Chapter 18
After a few days Rachel was out of the hospital, George was happy to see her out, so was I of course.
The boys had a while off of working, they suggested to myself and Rachel to go down to this summer house that Brian Epstein had rented for them as he went off with other clinets of his, so we went. I started to see them more than just some Liverpool band, they were more than that now.
We all road in the car down to the house, when Paul struck up a coversation about everyones childhoods. Rachel was sitting next to George and I had no clue if she told George about what happened to her, I didn't want pressure on her to lie. She was more honest, and wasn't the best lair.
"What were you like Lana? How was your childhood?" Paul asked
"It was normal, despite growing up without a mom, I had to look after my younger brother a lot and I haven't seen my older brother in a long time, but I lived on Scottie Road so I was close to everyone on my street we were all like one big family, I used to sneak away from doing house work on Saturday and take my brother down to the church, plus we always played on the street myself and all the kids it was a pretty good childhood" I smiled
"You must have know little Cilla black" Ringo said with a smile
"Oh yeah, I knew Cilla she was a little devil just like me, we used to hang out together and when people would see us they'll called us Heavans little devils" I chuckled
"What about you Rachel?" Paul asked
"I guess it was alright" Rachel said shyly with a shrug
I examined George, I couldn't tell if he was upset with Paul asking or if he didn't know about Rachel. I looked at Rachel who was biting her lip
"What was it like?" George asked. He didn't know.
"I guess it had good moments and bad ones, thats all I can say" Rachel said bluntly as we pulled up to the summer house. It was right in front of a beach and looked so relaxing. I was just happily that Rachel didn't have to explain what she didn't want to.
"Race you to the beach!" John said nudging me and racing out of the car
"You got a head start!" I yelled running after John
I caught up to John who tackled me on the beach, I laughed as he pinned me to the ground and I started kicking my feet
"Let me go!" I laughed
"Never!" John exclaimed.
