(A/n: Hey guys! Sorry for not updating in a long time. I was writing another book, which is now completed! Also, I had to keep up school. So anyway, enjoy this new chapter!)

The snack pack explored Waterfall with determination.
They encountered echo flowers in their path. They were blue glowing flowers and whenever the snack pack said something, these flowers would repeat it over and over and over. Waterfall was like a cave with glowing plants and rivers. The snack pack noticed a writing on a wall. It was an ancient writing. Poppy started to read them.
"The War of Humans, Trolls, and Monsters." She began, "Why did the humans and trolls attack? Indeed, it seemed that they had nothing to fear. Humans and trolls are unbelievably strong. It would take the soul of nearly every monster just to equal the power of a single human or troll soul. But they have one weakness. Ironically, it is the strength of their souls. The soul of a human or a troll is incredibly strong. The power allows it to persist outside the body, even after death."
"Wow!" Said Guy Diamond, "We have strong souls!"
Branch continued to read the text.
"If a monster defeats a human or a troll, they can take its soul. A monster with a human or troll soul becomes a horrible beast with unfathomable power. The power to take their souls. This is the power the humans and trolls feared."
There was an illustration of a strange creature. There was something very unsettling about the drawing.
Cooper continued to read:
"This power has no counter. A human or a troll cannot take a monster's soul. When a monster dies, it's soul disappears. And an incredible power would be needed to take the soul of a living monster. There is only one exception. The soul of a special species of monster called a 'Boss Monster'. A Boss Monster's soul is strong enough to persist after death... but only for a few moments. A human or a troll can absorb this soul. But this has never happened, and now, it never will."
"So, a monster soul is weak compared to our souls." Said Branch, "I think the war started because the humans and trolls were afraid of having their souls taken by the monsters."
Biggie continued to read the text:
"The humans and trolls, afraid of our power, declared war on us. They attacked suddenly, and without mercy. In the end, it could hardly be called a war. United, the humans and trolls were too powerful, and us monsters, too weak. Not a single soul was taken, and countless monsters were turned to dust."
"So, trolls weren't always so friendly and kind." Said Branch.
"I don't understand." Said Poppy.
Satin and Chenille continued to read:
"Hurt, beaten, and fearful for our lives, we surrendered to the humans and trolls. Their greatest magicians sealed us underground with a magic spell. Anything can enter through the seal, but only beings with a powerful soul can leave."
The snack pack looked at each other in shock of what they learned.
"Oh my god." Said Smidge and she continued to read:
"There is only one way to reverse this spell. If a huge power, equivalent to six human souls and eight troll souls, attack the barrier... it will be destroyed. But this cursed place has no entrances or exits. There is no way a human or a troll can come here. We will remain trapped down here forever."
"Well, we did fell down into this place." Said Branch, "This has an entrance."
Guy Diamond read the final parts of the writing:
"However, there is a prophecy. The Angel, the one who has seen the surface, they will return and the underground will go empty."
"Eight troll souls." Said Poppy, "We are eight trolls. We are the required souls to break the barrier."
"But, it also requires six human souls." Said Branch.
The snack pack continued down through Waterfall. When suddenly, a spear struck down in front of them.
"Where did that come from?!" Yelled Biggie.
They looked around to see where the spear came from. They saw Undyne!
"Surprise!" Undyne said as she started to throw her spears at the snack pack.
"Run!" Poppy yelled and the snack pack started to run as fast as they could.
Undyne was running after them and continued to throw her spears at them.
"You trolls can't run from me!" She yelled as she was still running after the snack pack.
The snack pack ran to the tall grass to hide. Undyne went to the bushes to find the snack pack. She thought she grabbed the snack pack with her hand. But, she accidentally grabbed the Minster Kid. Undyne putted the kid down and walked away. Once she was gone, the snack pack and the Monster kid came out from their hiding.
"Yo, did you guys see that?!" Asked the Monster kid with excitement, "Undyne just... Touched me! I'm never washing my face ever again!! Man, aren't you guys unlucky." The monster kid didn't know that the snack pack were trolls. "If you were standing a little bit to the left. Yo, don't worry. I'm sure we'll see her again." He leaves.
"This kid doesn't know that we are trolls." Said Branch.
"He does remind us of Kieth." Said Poppy.
The snack pack continued through Waterfall. Filling them with determination!
