[Name] was having a wonderful time just laying down enjoying the silence. [Name] loved moments like these where he could just relax and not worry about anything.
That was until the worst sound ever started to fill the room.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*

[Name] slammed his hand on the stupid device. He then got up and looked at the time '9:30' he thought. He then started to question this. 'Why in the world did I set my alarm to 9:30? More importantly it's Saturday! Why the hell did I set my alarm on a Satur. . . . ' that's when it hit [Name]

'Oh shit that's right I'm supposed to meet Velvet at the park today.' [Name] thought to himself as he quickly got put of bed and did his normal routine. Consisting of a shower brushing his teeth and having a light morning meal. He then went back upstairs to his closest and looked through some clouths that he thought would be nice.

He had pickd out a pair of black shorts and [f/c] T-shirt. He did so because as he mentioned they were going to the park to get ice cream nothing fancy. "I hope to god Velvet didn't forget." [Name] thought aloud.

P.O.V change Velvet.

As I walked to the door of my dorm I tried to be as quiet as possible. As to not be noticed I for my date with [name] had chosen to wear a simple red shirt with a brown skirt. As I opened the door my mind went to what [Name] was doing and what he thought.'What if he doesn't come? What if he's only being nice to me to make me feel bad later?'

My brain then thought of something that made my face heat up I could tell my face was at least a little red. 'What if he trys to kiss me.' I could feel my face heating up even more as my mind continued on this train of thought. 'What if he asks me on another date. What if he asks me to be his girlfriend!'

I was so preoccupied with my thoughts that I failed to notice I had arrived at the park. I saw [Name] sitting on a bench looking at me with a kind warm small on his face.

P.O.V. change third

[Name] saw Velvet and smiled at her he usually did around her he just failed to notice. As she got closer he stood up and walked over to meet her half way. As they finally reached each other [Name] was the first to speak.

"So you thought it over?" He asked her. The response he got was a nod and a smile "I have and I w-would l-like this to be c-called a d-date." She said as her face heated up.

"O-okay th-then." [Name] wondered were that stutter had come from he didn't stutter. "W-well what do you want to do first?" [Name] asked.

"I don't know." The brunette said.

"Well we could just walk around and see of anything interesting pops up." [Name] said as he offered the girl his hand. She shyly took it and started to walk hand in hand with [Name].

P.O.V. Change [Name]

As I held Velvets hand I felt my face heat up and my heart pound just a bit harder. 'God' I thought to myself 'I know this is my first date and all but still I shouldn't feel like this should I?'

As I walked with her I saw something a little out of the ordinary it was a small stand. Their was a man behind it with a single coin on the counter. He also had several little prizes above his head.

I noticed Velvet seemed to have an interest in one of the prizes. I looked to where she was staring. She was staring at a blue penguin with a red bow tie and white sailor hat about a foot tall. 'I just know I'm going to regret doing this.' I thought to myself.

"How do we play." The man then looked at us and smiled. "The rules are simple I put a coin in my hand and you only have to guess what hand it's in." At this I raised an eyebrow "this is just to simple. There's got to be more he's not telling us."

"What's the catch?" I ask looking at the man. "You only get one guess." He said looking at us. "It's one dollar to play." He said a smile crawling on his face. I nodded and handed him the money.

He then picked up the coin and flicked it into the air. 'I remember this trick. My dad used to do it all the time.' As the coin went into the air I noticed Velvet followed the coin. I however never took my eyes off the man. As the coin fell back down and hit the counter.

The man smiled "alright now which hand is the coin in?" He asked raising both hands.

"It's in your left." I said the man then smiled and opened his hang to reveal a coin. "Correct." He said before he spoke "pick any prize you want your the first person to guess right all day."

I pointed to the penguin Velvet was staring at. He smiled got the stuffed animal and handed it to Velvet. He turned to me and said "I just assumed that's what you were going to do."

It was my turn to smile at the old man he was human and he seemed to have to no problem with me having romantic interest in a faunus. "You guessed correctly sir." He then smiled at us for the final time that day.

As we walked off I felt Velvet grab my hand again. I looked over to see her cheeks the slightest tint of rosey red. "Y-you didn't have to do that." I heard her weak voice say.

"I know but what kind of a man would I be if I didn't take act such a way for my date." I stated to which I heard the slightest squeak come from her. we walked until we found what we had originally came her for.

A small ice cream stand run by a faunus. So we had no problem getting the flavors we wanted. She got a chocolate while I got a [fav/flav]. She eat it very slow I was not as patient. I got some of my nose I could tell by two different give aways. One I could feel the cold miteral on my nose two Velvet was giggling.

'She has a cute laugh.' I thought to myself. As she just smiled at me. That was until she asked me a question. "Hey [Name]." She said looking at me. "Yeah" I asked.

"The when you won the penguin for me how did you know what hand it was it?" She asked.

I just chucled and said "my dad showed me that trick. First time I've ever seen someone other than him use it though."

I looked at her and said"here let me explain it's a really simple trick the person has two coins instead of one. One in front of him and one hidden in his hands the trick is you flick a the first coin up into the air to distrack the person. When the coin hits the counter again you hold up both hands and ask them which hand it's in."

"Then how did you know what hand it was in?" She asked looking at me.

"Well my dad used it so many times I found a fault in it." I then saw she was interested and continued to explain.

"You see if you look at them when they flick the coin up you can tell what hand the coins in by how long it takes the coin to hit the counter again. If it takes to long than you know it's it the other hand than the one they used to flick it with. If not than it's in that hand because they would have to flick it weakly to keep the consealed from falling out of place." I finished.

After that she nodded and we after finishing our ice cream just walked around. As the day progressed I slowly noticed all her nervousness just seeming melt away. I also found myself having a lot more fun with her than I had originally thought possible.

P.O.V. Change Velvet

After [Name] and I had started to walk around again I felt myself rapidly drawn to him. I don't know whether it was the fact that we were on a date or the fact that he had shown me so much kindness. All I knew was I felt as I could trust him.

We Must have lost track of time because before I knew it it was already starting to get dark.

"Hey [Name] it's getting dark." I said looking at the sky as I said this he to looked to the sky.

"Yeah you're right." He said turning to me. "well then my lovely Velvet let me walk you home." He said this offering me his hand. I took it and walked very close to him. For whatever reason when I was with him I was able to block out all the stares and cold remarks.

As we got to my dorm he looked at me and smiled shyly. He then scratched the back of his head while his face grew a couple of shades of red. "Would you want to . . . well you know . . . do this again some time?" He asked nervously.

"I'd like that." I said shyly feeling my face heat up.

He smiled at me and said "great what days works out for you?" He asked looking at me.

"Well I'm free Wednesday so how about that. I'll meet you in front just in the town square around four." I said hopefully.

"That sounds great." He said. He watched me as I entered my dorm and as soon as I shut the door. I could have sworen I heard him say "yes. Go me." As I went to the window to see him off I saw him sprinting with a smile on his face.

P.O.V. Change [Name]

As I ran home I felt good no that was an understatement I felt like I was king of the world. I could come home to my house burning down and that wouldn't stop me from feeling like this.

As opened my door I shut it behind me quiet hard I just felt so good I felt like doing something that took a lot of energy so I did I started doing a couple flips. 'Man I never knew I could feel so good.' I can't wait until Wednesday.'
