A/N: Hey guys so I'm having a little trouble with the next chapter because it has a somewhat long fight scene in it and I'm not that great at writing fight scenes so it's taking me a little time to finish it. So until it's ready I hope you all enjoy this.

P.O.V. Third

King let out a tired Yawn as he walked into the building he had been staying for a while. When he did he reached into his pocket and pulled out his watch. An item that he cherished greatly.

He then opened the watch and looked at the tiny message engraved in it. "You're strong and important now, so of course others like you. However please don't forget about the one person who loved you more than his own life. When no one else bothered to care," As he looked down at the watch he smiled a little sad as he remembered the day he had received the watch.

FLASHBACK

A young King was sitting beside Chronos as they enjoyed a meal together. However after King had finished he pushed the bowl aside and laid his head on the table. Chronos had noticed that he had been acting a little strange lately, however today it was worse than the others.

Chronos sighed as he looked at the young white haired male. "What's wrong?" Chronos asked looking at the male. King was quiet for a moment before King looked away and answered.

"Today's my birthday," King said as he looked away.

"Oh well why didn't you tell me? I know the humans value the day of their birth for some reason. We could have-" Chronos began only to stop noticing that King was still looking away. "Or is it something else?" Chronos asked looking at the male.

"Each year on my birthday the villagers would usually get really violent, even more so than usual. I guess they didn't want the day I was born to be celebrated in a good way," King said looking away.

Chronos looked at King a little sad hearing this and stood up. When he did he placed some money on the table and turned around. "I'll see you back at our room," Chronos said as he walked out of the building. King nodded when he did and left a few minutes after Chronos.

King walked down the street not really having any particular destination in mind. He wondered around the town until he noticed that it was starting to get a little late. When he saw this he began to walk back to the room that he and Chronos had been staying in the past few days.

As he was walking his mind went back to when he was in the village. All the villagers glaring at him with hatred in their eyes. The way they singled him out and relentless persecuted him. However King slowly smiled as he thought about the day that he had met Chronos.

Someone who had no reason to care about him. Yet he took him in, cared for him, and protected him. King looked at the door to his room for a moment before a thought crossed his mind. 'I should apologize to him for being so distant,' King thought to himself as he looked at the door.

King then slowly opened the door and what he saw next shocked him. "Where did you go?" Chronos asked looking at him. "I searched all over for you," Chronos said as looking at him. King's eyes widen slightly at what he saw in front of him.

However what caught King's eye was that in front of him was a small cake, a small present that had been wrapped, some food and some drinks that they usually didn't get. "Wh-what is all this?" King asked looking at Chronos.

Feeling a little embarrassed the great spirit blushed slightly and scratched the back of his head. "Well I thought about what you said earlier and since today is special and you were sad I wanted to cheer you up," Chronos said as he reached over to the cake.

He then held it up revealing the words "happy birthday" written on the side of the cake. "Anyway enough of that, let's celebrate-" Chronos said as he looked at King however stopped himself as he saw a few tears starting to roll down King's face.

"King? What's wrong?" Chronos asked as he looked at the male. When asked this King nodded and wiped the tears from his face giving Chronos a bright smile. Chronos smiled seeing this understanding how the young male felt and looked at him. "Welcome home King," Chronos said as he looked at the male.

When he said this King nodded and walked over to the male. When he did Chronos placed the small box in front of him. "If it's okay with you, I'd like you to open your present first," Chronos said looking at him. The male said a little nervous King nodded and opened the small box in front of him.

When he did he saw a small silver pocket watch. He smiled seeing this and held it a little tightly. "I know it's not much but it's the best I could do on such short notice," Chronos said looking at the male in front of him. King smiled hearing this and nodded.

"No, it's fine. I . . . I . . ." King began only to move forward and hug the male. "Thank you so much Chronos," King said and he held the male. Chronos smiled hearing this and looked at the King. "Well then, I guess we should continue with the celebration huh?" Chronos said as King stopped hugging him and smiled.
