Chapter 19 ~ I Dun Goofed
IIIIIIIII have nothing to say.
Bye.

~ Kat's PoV ~
I was having the time of my life.
Everything was perfect. The rides, the games, the night sky, the cool air, Mr. Cluckers the stuffed animal chicken, Jake— whut. Why'd Jake cross my mind? Oh well.
We went on some more rides (rides were free but booths weren't :/ ), met up with the three guys to get money, played some booth games, I chased Jake with the visor, he called me a demon, it was a good time.
That is, until we were leaning against a pole, laughing, and Abby ran by.
"Hey Abby!" I called cheerfully, but my smile faded when I saw her face. She was as red as an apple, and looked flustered and upset. "Woah, you okay? Where's Gordon?"
"I-I'm fine. Just a little tired. I'm gonna go back to the room, so can I have the key?" She asked shakily.
"Uh, yeah sure." Jake frowned, but fished the key out of his inventory belt and tossed it to Abby. She caught it, mumbled a "thanks", and continued running.
"I wonder why she's so upset." I frowned too.
Jake looked at me. "Nah she's fine. She said she was just tired."
I stared back at him with an exasperated look. "You know so little."
"What do you mean?"
I sighed. "You go look for Gordon. Imma go after Abby."
As I turned around, he said in a confused tone, "Um, okay."
I sprinted back to the hotel. I was hoping I could catch up to Abby, but with all the people, I couldn't spot her. So I just kept running.
Finally I made it to the edge of the park and paused. Yep, our room light was on.
I jogged across the street and to the hotel. A guy opened the door to walk out but I slid in before it shut. I went into the elevator and pressed the button.
The calm elevator ride didn't seem to fit with all the running.
When the door opened, I walked down the hall and knocked on our room door. I could've opened it, but that would be rude. Wait, it was my room.
I opened the door and walked inside. Abby wasn't in the main room. I walked over to the bedroom door and opened it. Inside, she was pacing.
"Psst." I knocked on the open door.
She whipped her head over to me. Then, her face relaxed. "Oh, it's only you."
"You were hoping I wasn't someone else?"
Her focus turned to the ground and she nodded.
"Is it a certain someone?"
She nodded again.
"Is it—"
"Gordon kissed me!" She blurted out.
I gasped. "Seriously?!"
"Yes!" She flopped facedown on the bed. "And I kissed him back!"
"No...!" I said in shock.
"Yes!" She looked up at me with a crazy look. "I didn't know what I was doing!"
"That's why you were running past us." I realized. I sat down on the bed next to her. "Details. What happened exactly."
She explained to me the whole thing with Nick (who definitely was flirting), and Gordon trying to punch him, and them on the bridge, then them kissing, and then her running away.
Throughout the story, I had a creepy grin on my face from the cuteness.
(Kinda like that ^)
"He was so jealous." I chuckled.
"I didn't realize it at the time!" She groaned.
I shifted closer. "Was Nick really that cute?"
"Yes." She nodded quickly. "And charming. I just kinda got lost in his eyes."
No. Bad Abby. You belong to Gordon.
"But how was the kiss?" I tried to change it to Gordon.
She hesitated, eyebrows furrowed. "It was..." Her cheeks reddened, and that answered my question.
"You liked it!" I exclaimed loudly.
"Shhhhh!" Abby hushed me.
"And you like him!" I continued, grinning.
She smacked me with a pillow. I ran to the other bed singing, "Abby loves Gordon! Abby loves Gordon!" I grabbed a pillow and blocked her next attack. I got on top of the bed.
"Quit it!" She yelled, swinging the pillow at my feet. I jumped in time but she brought the pillow up to my face and knocked me down.
I laughed. "For a person that doesn't do much pvp, you're good at it."
"It was a lucky shot." She teased. "Plus you were too distracted with spouting out lies."
"It's not a lie and you know it." I pointed at her. "I just don't know why you haven't made the kid happy yet and went out with him."
"I just can't." Abby sighed.
"Why."
"Because."
"Because why."
"Kat."
"Abby."
"Stop."
"Go."
"No."
"Yes."
"Kat!" She shouted, exasperated. "It's too complicated to tell at the moment. Just... please."
"Okay." I nodded. I didn't like not knowing, but I allowed it.
She exhaled in relief. "I just don't know what to do now." Abby turned to me. "You aren't going to tell Infinity, are you?"
I recoiled. Infinity would love to hear this! Then again, she would never let it go.
"Please." She pleaded.
I closed my eyes. "Fine."

As Kat left, I grumbled. Girls were complicated.
I walked in the opposite way that Abby went, hoping Gordon was somewhere close. We didn't even know if it was Gordon that made her run off, but Kat seemed sure.
After a few minutes of searching, I finally noticed a figure on the bridge in the park. It was a male, with light hair, and he was slapping himself saying, "Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!"
Yep. Definitely Gordon.
"Yo." I waved once as I walked on the bridge.
He snapped his head toward my direction. Then, he exhaled and looked down. "I'm an idiot."
"I heard." I leaned forward on the fence next to him. "What did you do this time?"
He sighed. "I dun goofed. I kissed Abby."
"You did?" I asked in amazement. "It's about time!"
He shook his head. "No. No excitement. It was terrible timing. I just got caught up in the moment and leaned forward. I don't even think she liked it. She ran away afterwards."
"Yeah we sorta saw her run by." I awkwardly scratched the back of my head. "She's back at the apartment with Kat."
"Glad it's only Kat to comfort her and not Nick."
I frowned. "That guy from the Ballistic Builders?"
He explained me the whole story in a glum tone, making me kind of mad at Nick.
"You did the right thing." I tried to cheer him up. "He was dishonoring the bro code. He clearly saw you were with her, and should've backed off."
Gordon laughed bitterly. "You even thought it was right for me to challenge him?"
"Eh, you were trying to show dominance."
"And me trying to swing at him?"
"Ummm.... Well I guess you could've handled that better. Like, what happened man?"
His eyes widened barely. "I don't know! I just saw her and him together, and I just lost it. That birch— as Kat would say— doesn't deserve her. I know that."
"Yeah." I didn't know what else to say. "Yeah. I don't blame you."
"I just wish I could redo tonight." Gordon rested his forehead on the railing.
I cleared my throat. "You know, things happen for a reason. They may be bad, but that's just life. You just gotta move on from it."
"Were you just being deep."
"Man, I don't know. I'm not good at this stuff."
"I'm not really either."
"Okay."
We just stood there in silence. And it was a really pretty environment, which made it even more awkward.
I coughed. "So..."
"So..." He muttered, looking at the ground.
"What do you say," I offered. "We forget this whole thing and just go ride some epic rollercoasters to get our minds off of things. Mostly girls."
He chuckled. "Girls are complicated."
"They are indeed."
"Speaking of girls..."
"No." I stopped him. "Don't push it."
He put his hands up in surrender. "Alright. But yeah, let's go have fun."
As we started walking, I added, "And I won't tell Infinity. That's for you guys to decide."

~ Jane's PoV (Wtf am I doing) ~
"Ivan you must reconsider." I pleaded.
"We don't have a choice."
"But..." I looked at our couch in frustration. It was expensive, soft, velvety netherbrick, which was what all our furniture was made of in our penthouse. It is nice to be a council member. For instance, members of our apartment building aren't supposed to be allowed to have pets, but that didn't qualify for us. Now we have our tabby cat, Tibsy.
"It'll only endanger the city." He continued, walking into his office.
I closed my eyes and breathed in deeply. Despite us having our differences, we rarely argue. We respect each other, and complete each other, and that's all that matters.
However, in some cases he can be a stubborn spider.
"Honestly, I don't think so. I have faith. Do you?" I walked into his office and saw him at his desk, eyes closed and hands massaging the sides of his head.
"I don't know anymore." He said, exasperated. "Do you really trust in them? They're a little..."
"Yes. I do. I don't care how little you think of the lot." I walked over to him.
He chuckled. "Sometimes I wonder if you're in your right mind." Then, he added, "but that's why I love you. You think differently. Think more... extravagant."
"I'll take that as a compliment." I laughed. I kissed his cheek. "So...?"
He looked out the window in concentration. The view of the city was absolutely breathtaking, I was jealous that he got it. Ivan was always the man that never appreciated the small things, and moved too fast in life. Nevertheless, I still love him.
"Very well." Ivan nodded. "I will tell the council tomorrow, before the meeting, that we have changed our decision."

:0 did Jane just save them?
Lel this was a filler chapter. I'm sorry it wasn't very actiony or that nothing big happened. But that's only because I have a lot of big things coming. And don't think I'm just saying that, because I am super psyched. In fact, I believe things are about to get exciting. 😏😏😎😎😌😌😁😁😁😁😁😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😄😃😃😃😄😄😃😄😃😃😃😄😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😄😃😄😃😃😄😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄😃😄
Sorry that was me trying to be cool but I ended up shiggling and failing.
Question: Completely unrelated to the story; Notch or Herobrine? Tbh, out of this story, Herobrine all the way for me.
Rock on, my little rebels.
