As the days continue I keep finding more things that are off. I feel like I don't know her and I blame myself. If I had saved her I wouldn't be having all these doubts and we'd be back home enjoying life.

(Y/n)'s POV

When I woke up I was in someone's house. I look around confused. Is this the same person that knocked me out?

I get up out of the bed and look around for a sigh of who the person is. I saw a picture of a boy and his parents. It's a cute picture. The boy is around 4, he as black hair and fair skin. His chubby cheeks filled with delight as his father holds him on his shoulder. How I wish Link and I could have a child.

"Hey!" I hear a voice. Frightened I jump back and drop the picture causing the frame to shatter on the floor. I look up and see a guy around my age. It's the boy from the picture. I immediately feel awful for dropping his picture frame.

"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry you scared me." I go to pick up the frame and glass shards before the guy nudges me and picks it up himself. "I didn't mean for it to break. He looks over at him, brown eyes quickly scan me.

"What were you doing out there?"

"I- I don't know. I woke up out there."

"You were almost killed."

"I know." I smile. "And I'm very grateful that you saved me. But I have to get home." I say. "Which way is Hyrule castle?"

"You're royalty?"

"I'm the royal knights wife. I'm sure you've seen posters of me, I've been missing for almost a week."

"No, no one is looking for you." I stare at him in confusion.

"What do you mean no one is looking for me?! Link must be worried sick."

"Look lady, no one has come looking. No town has posters, no one knows your missing." I feel broken. How?? Why aren't they?! Are they thinking of a plan? Yeah. Links probably trying to come up with a plan to sneak into the monsters hideout.

"Look, I don't know why they-"

"No ones looking for you because you're at the castle." He cuts me off.

"What?"

"You were brought to the castle after nearly drowning."

"No, I'm right here." I say.

"Then who's at the castle?"

"Who? I don't know!! I'm here! Please, help me get back." I say. "I'll give you rupees, whatever you want but please... I need to get back."

"It's quite a trip. About 2 days."

"That's fine I just need to get back." I have an imposter. What are their plans?! What do they want with me? Or with Link. Is it one of the shapeshifters we found in the woods? Whatever the case I have to get back. And soon.

Links POV

Today was a patrol day for me. It was boring as usual. Just talking to the townsfolk making sure everything is going smoothly in the town.

That night I walked back to the room. After a long day of work and nonsense I get back to the room exhausted and toss myself onto the bed.

I don't remember falling asleep but I did. I woke up the next morning to (Y/n) rubbing my chest. "Good morning." I mumble.

"Good morning." She says. "Any plans for today?"

"Office work." I sigh and rub my face. "Then sleep." I smile at her.

"Always sleeping." She pouts. I frown, she's usually understanding and knows how tired I am after a long day.

"I'm sorry, but you know I tired I get." She lifts an eyebrow before getting off the bed and heading into the bathroom. I really don't know share gotten into her lately. It's irritating. She's not acting like the (Y/n) I know. I sigh and lay back down. I then get up and get dressed before going to the watchtower and starting my patrol shift.
