Throughout the days Link and I went out to explore. We left the kitty inside since she was too small to go out and wander. We would spend hours wandering out in the woods, once we found a dirty lake and afterwards both Link and I started puking when we got back to the cabin.

Today we were wandering around a new forest we found. We spent what felt like the whole day wandering around. Eventually we both started feeling tired and decided to start heading back to the cabin. That is until we realized we didn't know where that was, and the sun was starting to set.

The mosquitos were starting to come out and bite us as we walked through the dense forest.

"Baby I'm sorry, we might have to spend the night out here." Link turned to face me with a saddened face.

"That's fine, I'm just worried about Missy."

"Missy? Is that her name?" I nodded. "Alright.. let's put up our tent." He slid his bag off his shoulders and placed it on the ground. I grabbed my lantern and placed it on a tree branch near us. I helped him put up the tent then placed our sleeping bags and lantern inside. We put our bags out on some trees and crawled into the tent.

"Darling I'm sorry I got us lost."

"It's ok. It's part of the adventure." I told him. He chuckled and kissed my cheek.

"Goddamn you're so perfect, how'd I get so lucky?" He hugged me tightly and kissed my cheeks and neck repeatedly. I laughed as he continued to tickle me.

"Link stop! I'm gonna pee!" I laughed uncontrollably.

"Alright, lets sleep." He laid on top of me. I laughed and sighed deeply.

"Babe get off, your crushing me." We both laughed.

"You calling me fat?" He hovered over me.

"No!" I laughed. "I'm just fragile." He chuckled and kissed me.

"Oh, my precious baby.. I love you so much, don't ever forget it. I'll spank that ass if you ever do." He smirked and squeezed a handful of my butt. I giggled as he kissed my neck. His hair tickled my neck and I pushed it back.

"Babe you need a haircut." I twirled a strand of his hair on my finger.

"You don't like it long?"

"I like it. It's just a bit too long." It was past his shoulders now. He hadn't cut it in almost 4 months, it was really surprising how fast his hair grew. "You should cut it like you always do." I said.

"Fine, just for you." He kissed me. I smiled.

"Now get off, I wanna sleep." I pat his chest. He rolled off me onto his back. He kissed my cheek and hugged me.

"Fine Mrs. Wet Blanket." I laughed. "Sweet dreams my angel."

"Goodnight."

While we slept I was woken up by the sound of footsteps outside our tent. I looked over at Link and he was still in a deep sleep. There was a silhouette of someone wandering outside the tent and I doubt Link had noticed. I rubbed his chest to wake him up.

"Babe.." I softly whispered hoping they wouldn't hear me. "Link.. wake up." He groaned and turned away from me. Oh you ass. "Link!" I shook him a bit harder.

"What?" He mumbled.

"I think there's someone outside." I whispered and pointed to outside the tend. He looked outside then grabbed his sword.

"Stay here." He unzipped the tent and slid out. Why did I have to stay? I swear if someone comes for me I will die. I sat in the tent in the middle of those dark woods. The lantern inside the ten started flickering.

"Oh nonono! Don't go out!" Staying alone is fine, as long as there's light. My fear was made worse when I heard leaves crunching outside. "Link?! Is that you?" No answer. "Link you're not funny." The leaves continued crunching as the person got closer. I could see their shadow right outside the tent. "Link stop it! You're freaking me out." The thought that it wasn't Link was consuming my mind. Slowly I grabbed my dagger from under my pillow and waited for them to try and enter. Slowly the zipper to the tent started unzipping. My heart was racing as the flap started opening.

"HEY!!" I heard Links distant voice. The person looked back and then darted into the woods. Their footsteps started fading as Link set his lantern down and unzipped the tent and looked at me. "Are you ok?" He asked.

"Yeah." Other than the fact that my heart was beating a million beats per second and I could hear it beating I was fine. There were more leave crunching and Link looked up.

"Who's out there?!" Link stood up and pulled out his sword. Whoever it was stayed out of the light. I decided that if Link was going to fight to protect me I'd fight to protect him as well. So I slid out of the tent and turned my back to Link. We both looked around trying to catch a glimpse of whoever it was. We circled around making sure to stay vigilant.

Out of the darkness we heard what sounded like some native language. Link and I glanced at each other in confusion and looked to where the voices were coming from. There sounded to be at least 5 people around us.

Leave started crunching as one of the people entered the light. It looked like a woman. She was wearing a tribal mask and holding a wooden spear. Link stood in front of my protectively. The woman grabbed her mask and started to slowly slide it off. My heart was pounding even faster than before, I'm sure Links was too. Finally when her mask was fully off we just stared at each other..

"Mom??"

Guys omg I'm literally so sorry I haven't uploaded in forever. So much is happening, school is beating me up and my dogs epilepsy is getting worse and omg I'm so stressed and I feel like suffocated but it's ok cause I'm on winter break so it's time for some self care:)) Anyways I hope you enjoyed this chapter hehe, question for you is... are you looking out for your mental health?
