Another tear slid down Roman's face. He hated himself for crying, he wanted to seem strong for Patton, even if he wasn't here. His suicide shouldn't have been a surprise. After looking through their countless texts and remembering all their conversations, it was obvious. Roman should've seen. Roman shouldn't have believed Patton when he said those scars were on accident, or when Patton has eyes red from crying, he should've asked, he should've cared. Like Patton cared for him with all his broken heart. Another tear found its way down Roman's face.

Roman felt pathetic, and that's because he was. He couldn't save his love. He couldn't be the prince he deserved.
