Redo
Jungkook's POV-
He really did plan for us to redo our first date and it was the sweetest, most thoughtful thing ever. He said that he wanted to replace the bad memories of how our first date ended with the memory of good date and he was definitely achieving that. In fact, it's been far beyond good. It's been perfect.
After we left the apartment our first activity was another type of creative class but this time it was for flower arranging .
It wasn't something I would have expected from Yoongi and when I brought up how creative the idea was he told me that Jimin had actually given him the idea.
This made a lot more sense because Jimin adores flowers and would love something like this, but surprisingly Yoongi and I did too.
It was so interesting to learn about the different types of common and rare flowers alike and what their meanings are.
We each did small arrangements of our own and then did a larger piece together and it was unexpectedly tantalizing. This aspect was not intentional I assume, but it was quite hard to concentrate at times.
Working so closely with Yoongi would have been difficult for me anyway but having to watch how delicate and gentle he was as he worked to place and form the different flowers was mesmerizing and honestly, such a turn on.
It was a bit uncomfortable getting aroused in an evening workshop with strangers around, but I couldn't help it. I also couldn't look away from him. Even now while we've been having dinner I've been distracted by him.
I'll ask him a question which he will proceed to answer, by the time he is done speaking through, I have missed everything he's said.
I keep staring at his lips, or how his hands look as he wraps his fingers around his chopsticks or the way he tilts his head back when he takes a sip from his glass. I think he may be even prettier now than he was the day I first saw him.
My heart swoons when I think back on the first day when I unknowingly met Yoongi. Not even those glasses could distract me from his pretty features that day in the café.
He was and is so pretty and got and sexy and just, everything. With his porcelain skin and the way his pink lips pout when he speaks just like they are now-
Oh shit. I blink a few times as I attempt to refocus my thoughts.
"I'm sorry, what did you say?"
He studies my face closely with concerned eyes. "Are you okay? That's not the first time tonight that you've stared at me without speaking or answering. Is your head okay? Does it hurt?"
I chuckle as I shake my head. "Oh, this has nothing to do with my head. I promise I feel fine." I give him a reassuring smile as I reach for his hand. "Although, that would be a much better excuse than what the real reason is. So maybe I should just lie and say yes." I giggle.
"You're sure?" He asks with concern as his eyes continue to study my face closely.
I let out a sigh as I stare deeper into his eyes. He's more worried than he is showing in his expression which makes me feel bad. I don't want him to feel bad.
"It's so cheesy and you're going to make fun of me, but if it will make you feel better... You're distracting me. I can't focus on what you're saying because I keep getting distracted by you.
"I don't want you to think I don't think you look good all the time, but you look so good. No, not just good, ethereal! I can't focus properly on what you are saying and I apologize. So, if you will be so kind as to repeat once more what it is you asked I will try to pay closer attention."
I laugh a little harder at the pink tint of his cheeks as he gives a quick nod.
"T-thank you. Um," he clears his throat as he tries to collect himself. "I just asked if you could finish telling me what you were going to say at the company earlier. You didn't get to finish answering my question about why you won't sing for me."
"It's not that I won't, I just didn't want you to take it the wrong way if I sang for you."
He tilts his head in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"I love dancing the most, but I do enjoy singing as well. After I found out who you were and especially about how people have tried to use and take advantage of you in the past, I was nervous that if you knew I liked to sing or heard me sing you would think that I was out to get a record deal or something.
"I didn't want you to have any reason to doubt my intentions in any way, so I just didn't sing around you. If you want me to sing for you I'm okay with that, I mean I'd still be a little embarrassed but I would feel better if you asked to hear me than for me to just sing because then I can have a sense of relief that you won't think I'm using you..."
The whole time I've been talking I've been looking down at my glass while I swirl the liquid around. As s I move my eyes back to him I see that he has leaned back in his chair with his hands down in his lap. His head is tilted still and his eyes are narrowed a little.
Oh no, did I say something wrong? I begin to panic and try to back track.
"Please don't think I'm trying to do anything because-"
"Kook." He says in a serious tone as he continues to stare at me.
"Yes?" I say meekly.
"You are far too good for me." He says as his serious expression softens. "You are the very last person I would suspect of using me. You know that."
"I know and I'm glad. I only ever want to make you happy. You deserve to be happy." I smile.
"I don't know if I deserve it, but you make me happier than I have ever been." He bites his lips as he tilts his head slightly before he continues. "I am not a relationship type of person. I was damaged goods when you came into my life and you have done nothing but improve it since I met you. No one I have ever loved has cared for me as much as you do."
"I am so grateful to have met you. I know you have been so badly hurt in the past, I hope that I can be someone you feel safe with. I know you have become my safe place."
He smiles at me as he reaches for my hand. "Kook, I-"
Just then the owners of the restaurant make their way into the dining area where we are sat. Yoongi and I stand up and bow to them as we thank them for being so kind as to take care of us after hours.
Yoongi didn't want there to be any chance of interference on our perfect night so he paid to close down a small restaurant that Tae and Jimin had introduced to me that quickly became one of my favorite places.
They don't usually stay open this late but I gathered from Yoongi that since myself and Tae are frequent customers, the owners quickly recognized Tae when he approached them about getting this date set up, and they easily agreed.
The place is even decorated a little differently. The light seems to glow more dimly, tables were cleared out so it feels more open and there are tea lights placed around the table that was set for us that aren't usually here.
And of course, the bouquet that we made is being displayed in a vase close to where we are sat along with more flowers.
"Thank you so much. Everything was delicious." Yoongi smiles as he shakes the gentleman's hand.
"You are welcome. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be a part of your special night." Mr Lee winks at Yoongi. "We just came to see if there was anything else we might be able to do for you."
I take a step towards him. "Everything was perfect! Thank you so much."
"You are a beautiful couple." Mrs Lee says to us with a kind smile.
I smile at her as she turns her full attention to Yoongi. "We have the front door locked up and have instructed your driver that he could bring the car around the back. Otherwise," he reaches into her pocket and hands Yoongi a folded up piece of paper "You take your time whenever you are done. Everything is ready."
He nods and takes her hand in both of his as he bows his head and thanks her. The interaction is so sweet, but I can't help but be left a little confused as to what is going on.
"It's a beautiful night out. Enjoy." She smiles at me before they say their last goodbyes and leave the dining room.
"How are you feeling?" Yoongi asks as we turn back to the table.
"I feel amazing. It's been a wonderful night Yooni. I feel so special!" I turn towards him and catch his hand that was at his side in mine "Thank you for everything. Tonight has been so perfect."
"It's not quite over yet actually. You up for one last adventure?"
I nod eagerly as he helps me out on my jacket and I help him with his.
"Great." He says with a big smile.
...
An observatory. He took me to an observatory. It was just outside of the city where the lights wouldn't interfere too much with the view of the stars above. I was speechless.
We went to an observatory on a trip in elementary school once but it was the middle of the day, so tonight being able to see the night sky through Mr Lee's very nice telescope, it was possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
My breath was stolen out of my lungs so many times. It was gorgeous and we were able to see some planets and plenty of constellations which Yoongi asked about and wanted to know the stories behind. It was wonderful and the perfect way to end the night.
Once we were done looking at the beautiful sky and we were back in the car on our way to the city I asked him how he got access to an observatory. When we got there it was locked and he had to punch in a code to get in and it wasn't very large so I would imagine it might not be open to the public.
"You saw that piece of paper Mrs Lee gave me?"
I nod, still a bit puzzled.
"The observatory is theirs. She gave me the code so we could use it. Tae had spoken with Mr Lee and while learning more about him he found out that he went to school to be an astronomer and actually has a degree in it.
"He was even a Professor for a few years at the University. Tae brought up that you love star gazing and he offered to let us come up and use it. He said it doesn't get much use these days and he would be happy to have someone be able to enjoy it."
I can't believe it! What a perfect way to end the night... well almost perfect.
"Yooni?" I say a bit shyly.
"Hm." he hums as he looks out the window to his right at the passing buildings as we enter back into the busy city.
"Are we... Are you going to keep your promise?" I ask as I stare awkwardly at my lap.
He chuckles lightly. "That depends. How is your head? Do your promise it hurt at all?"
I shake my head quickly. "No, I have felt fine all day. Even after I was dancing I had some tingling around my head but it wasn't bad at all. Very manageable." I say as I continue to look down, trying to come up with further points of argument to get this to happen if I need to.
He lifts my chin with his fingers so I am face to face with him as he smirks. "Then I don't see why not. This is supposed to be a perfect night after all isn't it?"
