Elsa's P.O.V.

The last sight I saw of Anna was her bright smile as she ran to my new room before I locked myself up. "You'll be fine. Conceal it. Don't feel it," papa said. That would be my strategy. Conceal. Don't feel. Don't let it show. "We'll come check on you every once in a while." Mama just stayed silent and smiled. I nodded and looked down. "We love you." With that, they left.

I sat on my bed and took the Anna doll from my night stand. When would I be able to see her again? Probably never. I just want to keep her safe. If this was what it took, I was willing. I held the doll tightly to my chest and lied on my back. When suddenly, I heard the window swing open.

I slowly got up, holding the doll in my hand. Sure enough, the window was open. But who opened it? "Hello? Is anyone there?" I asked. But there wasn't an answer. Then, the window started freezing. That wasn't me. I didn't think so at least. My powers could have frosted it. I probably didn't even know.

I lied back down in bed. Above me, a figure was floating, snowflakes sprinkling from his staff. The person I had wished to see in my dreams was now in front of me. I gasped and pulled myself back as away from him as possible. "J-Jack?" I stuttered. I was speechless. I didn't know this day would ever come.

"You can see me?" he asked, surprised. I nodded, smiling. He breathed heavily, his lips slowly curling into a smile. "I didn't know anyone believed in me."

"I do," I said shyly. He flew down from his spot so that he was level to me.

"What's this?" he asked, holding out his hand to see the doll. I gave it to him.

"A doll of my sister," I explained. "I really miss her," I added.

"What happened?" he asked, handing me the doll. I felt hot tears brimming in my eyes. I was starting to miss her. She must be out there, boring herself, feeling left out and heartbroken.

"I accidentally hurt her. Now I have to stay away from her so that I won't hurt her again." A single tear ran down my cheek but froze at my cheek.

"I'm sorry. I hope you can see each other again soon," he said sadly. He then noticed the frozen tear. "Is that ice?" I nodded and he stared at me like I was weird. He opened his mouth as if to say something but didn't.

"I feel like I don't belong," I said and buried my face in my hands. "I just want my sister back."

"You know, I have a friend. She's a little older than you," he started. He took a seat on my bed next to me and held my empty hand in his. "She was born with the power to control fire. One day, she was sent away to protect her sister." I looked up at him. Was this true? If it was, that girl must have been really brave to leave her sister.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah," he said and chuckled a little. "She obeyed and never went back to her home. She just wanted to keep her sister safe."

"She sounds really caring and brave. It sounds like she sacrificed her life for her sister," I said, looking at the doll. I would have done the same. Maybe. I don't know if I would be able to live without my sister.

"Yeah. But at least her sister is okay."

"Jack," I said, looking up at him. "I don't want you to go. You're my only friend. The only person I have left. What if I stop believing in you?" I asked.

"Even if you can't see me, I will always be right here," he said and pointed at my chest. In my heart. No matter what happens, he will be protecting me. He is my guardian.
