Chapter 3

---- Elizabeth's P.O.V. ----

"Are you sure we should really do this?" Jonathan asked, a little leary of the situation. I didn't blame him. I felt the exact same way.

"I don't really know," Evan answered truthfully. "I don't want this city to go straight into the hole though."

"C'mon man, we aren't cops," David said, crossing his arms. "If we get caught, we'd probably be facing jail time." Evan shook his head and paced around his upstairs living room.

"Just, lemme think," he said, sitting down on the couch and putting his head in his hands, letting out a sigh.

"I didn't think that I would be having second thoughts about doing this. Ever," Evan mumbled.

"We can fucking do this," Jonathan said, getting up from his spot and walking in front of Evan. "You said it yourself, the puzzle of this city's activities aren't gonna come out to something good. If no one else will do anything," he kneeled down in front of Evan. "We have to."

Evan took his head out of his hands and looked at Jon with new confidence. He stood up and stood in front of all of us.

"He's right. We need to do this. This city is not going to fall," he spoke confidently. I raised my hand slightly.

"Umm, who says that we're all on board?" I asked quietly.

"Oh c'mon, Liz," Tyler said, turning towards me. "We can do this. We can save this city before it falls. We need everyone to help though." I looked down at my lap. One side of me just wants to say yolo and help out my friends, but another side of me is telling me to back out and stay safe. I agree with both sides, but I don't know what to do.

Maybe I should just trust my friends. I should help them with this. I need to help them. No, you need to stay safe. You need to go to collage, get a good job, have a normal life. Not becoming a vigilante with your friends.

"Liz," Lui broke me from my thoughts as he gently touched my shoulder. I looked up at him to see him and the others staring at me. You know what, fuck it.

"I'm in," I said, looking back at Craig at the front of the room. He nodded.

"Well, are we all in on this then?" he asked. The guys started to shout and whoop and Evan smiled.

"Its settled then," he said. He walked out of the room real quick and came back with a couple of pistols. One of them was Craig's and the other belonged to Evan.

"Let's take two vehicles, mine and Evan's," Craig spoke, making sure his gun had enough ammo. Evan nodded.

"Okay; Jon, Brock, and Lui, you're gonna be with me," Evan said, motioning them to follow him.

"Tyler, David, and Liz, you're gonna be with me then." We nodded and headed out to Craig's car which was parked just in front of Evan's house.

"Everyone has their guns, right?" Craig asked as he started the engine. Everyone said yes and we were off. As we drove down the street, following Evan, David and Tyler pulled their guns out. They took the mags out and checked how many bullets they had.

"I'm full," Tyler reported, loading the gun back up. David slid his back in as well.

"I'm full too," he said. Might as well check mine too. I slid the mag from my gun and counted the bullets.

"One away from full," I said. Tyler and David looked over at me. I rolled my eyes.

"There was a rat in my kitchen a few days ago," I explained. Craig chuckled as he continued to drive.

"You wasted a bullet on a rat?" he asked, making a turn. I groaned.

"Well yeah, how else was I suppose to kill it?" I asked. David looked over at me.

"Ye know, they have this magical thing called 'rat poison'," he mocked. I lightly punched him in the shoulder as I concealed my gun yet again. David did the same, but I noticed something.

"You know, they have this magical thing on a gun called a 'saftey' so you don't accidentally blow your nuts off," I laughed as David chuckled, embarrassed.

"I know, just seeing if ye were paying attention," he said, taking the gun out and putting the safety on before concealing it again. Tyler snorted.

"You just keep telling yourself that," Tyler commented, turning back around in his seat. Evan suddenly stopped as we were almost at the top of a hill, making Craig slam on the breaks and us jolt forward.

"Jesus Craig, don't just stop like that," Tyler groaned. We looked in front of us to see Evan and the others getting out, so we followed.

"This is his place," Evan said in a low voice, looking up at the very nice establishment.

"Damn, it's pretty sweet if you ask me," Jon said, giggling. "Too bad we have to break in."

"Wait, we're breaking in?" I asked, looking at Evan and Jon. Evan nodded.

"Just to see what we're dealing with now and get some information," he said, taking his gun out slowly. I shook my head and pulled out my gun as well.

"You guys are something else," I said, looking back at the house we were about to break into.

A/n: Haha, I'm so evil leaving you on a cliffhanger like that. Guess you'll just have to wait till next weekend to see what goes down. Okay, peace out!

Love you all,

-Alex <3
