The next morning Link woke me up so early the sun wasn't even up. I was having second thoughts on even going to that castle, but I saw how happy it made Link thinking about me going. He was gathering all our materials and clothes for the trip to the castle while I woke up and got dressed. He even got Eva saddled up for me. Once I was dressed I went outside and saw Link saddling Epona. "Hey gorgeous." He said. "You're finally up."

"Shut up." I groaned. He laughed as I dragged my way over Eva. The air was cold and the stars were still very visible. "How much sleep did we even get?" I yawned.

"About 3 hours." He said while mounting Epona. "Lets go." I sighed and hopped onto Eva.

We made our way out of the village and down the mountain.

By the time we reached the bridge after dueling peaks Link didn't follow the trails. We just cut straight through Hyrule Field. The sun was beginning to rise as we passed which was gorgeous. The sky was a beautiful orange and yellow color. The land was flat and empty which was so peaceful. The rhythmic sound of the horses running and the chirping of birds made it all so much better.  Once we began approaching the town there were many small ruins of what used to be homes. It was sad to see.

Soon we were in front of the town entrance and the sun was high up in the sky. I had never been to castle town before. In the center was a beautiful fountain and all around were some buildings that needed to be finished. Although the town was still in ruins it was quiet a sight to see. The castle itself was enormous, I never imagined it would be this big.

Link looked around for a bit while I admired the beautiful town. There were dead guardians scattered around and some strange goop that some people were cleaning up off of the buildings and such. He then lead Epona to the right so I followed with Eva. He then got off of Epona and I got off of Eva. Some men in knights armor came and took our horses to what I'm guessing are the stables. "Princess!" He called out to a girl up ahead. She looked gorgeous from behind. Long blond hair, a slender body. I'm wondering why Link would've run off from his job as her knight.

When she turned around I swear I almost had a heart attack. She's pregnant! Link stopped when he noticed her baby bump as well. "Hey Link! It's been a while since I've seen you." She hugged him. She then saw me and smiled. "Hi." She walked towards me. I bowed not knowing what else to do. She laughed. "No need, the kingdom is still a wreck." Her voice was so sweet, I never would've imagined it from her. "What might your name be?"

"(Y/n)." I said.

"Zelda, no offense but what happened?" Link exclaimed. She looked back at him.

"You don't remember?" She turned to me and rolled her eyes. "He's so forgetful isn't he?" I laughed nervously. "After you defeated Ganon. When we had our 'celebration'." She laughed. I didn't. I forgot how to breath at that point. Link never told me they had a thing.

"Are you saying that's my kid." Link pointed at her stomach.

"Duh, who else?" She gently pat her stomach. "You know you've been gone for so long. We missed you." She walked over and hugged him. Link just stared at me. I felt my heart break into so many pieces that it became powder. Why didn't he tell me about this? I didn't want to be there anymore.

Links POV

I stared at (Y/n) as Zelda hugged me. She was about to cry and I didn't know what to do about it. "Zelda there's no way that's my kid. I killed Ganon almost a year ago, wouldn't it have been born by now?"

"It may seem like a year to you, it's been only a few months. Come on let's celebrate in the castle." She turned to face (Y/n).

"Zelda I'm sorry but that's not my kid you're pregnant with."

"How dare you say that Link!" She said and slapped me. Goddamn it hurt. I looked over at (Y/n) again who was walking off after the horses.

"(Y/n) wait! I can explain!"

"No!" She turned around. She was crying. "Congrats on the baby." She wiped her tears and continued to walk away.

"Who is she?" Zelda kept holding onto me.

"She's my girlfriend. So excuse me but I have to talk to her." I pried her hands off me and ran after (Y/n). I knew she was hurt and most likely furious with me. But I swear to her Zelda's kid isn't mine. Sure I did sleep with her but the pregnancy doesn't add up. I killed Ganon last spring, and it's spring right now.

I saw (Y/n) and grabbed her arm trying to get her to stop but she yanked her arm away. "Baby listen to me." I grabbed her arm again. And just like that I was slapped again. It was like a damn snakebite.

"Don't fucking call me that. Just leave me alone!!" She hissed and turned around.

"(Y/n) stop and listen to me!" She stopped and turned around. Tears were streaming down her cheeks.

"Why? You wanna tell me about you two and how you're together and I was just this little side bitch of yours? Or do you want to fucking explain why you didn't tell me you got the princess of Hyrule pregnant?!" She yelled at me. I had never seen her this angry before.

"(Y/n) I didn't know anything until now, and I'm sorry I didn't tell you about what we used to have. But Zelda doesn't mean anything to me. I love you."

"Save it." She growled. "I don't want to hear another word." She sighed. "Now, I'm gonna got get Eva. Her and I are going to ride home, and I'm gonna gather all of my things and move in with my mom so you can live here with the princess and your kid and forget all about me. Because you know what? I hate you." She glared at me. My heart broke.

"You don't mean that." I could feel my heart continuing to shatter. But I also had to tell myself she's mad, and I know from experience that when people are mad they say things they regret.

"Yes I do Link. I hate you and I don't want to see you ever again. Our entire relationship was a fucking mistake." She cried.

"Don't say that. Don't you ever say that cause you know damn well I love you. And I'm sorry this happened but I will fix it."

"Fuck you." She hissed and went to turn around.

"No! We are not done talking!" I yelled and turned her around. She seemed surprised. "I'm not going to let you walk away like this."

"Yes you are because I am done talking." She yanked her arm away from me. "Have fun with your family Link."

"(Y/n) that's not my fucking kid she's pregnant with! Why don't you believe me?"

"Because it's really fucking hard to!!" She frowned. "So let me go cause I hate you!" I couldn't breath. I couldn't do anything. My stomach churned and my heart hurt.

"(Y/n) please don't go!" My eyes began to tear up. She kept on walking didn't turn back.
