P.O.V. [Name]

I sighed as I looked at the tall building in front of me. This has to be the palace I can't imagine a building as tall as this and it not being the palace. As I began to walk up the stairs I saw a female with blue hair and blue eyes standing at the top. 

She seemed to have an intimidating aura around her but I'll try not to get nervous around her. No point in letting her know her intimidating factor is working on her own men after all. "Are you general Esdeath?" I asked looking at her, hoping that she was. 

"I am, and you must be the new recruit the prime minister told me about," She said looking at me, I nodded when she said this and we began to walk into the large building in front of me. "So I've been told that you're quiet strong," She said looking at me. 

I only managed nod when she said this and we continued down the halls of the palace. I don't understand why King wanted me to get a job here. Is he planning something and needs me in this particular position or is for another reason?

I continued to follow the female as we suddenly came to a stop. "This will be your room, I won't show you were it is again so don't bother asking," She said looking at me, I nodded hearing this and walked into the room placing the small bag that I had on the ground. 

I guess the Jaegers get special treatment since they're a special team. I then turned to see Esdeath looking at me and she smiled. "I'd suggest getting some rest you have your first mission tomorrow," She said as she walked away. 

I sighed hearing this and opened my bag, I then pulled out a small picture and placed it by my bed. It's not much but it's more than enough for me and I might not want Esdeath finding out about it. I then looked out the window to my room and saw that it was late. 

I then began to walk out of my room and down the halls of the palace trying to make a mental note of where my room was so that I wouldn't get lost when I come back. I then walked out of the building and towards a large hill in the distance. 

I never really understood why he likes meeting in places like these but then again he was with the organization even longer than me so I guess having a few quirks isn't as bad as him wanting to massacre everyone he sees. 

I saw a familiar white haired figure in the distance and sighed as I walked towards him. When I was a few feet from him he turned to look at me and sighed. "Alright, they didn't question me and Esdeath doesn't seem to be suspicious of us. So what's the plan?" I asked looking at my partner. 

He sighed hearing this and looked at me. He then went to sit down and a large rock came up from the ground giving him a chair. I then heard a sound behind me and turned to see that a similar chair had come up for me. 

If he's sitting down then he's expecting me to have type of reaction to what he's about to say. As I sat down I prepare myself for whatever he was about to say weather it be he wants us to put an end to all crime in this city or this is just a cover to assassinate the emperor.

"I'm stopping," He said looking at me I was a bit confused to hear this and looked at him. 

"Stopping what?" I asked looking at him. 

"I'm done with killing people, I've decided to stop taking missions. It just doesn't interest me any more," He said looking at me, I was more than shocked to hear this and looked at him when he said this. 

"So that's it, then why have me get a job at the palace?" I asked looking at him.

"Just because I've stopped doesn't mean you have to. I can see that while you may not enjoy this type of work you are willing to do it. Plus you've never truly cared for evil so I thought helping Esdeath and her group disband the assassin's would be the best job for you while I'm gone," He said looking at me. 

"King do you even realize what you're saying? Most of our missions were as a team, I work better with others, what am I supposed to do without you?" I asked looking at him. 

"There are others in the Jaegers, so I'm sure you'll be fine," He said looking at me, I sighed hearing this and looked at him realizing that he was serious. He really doesn't want to do this anymore, the last two surviving members of the organization are going their separate ways. 

"So what will you do?" I asked looking at him. 

"I don't know, it's hard for me to think about something other than killing people, but I still want to try," King said looking at me and I nodded. 

"What if you don't like living a normal life? Then what will you do?" I asked looking at him. 

"Then I'll see if you want to join me again. If not then I'm strong enough to take care of myself," King said looking at me and I nodded. I then saw a smirk spread across his face and he looked at me. "Plus sine you'll be in one location and not traveling all the time. It'll give you more time to spend with your girlfriend Leona," He said looking at me and I became a little irritated hearing him mispronounce her name. 

"It's Leone," I said looking at him.

"Like it matters," He said as he stood up with his chair going back into the ground behind. "But," He said looking at me as I stood up, when I did I heard the chair behind me sink back into the ground like his had done and he looked at me. 

"If you really are worried about what might happen to me, then we can meet up in exactly three months. That should be more than enough time for me to decide weather I want to keep living a normal life or continue what I've been doing for most of it," He said looking at me and I nodded. 

"Okay, then it's decided we'll meet up in three months," I said looking at him and he nodded as we began to walk away from each other. I then walked back tot he palace and made my way to my room. When I opened the door I saw that the picture I had left was still beside my bed. 

I smiled seeing this and sat on my bed looking at the picture for a moment before I laid down. If nothing else King is right this will give me more time to spend with Leone. I then closed my eyes and began to fall asleep.

I also want to mention that I don't have an imperial arm planned for the reader so if you have something you'd like to see then please let me know and I'll try to include it in the story.
