Honestly it's so overused and in a really crappy way sometimes. Maybe a story which is pretty famous used it at first and now everyone is using it too.

You know those stories in which the alarm beeps and the MC angrily shuts it down or throws it away? And of course it's a Monday morning which she hates with a passion? And again, it's a new school to which she has magically transferred to because of her parents. Then she goes on and on about a pair of clothes she's gonna wear.

Yes, yes. Descriptions are really necessary but I think telling the readers the colours of your clothes are enough. You don't need to blab on and on about the brand you're wearing and the amount of lipstick you're putting on.

Honestly, it's not a fashion show.

And then she's driving to school nervously and then suddenly makes friends instantly even though she was scared as hell only two minutes ago.

Now, cue the jerk guy who's all, "So you're the new girl eh?"

Now he's teasing her and she hates him.

Then the teacher partners them up for some class project (Ah, how I wish that ever happened to me.)

Should I go on and on?

Honestly I've read so many stories like this I'm fucking tired 😴

Look, if you have these in your stories please don't be offended. But why don't you try to make it a little original?

I have changed schools about five times since elementary. My dad's job doesn't allow us to stay in the same place for more than two years.

And not even once has some hot guy teased me about something.

Make it realistic, make it funny, make your readers feel and relate.

Just because some similar stories got famous it doesn't mean yours will too. Everyone likes to try out new and original ideas. Don't be afraid to express yours!
