulled me behind the house, wiping the blood away.

A few days later I woke up to the sound of glass shattering. Loud music was playing and the room was dark. I crawled out of the room and inched my way towards the parlor. "Jonathan get over her. She's gone. She never liked you, just like Katherine." Evan laughed and walked over to the dancing boy. He spun around and fell over. "No. She's out there somewhere but she's just scared. Katherine is back and I'm sure that she knows about it by now." He took a sip of his drink and danced around. I spun around and ran out of the door, stumbling as I reached the porch. The light burned my eyes and my skin. I screamed out in pain and fell back into the shadows and onto the door. A pair of arms picked me up and pulled me back into the house, shutting the door behind them. After my eyes regained their normal feeling again, I opened them and saw a drunk Jonathan laying next to me.

"Jonathan? Why did I heal so quickly? Why did I get burned if I was wearing my locket?" I questioned him, not pausing for his response. He leaned in close to my face and smiled his drunk smile. "My brother dragged you in through the back and drained your blood for me to drink. He fed you the blood in the vial first so you'll turn. He wanted revenge for some of the things I did." I sighed and looked around. "Where's my locket?" Evan walked in and handed me the locket, smiling. "You're welcome, love. I figured you'd like to be a vampire just like your boyfriend here."

So I left. I couldn't take the vampire business so I walked away. Ever since then, people have died off in town. The Mayor, a news reporter, a teenager at the high school, and even the sheriff. All of these deaths had something in common and I knew exactly who did it. Jonathan always had a thing for killing people in a way that made it seem like it was done by an animal. All these people were claimed to have been killed by animals... I found a safe place until Katherine would find me again, but instead, a girl who looked to be my age and had my looks came to the door.

"Hello. Are you Y/N?" She smiled a kind smile and showed off her dimples. I sighed and nodded. "Yea who's asking?" She giggled and looked behind me. "I'm Violet, your twin sister." I staggered back and noticed how similar she looked compared to me. Other than her pink frilly clothes, she was my exact copy. I hugged her and smiled. "Oh my god... I thought I would never see you again!!" We went inside and I sat with her. "Where have you been? How are you still alive?" She smiled and sat. "I'm a vampire silly. But our mother has sent me. She said that you need to stay away from Mystic Falls. There's werewolves and vampires still roaming the town and the brothers are still here." She sighed, then continued. "Come with me to the town nearby. We'll be happy there. We can all be with mother again and she won't have to do any harm to anyone." I slid a sharp wooden stake towards me and kept it out of her sight. "Where's father? Remember when you picked him over mother? Katherine would never pick you because you are too kind and not at all ready for this kind of curse. You're a liar." I picked up the stake and stabbed Violet. My hand sizzled and she fell.

My twin sister was dead. So I left. I went to Jonathan's to say my goodbyes because I was never coming back. He sat alone in his parlor, drinking scotch like always. "Jon?" He turned his head slightly and smiled. "Hello." I sat next to him, taking his drink. "I'm leaving. I've done something horrible and now I can't do anything to take it back. Katherine is coming after me and I'll be dead if I stay. I'm sor--" he stopped me and kissed me.

"Don't be sorry. I know about your twin sister. She was kind but had a dark spirit inside her. That girl you killed, wasn't your sister. It was practically a spirit, taking over." I smiled sadly. "I can't believe she's gone. My father is gone too. But I can't stay. Katherine will come after me." He hugged me tight and spoke softly. "Stay with me and we'll be safe from her. I promise. Evan may regret meeting you but I don't." He smiled and looked away while Evan walked in.

"Such a sweet couple. I don't think you're being rational Jonathan. Think about this. You'll end up saying exactly what I said." He threw a stake at Jonathan and smiled. "I hope you pick the right choice." As Evan walked out, Jonathan ran to Evan and stabbed him in the heart. "I think I did Ev. You were right. Ever since we met I've had one regret," he laughed his insane laugh and spoke, "and that one regret is you." He hugged his brother for the last time. "Goodbye Evan. I'll say bye to you're girlfriend for you."

Jonathan dropped his brother and looked down. "Seems like nothing will be safe anymore. Katherine will kill me because I killed her love so looks like we'll have to protect each other now. You aren't leaving okay?" I nodded softly and looked at Evan's limp body. "Let's go feed." He smiled and held my hand as we raced off into town, looking for fresh new victims.

We were happy now, with all our enemies eliminated. We'll stay in this town forever, feeding on the town's people. Katherine is no where to be seen.

"Maybe she isn't alive." I smiled as I wrote the last sentence to my book.

"I guess people will like this right?" I looked over at Jonathan and he smiled. "It'll be a bestseller."
