Friendships are always something special, but wholesome friendships are at a completely different level. It's about funny, cute or just extremely beautiful-to-see friendships. Let's start with SoT, as usual. Let's go ^^

#5 Laslow and Chris

You just know from the way how they interact with each other that they have a deep-reaching friendship, especially on Chris' end. It's at the end of the Alola events where you really see how close they are- as Chris even gives Laslow hugs in order to comfort him, tries to cheer him up and cares deeply about his well-being (upon hearing what's going on in Alola, he wanted to come over and help, but ended up stuck in Unova because the noat connections where cut off). He came to Alola eventually to check up on his best friend and Kuraiko. Chris is known to be a very inapproachable-seeming character as he has that reputation of being extremely powerful, so seeing him giving hugs to other people is quite cute. Also, Chris fought Dino with just one thought in mind, the thought of not being allowed to let Laslow down. This shows how extremely loyal of a friend he is. He also did his best to keep Jacky and Laslow away from each other later on so Laslow wouldn't have to be sad all the time because of how things worked out.

#4 Jayden and Laslow

Laslow and Jayden are quite the opposite of one another, yet their friendship is very special. They keep mocking each other frequently, but Jayden attempts to cheer him up as well, especially in GoH as he has problems in his relationship with Akira. He tries to help him by giving some advice and stating his neutral opinion about the issue. Laslow on the other hand is the one to be able to calm Jayden down and get him to think. Even though Jayden basically waged war against him after Mari's disappearance, Laslow had faith in him after all, despite his words, to be able to come back to his senses. Especially because of their league battle, which turned out to be one of if not the best battle in 2019's league conference, the two of them ended up coming closer to one another since it was a very tight, very exciting result.

#3 Jayden and Kahua

Jayden was the one helping Kahua to come out of himself, as the younger used to be too shy to go up against Keon. Kahua on the other hand helped Jayden achieve his goal, to destroy Team Skull, and put his heart into it as well. He even saw Jayden as their leader. Kahua was Jayden's first ever best friend and they way they keep supporting each other is just cute. Even in GoH, they are still very close to one another (Kahua pranked Jayden at the Summer Solstice Festival by frightening him).

#2 Kahua and Noka

Kahua and Noka just never get rid of one another. Since Noka kind of 'forced' him to be her business partner, the two kept sitting in the same boat. Kahua encouraged her to tell their mutual friends about the issue with her father and served as a person to confide in during the hard times she had to go through. In GoH, Kahua became, just like Noka, a travelling merchant at her own market, so they still are business partners. Even though Kahua seems less than excited about it, it's clear they get along gloriously.

#1 Zain and Dino

These two are cute because Dino tends to be kinds overprotective of Zain. And Zain... well... he's the only one allowed to threaten Dino who doesn't get be-headed for it. Lol.

Now let's move on to GoH, where there by the way won't only be friendships involving the Sapphire Eclipse guild.

#5 Yukine and Makoto

Yukine and Makoto got along from the very start. Yukine gave him money not for his singing but for feeding his Swablu. Then, Makoto came to join him and Akira for dinner- and ultimately, they became besties later at the guild. Makoto is the only one who has a nickname for him (Yu) and Yukine returned the favor by calling him "Ma-kun", also reducing his name to the two starting letters. They like playing the piano and guitar together sometimes and get along extremely well.

#4 Ichiro and Riku (Diamond Heart)

Riku being a ftm trans and Ichiro knowing about it and promising not to say a word is the first fact. The second one is that Ichiro supports this heavily by doing research and helping Riku out, like, for example, finding suitable swimming gear so Riku doesn't need to feel uncomfortable swimming. That shows how great their bond is and how accepting of the situation Ichiro turns out to be.

#3 Solace, Aella and Lane

Now, these three stick together through everything. They support each other, help each other and especially comfort each other when things go south. Aella oftentimes stays in their room over night and the boys don't mind, they even once slept in the same bed together when Tori was kidnapped to feel each other's safety.

#2 Rin and Levi

Rin and Levi from Phoenix Tear are getting along so well because they both are kinda renegades. They hate Johto, they hate being kept in the closet, they hate not being allowed to live freely and they especially hate their families. Having each other helped them a great lot. They think the same, behave the same and want to live the same. They even share a room in Phoenix Tear's HQ, even tho it's highly inappropriate to do that there. They just showed the others the middle finger and did it.

#1 Finley and Eliot

Surpriiiiiiise, a pair of flowers! ... you know... because they're from Flower Garden. Finley is a veryunique one. He's cheerful and he's wikipedia on two legs, but the trauma of his past is still heavily clinging to him. And that's where Eliot helps out. He knows exactly how to treat Finley in that state and is his anchor. He is Finley's comfort person... and the one who actually got him out of Spikemuth. Finley relies heavily on him and Eliot keeps him walking.

**Sidenote 1: Makoto and Jairo's relationship meanwhile is less of a friendship and more of an actual brotherhood.

**Sidenote 2: Mari and Jacky's friendship stopped to be wholeseome the moment the tqo oft then started drifting apart. Meanwhile, it's more of a distant friendship.
