she had another reason for him to cut down trees, and this time, she was sure it would work.  she was going to try to tug at his heart strings. that was, if he had a heart.

"are you going to give me another reason to not cut down this tree?" he asked her, patting the oak tree he was leaning against. 

she nodded. 

"go ahead," he said, a smirk on his face. 

"the birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and other animals will lose their homes." she said confidently - sure that this reason would make him stop. 

"there are more trees - they could live in bushes." he shrugged. she huffed as he swung his axe into the oak tree, and she stormed off. 

she would get him to stop the next day, she was sure of it. absolutely sure of it.
