Dates As Titles

So you're looking through stories and come across something called "April 23, 1845" (idk what happened then, I just made up a date) and it has a huge picture of a well known person. Automatically you brain puts this as a fanfic, but for some non superfans, it's hard to remember what happened on that date. And when you go to look up the book again, you're met with 368 books with the same title.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that dates as titles are really annoying. Especially if the title is just a year/decade like "1840" and a picture of Santa Anna as the cover. Some of these stories are good, but some aren't, and most are either about time travel or if something different happened on that day. Please, it would make me want to read your story 100 times more if you took a few minutes to come up with a title that isn't a date.

Here are some examples and ways that they could be fixed. These titles are randomly chosen dates, and aren't biased off of any book I have seen. Also I'm really bad at titles, as I came up with these in about five seconds.

July 4/The Day Of Independence
September 20th/Rackets and Battles
Aug. 28, 1963/Dreams Are Possible

So these are honestly terrible titles, but they seem more appealing to me than just a date. A title is a few word summary of your story, so make it leave an impression on your reader. Try to think of it as giving everything, but nothing away at the same time.

Peace out my fellow humans! (and pets if they're watching your screen)
