TEDDY was always the odd-one-out, even since birth . he's always been a shy and extremely awkward lad, with a lot to hide and no social status whatsoever. he's buried himself in his 'work', that being collecting comic books and pursuing his love of arachnid, insect and bird photography. he's always wanted to be something more, since he's utterly just buried in a crowd, unable to speak, literally with his speech impediment. he's nervous and timid, but when he's able to have any sort of fun his bright and chirpy side beams. he's an optimist, looking for the best in people, situations and himself. he's anxious but eager to make relationships with new people he finds common interest with, and ends up attempting to prove himself to them. despite his proneness to social anxiety, he's flirtatious, although things never turn out well. he just hopes for the best. could you blame him? he has a past to make up for.

AT BIRTH, teddy's mother experienced extreme pain, which was unusual considering she already had three daughters with no problems. all were home births, due to their financial issues in the backstreet heights of the city. his father, being an arachnid analyst and taxidermist had no epidermal, but had another option, which was spider venom. certain compounds in venomous spiders contained numbing substances that those spiders would use to numb their prey, and so the deed was done. in the end, the injection contained poison killing off teddy's mother in the next few weeks and leaving teddy with the side effects.
of course, feeling guilty and responsible, teddy's father fell into a depression over his lost love and became neglectful towards his son. five years later, he took his own life.

this left teddy to be taken care of by his older sisters, who were better than he could have asked for. of course, they were financially inept and clung to family donations to pay the rent, with each holding a secure job, but what they lacked in money they made up for in love. there were only minimal fights amongst the four siblings and teddy was ultimately beloved. he plans to make it up to his sisters one day, and whenever they are in need he always put(s) their needs before his own.

of course, this was made a bit harder when he discovered his side effects.

P O W E R S

TEDDY first unknowingly discovered his powers once puberty came around and was in full effect by age 15. he suffered from intense acne, which whenever popped seemed to leak the same venom that killed his mother. months passed, he was relieved of his acne, and he was suddenly noticing his intense reflexes, catching flies in mid-air and suffering from extreme hunger and strength. he could sense the crawling of bugs in the room or the small creaks in the walls. when spooked, he found himself on the ceiling. he scoured the internet, the library, whatever he could find to get answers but there were none. a year had passed when teddy finally experienced a feeling of growing pains in his arms, which turned out to become the source of webbing he would suddenly start constructing in his hands. today, he still doesn't know why he's been somewhat blessed with these powers.
