I was woken from my nightmare by a loud thud next to my bed followed by a groan. I looked down and saw Link laying on the ground. I looked up and saw his blankets hanging from the bed.

"Did you fall?" I rubbed my eyes.

"Yeah." He sat up. "Scoot over please." He got up. I scooted towards the wall and he got under the sheets with me. I giggled as I thought about him falling from the bed. "What."

"Nothing. Go to sleep." I snuggled into his arms.

"Babe it's daytime. Don't you want to leave?"

"How?"

"I have some horses boarded at the stable near here. We can go get Eva and Epona then go home and you can sleep as long as you want." He kissed my nose.

"Hmm." I wanted to sleep. The thought of going back hadn't really crossed my mind. "When? I'm tired." I yawned.

"Now. It's best to leave early so we can get back quickly." Yikes. Did I really want to leave this comfy bed at this moment? No. Did he? Probably not. But I did want to go back home and be with Eva.

"Alright." I smiled. "Lets get going."

We hopped out of bed and started getting things ready for the journey. Link bought some bags and food and then we left the building.

We walked through the desert again, but this time we weren't dying. I still didn't enjoy the heat, but the dunes were nice to look at. Soon we reached a canyon and started walking through it until we reached a stable. I sat down at a chair while he got the horses. I was sweating because of the heat so I decided to take off one of the shirts I had on and kept the thin one I had under. I wrapped it around my waist and waited for Link to get back.

I heard horses and looked up to see Link walking towards me with two horses. One was all black with one white spot on its forehead, unlike Eva who was black with white legs and mane. And the other was a cream color with white legs and mane. He handed me to reins to the black horse and I got up. 

"This is Domino. He's kinda feisty but all my horses are." I laughed. I pat Dominos forehead before mounting him. Link got on his horse and we continued out of the canyon. Domino was such a beautiful horse. I had never been on another horse other than Eva. I felt like I was cheating on her. I was so tired from waking up so early. I didn't sleep well last night due to nightmares.

"Babe are you tired?" Link asked. I nodded and yawned. "How about we go straight home and I can go get the horses."

"You sure?"

"Yeah." I smiled at him.

"Alright. Thanks."

We rode over bridges and through the plains. It was already night and we hadn't stopped riding. I didn't want to stop I just wanted to get home.

More hours went by and the sun was starting to rise. We were close to Hateno Village and I was so exhausted I could barely sit straight. We trotted up the hill to the village. After a few more minutes we reached the entrance of the village. I was barely awake while we walked up the hill. I looked ahead to the village and saw kids playing and people walking around. I then saw a familiar face. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I wad certain of what I was seeing.

"Mom?!" I called out. Link and I looked at each other .The woman turned around and like I suspected it was my mother.

"(Y/n)??" She was holding a basket of clothes. I hopped off of Domino and ran over to her. She held me tightly and kissed my cheek.

"Mom what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I left your father and a costumer told me about a house here. What are you going here?"

"I live here, with Link." I pointed behind me to Link who was getting off of his horse.

"Link?" She looked over me and I looked back to see him give us a wave. "That cute blond boy from the stable."

"Yeah." I smiled. I turned around and saw Link heading towards us with the horses.

"Hello ma'am." He held his arm out for my mom to shake.

"Mom I'd like you to meet Link, my boyfriend." She smiled.

"Nice to meet you." She shook his hand.

"When did you get here?" I asked.

"A few days ago. Let's go inside, we haven't talked in so long."

"Alright." I started walking with her.

"Babe I'm gonna go get the horses."

"Right now?"

"Yeah." He smiled. "It was nice meeting you ma'am." He waved at my mom and kissed me before leaving with both horses. As I walked with my mom I noticed she was heading towards Manny's old house.

"Is this where you live?" I asked walking up the steps.

"Yeah, isn't it nice?" She opened the door and we walked in. It was fairly empty. All there was in the house was a bed and dining table. The kitchen didn't have much food and there weren't many decorations. "How have you been sweetie?"

"Uh, I've been pretty ok. Link and I have been traveling and stuff."

"Sounds fun. He seems like a nice kid." She said while putting the clothes down on the table. I smiled.

"He is. I've never met anyone else like him." I sat down on the dining table.

"How did you two even meet? I don't remember seeing him at the stable."

"When I was running away I ran into some trouble. He saved my life then saved Eva's." I sighed remembering the days. "After that we decided to travel together and now we're dating.. and I couldn't be happier." I swung my legs as they dangled from the table.

"I'm glad to hear. Where is he anyways?"

"He went to get Eva and Epona from the stable."

"How sweet of him." She said while folding the clothes. "Where is his house anyways?"

"It's up the hill with all the new houses and across the bridge." I sighed. "Speaking of houses, I'm exhausted from being up all night. I'm gonna head on home and sleep."

"Alright sweetie. I'll see you tomorrow then."

"Yeah." I hopped off the table and walked out. The air was getting warmer as the sun rose. Kids were still running and playing around. I made my way across the bridge and walked inside. I slid my shoes off while walking up the stairs and jumped into the comfy bed. I slid under the sheets and faced the wall.

Although I was tired I couldn't sleep. I tossed and turned but I kept getting this eerie feeling. It was like being back in Kohgas room, tied to that bed. I sat up on the bed wondering when Link would get back. Since I wasn't able to sleep I thought about what to do. I had already read every book Link owns. I decided to take a shower and think about what to make for dinner.

I wanted to make something fancy, a recipe that a traveler told me about for some gourmet steak. I went to the store to buy the ingredients and improvised with some. When I started making the food I didn't realize it would take so long to cook. I'm sure hours had gone by and Link still wasn't home. I enjoyed solitude up to a point.

After another hour I heard some footsteps outside that went the stalls. I was serving the food onto the plate when the door opened. I picked it up and turned around with a big smile. Link looked surprised.

"What's this?" He asked grabbing the plate.

"Dinner." I said while serving my plate. "Do you not want it?" I asked.

"Of course I do." I heard him set the plate down. "You're food is always delicious." He hugged me from behind and kissed my neck. I laughed.

"Go sit down." I told him. He chuckled and walked to the table. I walked to the table with my plate and sat down across from him.

We started eating the steak and vegetables. I was surprised about how it turned out, this was the first time I had ever cooked this dish. We didn't talk much, we were more focused on the food and staying awake. Once we finished I grabbed our plates.

"Thanks for the meal baby."

"Your welcome." I began to clean up the plates and kitchen. I heard Link get up and walk over to me.

"I'll finish cleaning up, go lie down."

"I can finish. Go clean yourself up." I turned and sniffed him. "You stink." I laughed.

"Fine." He chuckled. "Don't go to sleep without me." He started walking off.

"I'll try." I yawned. It took about 20 minutes for me to finish cleaning up the kitchen and table and once I did I went upstairs and lied down in the bed waiting for Link.

I heard the bathroom door open and Link walking around downstairs. The kitchen lights were turned off and soon his footsteps were coming up the stairs. He smiled as he got under the sheets with me. "You look exhausted." He kissed my cheek." I took a moment to admire him. His wet hair clumped together, and his mesmerizing blue eyes.

"I am." I replied and closed my eyes.

"Before you go to bed I'd like to tell you something."

"What?" I mumbled. My eyes were barely open and I found it getting harder to keep them open.

"While I was getting the horses I ran into a messenger from the castle. The Princess wants to see me tomorrow at the castle about something."

"Ok, and..?"

"Why don't you come with me?" He suggested.

"Me? At the castle?" He nodded.

"I mean eventually you'll have to go anyways." He smiled.

"Alright."
