A Bloody Mess|Danplan

Pairing: none technically, but you can interpret it as Hosuh x Stephen

Fandom: Danplan

Warnings: Murder, blood, a corpse, don't worry I won't go too into detail, oh yeah and cussing

I know that Stephen has left Danplan, but this was already partially done when I found out, and I still want to be a part of this fandom. I was really proud of this,,,,, so yeah,,, here it is

"Uhh, hey Hosuh?" Stephen asked over the phone.

"Yeah? What's up?" Hosuh was slightly confused as to why Stephen was calling, they had just seen each other earlier today.

"I need you to come over, it's urgent," Stephen explained.

Hosuh paused.

"What? Why? Are you hurt?" Hosuh starting to get worried, and considered calling an ambulance.

"Hah! I'm not the one that's hurt," He heard Stephen laugh over the phone. Hosuh didn't know how to feel about that statement. On one hand, Stephen wasn't hurt, but that meant someone else was. And Stephen was probably already on multiple government watch lists, and he definitely didn't need to be on another.

"Oh, yeah," He added, "bring a shovel. And some hydrogen peroxide."

Stephen hung up on him, leaving Hosuh an equal mix of concerned and confused.

Hosuh reluctantly pulled into Stephen's driveway, glancing around cautiously. Though, nothing seemed off, and that's what made it feel so off. Hosuh parked the car and stepped out. As soon as he did, he heard Stephen calling him.

"Hosuh! Oh god, you're finally here!" Stephen waved him in from the door. What made Hosuh even more worried was he couldn't tell if Stephen was relieved, irritated, or anything at all. Stephen always had this mysterious vibe, but everyone shook it off. Well, mostly everyone.

Hosuh slung the duffle bag of supplies over his shoulder and trudged in.

"Follow me," Stephen was already far ahead of Hosuh, forcing him to speed up.

Hosuh wanted to know what was going on, but he doubted Stephen would tell him.

Worth a try, he thought.

"Hey, uh, in the call, you didn't really explain what was going on,"

Stephen didn't answer. The two of them were walking down into the basement, and as a person of common knowledge knows, never go into creepy basements.

But they descended down into the darkness nonetheless.

"Oh god, what's that smell?!" The stench was growing stronger the closer they got into the basement. Stephen either didn't hear him or didn't care, and knowing Stephen, he probably didn't care. He couldn't see anything either, so that didn't help him with his anxiety growing.

"Hey, can you turn on the lights?" Hosuh whispered without realizing why.

"Gladly,"

Hosuh woke up on somewhere that wasn't his bed. Or a bed at all. He was on Stephen's couch actually.

"Finally! You're up,"

Hosuh ignored him, and ran towards the basement.

"Hey!"

Hosuh tripped down the stairs and turned on the lights.

"So it wasn't a dream,"

Hosuh stood there, feel nauseous seeing the mutilated body. The body's face was bash in, and unidentifiable. Despite his mind yelling at him to stop, he knelt down and took the body's pulse. Nothing. Hosuh checked for any sign of survival, just to find more blood.

"What are you doing?"

"Nothing,"

There was an awkward silence between the two. Hosuh opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by Stephen.

"If you're wondering, I'm not going to answer any of your questions,"

"You answered one of them,"

Stephen hesitated.

"Fuck you, and come on, you're helping me bury the body,"

Hosuh was outraged, "What? Why! This was your fault, so you have to deal with it!"

Stephen gasped, "I didn't do anything wrong! And also, you touched the body, it has you fingerprints on it as well as mine, so you have to help,"

Well, Hosuh couldn't argue with that. Actually, that was a lie.

"How could you think you did nothing wrong? You killed someone!"

"Oh my god! This again? He deserved it!"

"What did he do then?"

Stephen turned towards the stairs and changed the subject, "Just get your stuff, we have a body to bury,"

Even with a dead body, Stephen was acting normal. Well, as normal as he can be.

"Where are we exactly?" Hosuh was trying to find out where they were, and it wasn't that easy, especially since they had past the last road sign a while back.

"Somewhere,"

Hosuh internally face palmed himself, "Yeah, no shit."

Hosuh was determined to get answers, but he knew how stubborn Stephen could be. But, that wasn't to say he wouldn't try. "Stephen, who's in your trunk, and don't say something stupid like a corpse or something, okay"

"Fine. A friend"

"What?"

"You heard me,"

The rest of the ride was silent.

"Get the shovel!"

"Yeah, yeah, I got it,"

They had finally made it to nowhere in particular, where Stephen has decided to bury the body. Hosuh shoveled the dirt while glaring at Stephen.

"You could at least do something!"

"Like what?" Stephen was lounging on a fallen tree log, that was probably why he picked this place.

"Anything!" He suggested. It was getting harder and harder to lift up the shovel.

"What, like murder someone else?"

"Nevermind," Hosuh continued to bury the body.

"Finally home!" Hosuh stretched. They had been gone the entire day.

Hosuh noticed that it was quieter than usual. Like something was missing. Or someone.

"Stephen, where's Dan?"

Stephen didn't answer.

Hosuh's heart dropped. "Stephen?"

"Do you really want to know where he is?"

Hosui didn't reply, he was too busy inching towards the exit.

Stephen burst into laughter.

"He's in the other room," Stephen pointed to a sleeping Dan on the sofa.

Hosuh looked into the other room, and there he was. Hosuh felt stupid for not noticing. Stephen was still cracking up.

"It's not funny!"

"You're right, you're right," Stephen grinned, "It was hilarious,"

Hosuh groaned, "I'm going to, I don't know, clear my mind or whatever,"
