Micah
Micah was once again in the kitchen going over what needed to be done when the outside door is slammed open which seems to startle poor Micah.
"You fucking idiot! I wanted white impatiens, not these white vinca! God, it was a simple order and yet you seem to have fucked it up!"
"I'm sorry Ms.Courtney. I wrote down exactly what you ask me to write, but the flower shop seems to have made the mistake."
"I don't give a living shit who made the goddamn mistake! It won't change the fact that someone fucked up and now I'm paying the price!"
Micah was watching as Satan was hassling poor Fred. Micah got up and walked over to the two.
"Excuse me Sa- Ms.Courtney. Would you like me to call the flower shop? So you can has-tell them about the mistake they did and how you are extremely displeased with it?"
"Stay out of this Micah!"
"Of course, I could call Ms.Catalina so she can listen to how you've hassled poor Fred who did what you asked and did nothing to cause your wrath?"
Satan, Ms.Courtney, narrowed her eyes at Micah and gave him a glare so cold it could freeze molten hot lava. Micah just continued to stare at her with indifference etched across his face. Fred, who was behind Ms.Courtney, stared at Micah with gratitude and awe in his eyes. Fred couldn't believe that the younger man had the guts to stand up to this arrogant woman. Everyone feared for their jobs when it came to her so they let her, but now this seemingly courageous (or stupid) man was threatening her with Ms.Catalina.
"No, I'm sure I can think of something."
Micah said nothing as Satan left the room and turned to look at Fred, who gave him a nod in thanks and left. Micah sighed and went back to his list. Gio came in and gave the list a once over and nodded at him.
"Good job. You have a knack for putting the best people where they seem to exceed at. That gets the job done a lot faster."
Micah nods and blushes since Gio doesn't really compliment others and he's grown to be somewhat like an uncle to Micah. Gio smiles and walks toward the door, nearly bumping into Vincent and Stone, who seem to be in a very important discussion. So much so that they don't realize that Micah is there.
"I'm telling you! You should think about it!"
"Why would I even consider what you have asked of me?"
Micah steeled his face to keep from showing his annoyance and cleared his throat catching the attention of the two men arguing.
"If you could please get what you came in for and leave I would be greatly appreciative."
"So much so that you would go on a date with me?"
Micah hid his confusion by moving his hands to his hips.
"I said 'appreciative' not desperate."
Vincent burst out laughing while Stone just stared at Micah. Micah could see a small hint of amusement and hurt in his dazzling green eyes. Micah shook it off.
"Now if you don't need anything from me or this kitchen, I'll ask you to leave because I am currently busy at the moment."
"I need something from you."
"What is it Mr.Stone?"
Micah inwardly rolled his eyes and prepared to reject his offer.
"For you to call me Stone."
Micah's blue eyes grew wide in surprise. He thought that Stone would try again, but he guess he was wrong.
"Sorry, sir, but your mother would make my life hell if she heard me call you Stone."
"Two things. One, I don't care what my mom thinks. Two, please?"
Micah bit his lips and looked the other way. If he were staring at Stone, like Vincent was then he would have noticed how Stone's green eyes grew darker at the action. Vincent clenched his fist to keep from laughing. Micah looked back at Stone,
"On one condition?"
"What?"
"You apologize for calling me a slut last week."
It was Stone's turned to be surprised.
"Fine. Micah, can you forgive me for overreacting and calling you a slut even though you obviously aren't?"
Micah smiled and nodded. He went back to his duty as Vincent and Stone grabbed drinks and chips and left.

Stone
"Dude, what are you going to do? I mean he obviously doesn't like you. But I don't blame him since you didn't even know him and you called hm a slut. Nice one Stone."
Stone scowled at Vincent.
"I didn't mean to. I got extremely jealous at the thought of him going out with his friends and getting drunk. What if he met someone while he was there and I lost the chance to go out with him? The thought of him with someone else makes me angry and upset! Besides, I apologized and I meant it so he forgives me."
"True, well if you need any help from me just ask bro and I'm here for you."
"Thanks, now let's watch a ton of movies to get my mind off of him."
Vincent nodded and they both got comfortable in the home theater.
Two movies later, the door to the home theater room is opened and in steps Micah.
"Mr.Vincent and M- Stone, dinner is ready. Would you like me to bring it in here or will you two be joining Stone's family in the dining room?"
"Please don't call me Mr. I feel old when people do that."
Micah smiled at Vincent and nodded. Stone was a bit jealous because of how easily Vincent got Micah to smile at him.
"What do you think Stone?"
Stone thought about it for a minute.
"Well, Alexia and my mother are probably waiting to talk to me about how I broke up with Charlotte since they both liked her and no doubt she called them as soon as she could so if you would, Micah, please bring dinner in here. Oh, and if you would join us that would be great too."
Micah's eyes showed a bit of surprise in them causing Stone to almost smirk smugly at the expression.
"I suppose I could ask Gio to serve your family while I serve you two in here."
Stone shook his head. That's not what he meant.
"Have you eaten dinner, Micah?"
Micah shook his head no.
"Then please have dinner with me and Vincent."
"I'm not sure that is wise, Stone."
"Why? You have dinner with grandma when she has dinner in her room. Why can't you have dinner with us?"
Stone spoke in a calm but curious tone showing that he wasn't upset with the rejection, just wondering why it happened. Stone was proud that he spoke that way when he was a bit hurt with the rejection. Micah's face had a look of contemplation on it. He seemed to have made a decision because he nodded his head.
"Very well then. I'll be right back with dinner."
Stone smiled as Micah exits the room. Vincent turns to him with a grin of his own. But before he could say anything the door is burst opened to reveal a brunette girl, Gabby, who seems to be frantic.
"I'm so sorry to disturb you Mr.Stone, but have you seen Micah?"
"Yes, he just left here and headed toward the kitchen. May I ask why you need him so bad?"
"Ummm...Well, we have a small problem in the laundry room and we don't know what to do. Now if you will excuse me, I must find him."
She closed the door and her frantic footsteps could be heard as she headed in the direction Micah took. Vincent turned to Stone with a strange look on his face.
"Who is that?"
"Her name is Gabby. Well Gabriella, but she prefers Gabby. Why?"
"When did she start working here?"
"Umm a year ago. You've never seen her?"
"No. This is the first time I've seen her."
"That's weird."
Vincent nodded in agreement. In his eyes were some strange emotions, Stone just shrugged it off. After a while, the door opened again and Micah came in with dinner.
"Sorry for the long wait gentlemen, but I had other matters to attend too."
"It's fine, Micah. Now, what is for dinner?"
"Well, Rosie went with black dijon salmon with steamed vegetables and white rice on the side."
"There is only two plates here. Will you not join us after all?"
"My dinner is getting heated up in the microwave. I was just going to set you guys up before I went to go get it."
Micah leaves again after setting up the trays that are connected with the seats. He had put the trays down and set a fork and knife along with a cup and their plates down. Stone sits back and waits for Micah to come back. A few minutes later, Micah comes in with food that smells delicious. It looks like tacos and something that looks like a pouch of some kind full of meat, cream, and some type of cheese.
"Hey, Micah what is that?"
"Um, tacos with two gorditas."
"What is that?"
"Umm, the outer part is made from corn and its fried. Then it's cut open a bit and people fill it with different kinds of meats and cheeses or other things. This one is filled with pastored which is pork meat with pineapple in it. Do you want to taste, Vincent?"
"Umm no, it sounded good till you said pork and pineapple. Those things should never go together."
"There is some other seasonings in there. Do you want some Stone?"
Stone was elated with the fact that Micah thought of him. He nodded and took a bite when Micah held it close to his mouth. He moaned when the combined saltiness of the pork, tanginess of the pineapple and sour cream, and the cheese touched his palate. He chewed and swallowed.
"That is actually pretty good. Did Rosie make that?"
"Um no. My papa came to visit me and brought me lunch since I love his food."
"That seems nice. Tell me about your dad."
"Well...my papa is amazing. He has taken care of me since I was born. You see, my mama died during childbirth so he was left alone with a screaming newborn. I am so grateful to him for not given me up to the orphanage. I use to volunteer there before I got this job and the main caretaker, Mrs.Daisy, tells me all about how some of the kids there were given up for one reason or the other. And my dad didn't. He took care of me even though he worked really hard and long hours at his job as a mechanic. He would ask our neighbor to take care of me while he was working or he'd take me with him if she wasn't available. He never once complained about me. Of course, as soon as I was old enough I began taking odd jobs to help out. I'd mow lawns, babysit, petsit, clean out gutters, paint rooms or whatever they needed painted, and even got rid of pests like rats. I want to be able to give my pappy what he deserves. That's one of the reasons why I'm grateful to Ms.Catalina. She hired me without hesitation and now I can send a good chunk of my paycheck to my father and still have enough to save up for college."
Stone watched as Micah told them about his father and a bit of his life. Stone didn't like that Micah had to go through all that during his childbirth. He was sad for him, but yet in awe of Micah. He has done so much to survive and help out his father. Plus, he lost his mother as soon as he was born. He never knew her. Stone felt his attraction for the young butler grow a lot more than it used to be.
"Wow. That is inspiring. Right, Stone?"
Stone was nudged in the ribs by Vincent.
"I couldn't agree more Vincent. I'm sorry that you never knew your mother, Micah."
"Don't be. I know she is somewhere better and I like to think that she is watching over me and my papa."
"I'm sure she is. She would be very proud at how much of a hard worker you have grown to be."
"You think so?"
"I know so."
"Thanks, Stone."
"You're welcome, Micah."
"Now, let's eat before our food gets cold. What were you about to put in before I walked in here?"
"Insidious 3. We've already seen one and two earlier."
"Cool! I love scary movies!"
"Awesome! Let's start it and enjoy our meal. Stone, the lights!"
Stone rolls his eyes playfully at Vincent's childish demanding tone. He grabbed the remote that controlled the lights and quickly press the button that turns them off. He also grabbed the PS3 controller and clicked play to start the movie. Stone quickly dug into his food as the movie showed the opening credits. He couldn't help, but to stare at Micah in the darkness of the room where the only light came from the screen that took up an entire wall. After they finished dinner and the movie, Micah had to leave to finish his duties for the day. Stone walked Vincent to his car and agreed to think about the deal, that Vincent had offered earlier, some more and give him an answer by the end of the month. Then, he walked to his room and headed toward his private bathroom for a shower. He stripped and waited as the water turned to the right temperature. When it was ready he quickly got in and took a ten minute shower. He got out and dried off. He dressed in briefs and some sweats. No shirt. Finally, he jumped into bed and closed his eyes. Only for them to open five seconds later. His thoughts were going crazy now that he didn't have anything to occupy his mind. All he could think about was Micah and his rough childhood. He turned onto his chest. He clutched a pillow between his crossed arms and laid his head on it. He couldn't help the smile that appeared at the fact that Micah had opened up to him. Albeit, Vincent was there and it was only a little bit. But, he opened up to Stone none the less. With that last thought, Stone closed his eyes for the last time that night and fell into Micah filled dreams.
