Lilly's POV

We orbed in and I turned around to see Mel standing behind me. "Woohoo!" I yelled. Then I started to go into another room. I saw more witches and magical beings in there. Most of whom know Melinda. "Hey guys Melinda's back!" I yelled. They all ran in. "So is there anything you need?" I asked her.

"No I'm fine. I think I'll go home pretty soon. Start my job again."

"But you just got back."

"Yes, but I've been out of the loop way too long. I'll be fine. I'm going to head in. See you guys tomorrow okay?"

"Fine. See ya." She orbed out. I didn't approve of it but if that's what she wanted then it was fine.

-Line Break-

The next day Mel orbed in looking better than ever. "Hey guys!" "Hey!" We responded. "I was wondering if I could meet some of the new witches?"

"Sure"

Mel's POV

I'd spent way too much time in that place. Last night I cast a cloaking spell on my apartment and hid my identity from anybody non witch or evil. I'm sure some of you are wondering what my job is. I am a bounty hunter. But, the good kind. I find witches families and reunite them. My second job is getting the witches hidden and secure so we can get them back into the world but safely. Like how some will just discover their powers, I help them control their powers and know how to stay off the grid.

I've heard of this new girl and have decided to help her first. I look around and see her. She is pretty. She's got curly blonde hair and brown eyes. And walk over to start.

3rd Person POV

Mel walks over to the girl with curly blonde hair and sits down next to her. She smiles warmly and says, "Hello, my name is Melinda. What's yours?" the girl looks at Melinda warily, "My names Katherine Mitchell. Everyone calls me Kat." The girl says.

"Hello." Melinda looks at Kat with a curious glance inspecting her.

"Is something wrong?" Kat asks noticing Melinda's staring.

"I'm sorry. It's just your last name sounds so familiar to me but it's probably nothing." Melinda says shaking off the curiosity, "So Kat how old are you?"

"19"

"Me too. Do you have any family? Parents? Siblings?"

"Why?"

"My job is to find those people and tell them that you're okay. Make sure they know that. Well, that and see if they're witches."

"Oh well, I have a dad. My mom died when I was young, she was a witch-white lighter. And I have a twin sister, Tam, she's magical too." Melinda nodded.

"Where are they?"

"They live in an apartment on the corner of Brown and Edernal. Apartment 13C."

"Okay here's the deal Kat. I'm going to make sure you're dad knows you're okay and I'm going to bring your sister here."

"Okay." Melinda turns to leave. "Hey Mel?"

"Yeah?" Mel turns back around to face Kat.

"Thank you. Why are you doing this for me?"

"It's my job. I don't have any family and I want to help people find theirs, And who knows, maybe along the way I'll find mine." She smiles and orbs out. Kat looks surprised.

-Line Break-

Mel appears outside of apartment 13C on Brown and Edernal. She knocks. A girl comes to the door who looks almost exactly like Kat. "Daddy!" she calls out behind her. A tall man in a cops outfit comes to the door. "Can I help you?" he asks. "I know where Katherine is." Melinda responds. The man motions her in. Melinda walks in warily but once she's in the man slams the door shut and grabs hold of Mel's neck. "What have you done with my daughter?"

"Nothing. She has powers. She's a witch. She's in a safe place." Melinda starts to choke. The man lets go. "Fine I believe you. But who are you?"

"I could ask you the same question."

"Names Henry. Henry Mitchell. Now you."

"Melinda."

"Got a last name Melinda?"

"Yes. I just don't use it often."

"What is it? Tell me or I call backup. Don't think I won't. And this house is magic proof. You can't use your powers here." Tam is standing behind her father watching Melinda with a wandering glare.

"Fine. It's Halliwell. Melinda Halliwell." Henry takes a sharp inhale of breath. And hugs Melinda. She struggles and protests, "Hey what's the big deal. Get off of me!" She shoves him off. "Sorry. Melinda you're my niece." Melinda looks at him with a scared glare. "What are you talking about? My family is dead."

"Not me. Your Aunt Paige was my wife before she died. She had Tam and Kat before she left. I remember you when you were little. Wow, you've grown up so much."

"Uncle Henry?" Mel asked with a look of realization on her face and smiles. "Oh my gosh. I thought you died." Mel then looks at Tam, "Tam, Tamora." Tam smiles back broadly.

"I thought that you were in the citadel for a while."

"How did you know that?" Mel asked with a questioning look on her face.

"Oh you were. Well my partner, Casey, she said she brought some girl in named Melinda and sent her off. When I heard that I thought it was you." Then there was a loud bang at the door. Tam, Henry and Melinda turned their heads sharply. "Police! Open up!" A loud, muffled voice yelled through the door. "They're here for me. I orbed here. They must've picked up the trail." Mel said frantically. "Then both of you need to get out of here now." Henry said and kissed and hugged his daughter good bye. "But I don't want to leave you Daddy." Tam said in a weak voice. "You have to Tam. It's the only way to keep everyone safe" Melinda responded sharply. She grabbed Tam's hand and tried to orb out but it wouldn't work. She stared around panically.

"I told you. This house is magic proof." Henry said.

"You were being serious."

"Yes. Here." He picked up a crystal. "Now you should be able to go. Just don't orb they'll track you from here. Get out of the house first."

"How are we supposed to do that?" More loud banging at the door.

"Here. Hide in the kitchen and move on my signal." Tam and Mel nodded and ran to the kitchen and hid under a table with an unusually long cloth on it. "Hello, how can I help you?" Henry asked from the room.

"We picked up an orbing signature here. You wouldn't happen to know what that is?" A police officer stated.

"Nope. Sorry."

"Really? I think you do know. I think you're harboring witches here. And you know what the punishment for that is." Henry looked around with a stern face. "Death!" The police officer yelled. Melinda and Tamora hear thumping and screams. Then there is a gunshot and everything is quiet. Henry's lifeless body falls to the ground just outside the table. Tamora is about to cry out for him when a demon appears behind the girls and shimmers them out.
