Chapter 2
---- Elizabeth's P.O.V. ----
I looked around Evan's basement in awe. The last time I had actually been down here was at least two years ago. How did he get all of this information?
"I observe," he simply stated. "And Craig might've done some hacking for me." Wait, I asked him that out loud?
"Yes, you did," he answered yet again, smiling. I really need to work on not saying my thoughts aloud.
"How long have you been working on this Evan?" Lui asked as I made my way back over to everyone. Craig and Evan looked over at each other, probably thinking back.
"Well, Craig and I have been working on this for a little less than two years," he replied as Craig pushed his glasses up.
"So, what is all of this exactly?" David asked. Craig's eyes lit up and he strode over to the board.
"Well, this is basically all kinds of different things happening in the city. Not just anything, but things happening with large crime organizations, certain places being broke into or robbed, and different large companies pulling really shady or suspicious stuff. Everything fits together like a puzzle, and I'm trying to get all of the pieces," he explained. "But with the pieces I have so far, it looks like the puzzle is not gonna turn out good."
The others and I started examining the board as Evan went over to a cluttered table, picking up a newspaper clipping, some string, and tacks. He came back to the board and pinned up the clipping and attached string to it and a newspaper clipping wit a sticky note. I examined both.
"This is the story from this morning about the jewelry store robbery," I stated, moving up to the sticky note and newspaper clipping.
"'Bank Robbed in North Yankton. Three Suspects Dead, One Missing'" I read aloud, looking at the year. 2004. I read on.
"'Three men robbed a bank in Ludendorff, North Yankton, escaping with millions of dollars. Suspects were chased by the North Yankton State Patrol and the getaway driver was shot dead. The state patrols then pursued the suspects into a small town where two other suspects were shot and killed while the last one managed to escape," I finished the small clipping and moved onto the sticky note next to it.
"Two suspects escaped," I read. I looked back at Craig and Evan for an explanation.
"One of those robbers faked their death, and is still alive, living in Los Santos," Evan explained.
"Well, who and where is he?" Jonathan asked. Craig shook his head.
"We don't know, we haven't been able to find out yet."
"How did you find this out?" I asked, dumbfounded. Craig rolled his eyes jokingly.
"I told you, I did some hacking," he said, motioning his computer setup near the board.
"But anyways, that suspect from the Ludendorff robbery that faked his death is somehow connected to this," he said, examining everything on the board. I walked up to the board, see in another string attached to the robbery that happened today. I followed it to a picture with the name "Franklin Clinton" written on it in sharpie marker.
"Was this guy connected to the robbery today?" I asked Craig. He looked over and nodded.
"Yeah, this guy is a repo for a car dealer in town. A vehicle that he repoed was found near the shop. The cops were skeptical, but I know he was involved somehow," he explained. Brock walked up to the board as well.
"Can you cross reference the people this guy has had contact with and see if one of the guys have something to do with Ludendorff?" Brock asked, looking over at Craig. Craig's and Evan's eyes widened and they rushed over to the computer, bringing up Franklin on the FIB database. We gathered around as Craig started scrolling through the people that he has had contact with.
"I can't believe we didn't think of this sooner," he said, clicking on a contact. It brought up a record and Craig leaned back in his chair and clapped his hands together.
"Franklin repoed a car from this guy's son, and he ended up making him crash through the window of the car dealership Franklin worked for," he said, scanning over the guy's profile.
"Hmm, there's more files I can access, but I need to get past the encryption," he said, cracking his knuckles. "No problem." He began typing in all kinds of stuff, all of it looking like a foreign language. He got access to the file about thirty seconds later.
"Told you, easy." He scanned through the file, his eyes falling upon something interesting.
"Says here that he's living under the witness protection program as Michael De Santo, his birth name being-" he stopped and his eyes widened. "Michael Townley!" he yelled, getting up from his chair.
"You're a fucking genius Brock!" he yelled out of happiness, grabbing a sticky note and sharpie, scribbling down information.
"Michael Townley, killed during escape at the Ludendorff robbery," he said happily, ripping the sticky note from the pad and sticking it next to the other sticky note.
"Now," he said, walking back over to the computer. "Let's find out where this dude lives."
A/n: Uh oh, the gang is coming for you Michael. Better watch out! Can't wait for the next chapter! Hope you guys are liking this so far even though pretty much nothing is happening. Have a great weekend!
