Final test
When I wake up I'm inside a dark cave. I can't see anything around me, I could only feel the rock wall I was leaning against. There was nothing next to me or in front of me. No bars no chains on me. Just the rock and the dark abyss in front of me.
"Link?" I whisper. No reply. "LINK?!" The only answer I get is my own voice echoing back to me. Fear washes over me. "Link??" I get up and try walking but I just walk into the cave walls. I get up and place my hands on the walls as I walk to make sure I don't bump into anything. I can hear water dripping from the ceiling and dripping onto the floor.
The cave is cold, I'm cold. I need to start a fire, the clothes I'm wearing aren't good enough for this temperature. I continue to walk through the cold dark cave trying to listen for any sound of another person.
I don't know how long I've been walking for, theres no way to tell time here. I feel like I'm going insane. There's no sound, no light, no one else but me.
What the hell are those demons and why did they bring me here? What do they was with us and why separate us?! I'm sure they're watching me.
I feel the air get thicker, like smoke or some sort of gas. I put my hand over my mouth and use my sleeve as a makeshift filter for the gas. It doesn't help, I start coughing. My head feels loose on my shoulders and my knees feel wobbly. I fall onto my knees and continue coughing. I feel my eyes close. I fall onto my side, consciousness starts slipping from me and I black out.

When I wake up I feel a chain around my leg. It's still dark but the ground seems smoother. I get up and try to feel around but I can't feel anything other than the smooth floor.
Lights turn on above me and continue to flash on in a line in front of me. I see I'm in a glass cage. In front of me, outside the cage I can see Link. He's laying on the ground with his sword in hand. There's blood around him.
"LINK!!" I shout. He doesn't seem to hear. This glass is pretty thick.
Wake up Link, this is the final level of our game. A voice says. It seems to be coming from everywhere. Link can barely move. Wake up Link. The voice turns more demonic. Or your wife dies. My heart sinks. Link says something but it sounds muffled. I can't understand it. Whatever the voice said made Link eagerly stand up, he desperately looked around around he saw me. I saw him mouth my words but I couldn't hear it. He ran over to the glass cage, worry spread on his face.
"Are you ok?" I saw him mouth. I nod.
"I can't hear you." I say. I motion to my ear and shake my head.
"I'm gonna get you out of here." He mouthed. I smile. "I love you." Be leaned his forehead on the glass and I did the same. He looks back up at me.
"I love you too." He looks up then back. I look over his shoulder as well and see something I'd never seen before. It has horse like hooves and a lion like head. Is that a Lynel?! Link looks up again as the voice starts talking, this time I can hear.
You have 2 minutes to defeat this creature using only one weapon, if you don't succeed your wife drowns. I feel cold water at my feet. I gasp and Link looks over at me before running off to fight the giant creature. It's silver fur glistens in the building lights. I pull at the chain on my leg trying to pull it out of the ground. I can feel the water slowly rising.
My heart is pounding, every now and then I glance over at Link. He's trying so hard to defeat this giant creature but all he has is a sword, no shield, no bow. The beast keeps blocking his blows and I can feel Link getting desperate. I'm trying to pull this chain off my leg but it barely budges and the water keeps rising. It's to the point I can't sit and pull on the chain any more. The icy water is almost to my hips. I lean against the glass as I continue to yank on the chain. Tears creep into my eyes and I feel myself become weaker as I begin to cry. The water keeps rising and now I'm terrified.
Link is no where near killing the Lynel and the water is almost to my shoulders. I still have so much space to float, if the chains weren't holding me down.
Link and I make eye contact, he looks just as scared as me. The water inches it's way up my neck and my breathing is hitched. I'm trying to take deep breaths but fear won't let me. The water reaches my neck and I stand on my toes so I can take a few more breaths before I'm completely consumed in water.
The dreaded time arrives, I take one large breath and now I'm completely underwater. I can't see through the water so I just pray Link kills this thing before I'm out of breath.
Not long after my lungs feel like they're shriveling up. I try my hardest to not breath but I can't hold it much longer. I cough and take in gulps and gulps of water. I'm coughing and gagging as the only thing coming into my lungs is water. I can feel them burning but I can't stop. Total fear consumes me. Is this it? This is how I go? I can recall every moment I've had with Link, the good and bad. Zelda, my mother, my brother and father. It can't end like this!! I don't wanna die like this! There's still so much I haven't done! Was Link really not able to save me? I hope he knows I'm not mad at him for it. I know he didn't want this to happen, and I love him. Always.
I can feel my lungs completely filled with water. My body twitches a few times before everything goes dark.
