Chapter 29

Chapter 29

Breakfast the next morning was crazy. And Dumbledore didn't say anything about the notices that apparently were in every common room. Everyone was talking about it, and there were more owls then normal. It was pandemonium, with everybody yelling their conversations, and owls everywhere, including in the food. I ate quickly then left to go to Potions, because we might still have it today, right? There was nobody there. Guess not. Well, then I had Charms. I enjoyed this class too, because it was very useful. Since I had a free hour, I decided to go to the library and see if I can find more advanced Transfiguration or Charms books, because they were useful, and I was pretty good at both subjects. I thought about getting a book for Potions, then I decided to get one for that too. After borrowing three large books, I hurried back to the Charms classroom. I still had ten minutes before class started, but I found a seat in the back of the room, then opened the Charms book. It was interesting, with lots of useful spells. I read until class started, then, when I realized that I knew the whole lesson, I kept reading. When I was asked to do the spell, I barely looked up, and did it properly. He was very impressed. I didn't care and kept reading. I ignored everything around me until class was over. "Ms. Henderson, would you mind staying after, please?" Professor Flitwick said. I nodded and stayed in my seat.

"I noticed that you are exceptional at Charms, and you seen interested in it as well. I was wondering if you might like extra lessons to learn more. Would you?" He asked. It was very interesting, but I didn't want extra time out of my safe areas. "Thank you for the offer, sir, but I don't think so." I said. He nodded. "Very well. Then let me give you this." He gave me a large book on spells. "It includes all sorts of spells, including Advanced Charms, Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and many more. I hope that you will enjoy it." I smiled. "Thank you, sir." He nodded, then said that I could go. I went back to the Common Room and looked for a spell to copy things. When I found it, I used it to copy the books that I borrowed from the library. It worked, so I returned the books.

Unfortunately, I ran into the Pride on the way back. "Well, well, well. If it isn't little Weed. Why are you here? I didn't think that you could read."  Potter sneered. I scoffed. "Yeah, right. Then what have I been doing a lot of? Staring at the wall, watching paint dry? But why are you here?" I asked, as if I didn't already know. "Oh, I don't know, maybe looking for you." He answered. "Aww, you know, if you really wanted me, you could have just said the magic word." I said sweetly. He thought for a moment. "You're right. Accio!" He said. It shouldn't have happened, but I flew towards him. Accio is used to summon objects, not people, so he only thought of me as an object. According to him, I'm not an actual person.

His outstretched hand grasped my neck, and he started squeezing very, very, hard. I couldn't breathe. And it hurt, a lot. And I kept getting more and more angry at him. Finally, he let me go. I grabbed my wand and yelled one word. One word that I have said only once before as a spell, but I have seen it, and felt it, many times.

"Crucio!" It felt so good, watching him writhe in pain, that I forgot about the other three of them. In an instant, they all had their wands pointed at me, and each said a different spell at the same time.

"Expeliarmus!"

"Stupify!"

"Petrificus Totalus!"

So, suddenly, I was wandless, paralyzed, and unconscious.

I woke up in the Hospital Wing with Madam Pomfrey next to me, tending Potter. Dumbledore was on my other side. "I really hate waking up here." I muttered. Dumbledore chuckled. "Yes, well, most students don't. However, we have a situation. The other students filled me in. They said that Harry here was choking you, then he let you go, and you used the Cruciatus Curse on him. Is this true?" He asked. I nodded. He sighed. "What are we going to do? You can't go around using the Unforgivables on students. It is strictly forbidden. How about we make a deal. You promise not to ever do this again, and I will not tell Snape about this. Is that a deal?" I nodded. "Thank you, sir." I heard groaning from Potter's bed. Dumbledore got up and walked over. "Oh good, you're awake. How are you feeling?" He asked Potter kindly. Said child just groaned again. I scoffed. He looked over. The next groan sounded angrier. I smirked a little, then asked Dumbledore if I was free to go. When he said yes, I hurried out of there and went back to the Common Room.

When I got there, I sank to the ground in my corner. Before I got comfortable though, I saw that Tom had gotten a letter and still had the owl. I got up and asked Tom if I could use the owl, and Tom said that I could, but the owl needed a rest first. "Good, because I need to write the note." I sat down and wrote it.

Professor Dumbledore,

May I start bringing Salazar around? Also, may I have some of the Potions supplies?

Ivy Henderson.

By the time I was done, the owl was rested and ready to fly again. I told him to find Professor Dumbledore, who might still be in the Hospital Wing. He flew off and I sat back down with Salazar. The reply came fairly quickly.

Dear Ms. Henderson,

If you are careful with him so that he doesn't hurt any students, Salazar may come with you. And yes, help yourself to the supplies. I trust you with them.

Dumbledore.

Great! I didn't have anything to give the owl, so I said so and pet it a bunch. He seemed to like that and accept it as sufficient payment. I went back and sat down with Salazar.

"Dumbledore says that you can come with me if you promise not to hurt anyone." I informed him. I promise! He said, very excited. It seemed that I had been in the Hospital Wing all day, so now it was evening, and it was actually time for supper. So I put Salazar on my shoulders and showed him around the castle. He was very excited, especially when we got to the Great Hall.

I smirked when everybody started staring at us, and Salazar enjoyed the attention as well. I sat in my normal seat, ignoring everybody else and just focusing on our food. Salazar are his fill, and so did I, and I didn't worry about the other kids. It felt amazing!

After supper, we went back down, ignoring all of the kids wanting to know bout Salazar. I didn't even give my Housemates the privilege.
