she came early the next day, and sat in the branch of the tree she thought he would cut next. she sat for a few minutes, before he showed up.

"what are you doing up there?" he yelled up to her. 

"sitting, so you won't cut the tree. if you do cut it, i will fall and get hurt, and i don't think you would like that." she explained.

"you're being foolish!" he yelled.

"no, i'm being persistant for what i want." she said, obviously miffed. 

he huffed this time, before turning around, and swinging his axe into the tree a few feet away. 

she angrily climbed down from the tree she was in, before storming out of the woods, giving up hope that he would stop.
