Normani's POV

*dream sequence*

"And the tony award goes too...Normani Hamilton for her role of Roxy Hart in the musical Chicago!"

*applause*

I look over to my mama crying and pushing me toward the stage so I can accept my award for best female lead in the musical I've only dreamed of being in since I was a kid. I get to the stage and take a deep breath before I start speaking. I wait for the applause to stop but it just gets louder and louder until I can't even hear the person talking on the side of me. I try yelling over the crowd but that doesn't work so I close my eyes to calm myself down and then I don't hear it anymore.

*end dream sequence*

I open my eyes again thinking I'm still at the Tony's only to find myself in my Chicago home with my alarm going off on my nightstand.

"Ugh it was only a dream! I should have known I wasn't even in Chicago I was in Motown."

I reach over and turn my alarm off and check my notifications before I shower to head to the airport. Nothing too pressing so I put my phone back down and head for my shower so I can meet my assistant downstairs so I can have something to eat before I catch my flight back to LA. I can't wait to get back to LA and see Dinah I've missed her so much. Being away from her for the musical has been hard but career comes first for the both of us, and we've made it work for 8 months now and we're still going strong to this day. People always ask us how we make a long distance relationship work so well and the answer is really simple, just straight up communication and honesty. I hop out the shower and finish getting ready, I can't see Dinah and forget my lotion I would never live it down. Once I'm done getting dressed I grab my bag and phone and head downstairs to eat breakfast with my assistant Jilly.

"Good morning Normani."

"What about this morning is good Jilly?"

"Well the top of the list for me is getting to see my friends and possibly getting a selfie with LL Cool J in the next few days. Top of the list for you is to see your amazing girlfriend, speaking of which you should check snapchat."

"Oh no what did she do now?"

"Look for yourself and find out, I'm going to go double check our bags before the car gets here. Your breakfast is on the counter."

I pull my phone out of my bag, unlock it, and go to snapchat to what my silly girlfriend has posted so early in the morning, or late at night depending on what time it was over there. Her name is the first to pop up so that means her story was the most recently updated. I open her snap to her laying in bed at our house in almost total darkness.

"I have never been so excited to sleep because I see the bae tomorrow and I can't wait."

"Okay it's official I'm way too excited to sleep so prepare for some weird snaps until I get tired."

She wasn't kidding about that either. The next few snaps were a mix of her playing almost every instrument she had in our house, dancing, and random song covers until the last snap with the time stamp on it which was almost three a.m., and one from this morning stamped #NorminahReunion

"Okay guys I've got a big day tomorrow so this is goodnight."

"Good morning snapchat today is a pretty big day and I'm super excited about it." #NorminahReunion

I close the app and open the messaging app to text my girlfriend.

Chocolate bae: good morning cutie

Caramel bae: morning you saw my snapchat didn't you

Chocolate bae: yes i did you huge dork

Caramel bae: well i'm glad you enjoyed it

Caramel bae: have you left the house yet?

Chocolate bae: no the car isnt here yet

Caramel bae: well let me know when you leave I wanna pick you up myself

Chocolate bae: but jilly got a car for when we land

Caramel bae: then she can take the car but I WILL BE PICKING YOU UP

Chocolate bae: okay youre gonna have to talk to her about it when we get there

Caramel bae: dont worry about jilly leave her to me and ill see you when you land

Chocolate bae: ok love you

Caramel bae: love you too

I put my phone away and sigh. God I love that girl.

"Hey you finally done talking to the old lady?"

"Yeah I'm getting in all my words now because I know she'll leave me breathless when we see each other again."

"Too much info Mani."

"Don't ask if you don't want to know. You should know this by now Jilly."

"Whatever Mani come on the car is here."

We both grab our bags and head to the taxi and make our way to O'Hare international so we can make the plane. Once we get there I snap some people because I love people watching in airports, until my flight gets called. Once on the plane Jilly falls asleep and I open Netflix on my tablet, normally I would fall asleep too but I'm too excited to sleep right now. I find Pretty Little Liars and hit watch because I'm a season behind and I'm tired of all my fans spoiling me every Tuesday. After about three episodes the flight attendant starts to tell people to turn off their devices so I turn my tablet off and wake up Jilly so she can pack up her stuff before the plane lands because we are kinda in a hurry I want to be able to see Dinah before anyone else finds out I'm home and try to take up my time with her. We finally get off the plane and we don't waste time, we grab our bags as soon as we see them in the luggage claim. Jilly is about to make a call for a car to pick us up but I see Dinah's assistant up ahead so I go over to him.

"Thomas what are you doing here?"

"Ms. Hamilton you know exactly why I'm here."

"Did Dinah tell you to come pick me up?"

"Actually I told her to stay and rest because she couldn't sleep at all last night, and when she refused I told her at least to let me drive."

"So where is she know?"

"Sleeping in the back seat of the car most likely, once you have all your bags I'll take you there."

"Okay. Do you want Jilly to drive when we get there? You look a little tired yourself Thomas."

"That would probably be best Ms. Hamilton."

"How late did she make you stay up with her last night?"

"You don't want to know."

I pat his back and he shakes his head and walks to get the bags from Jilly and we make our way out of the airport.

Dinah's POV (up until the airport)

Oh God I only slept three hours last night and I have so many things to do today why does this always happen.

*knock knock*

"Yo cuz you up?"

"How the hell are you so awake? I could have sworn I made you stay up with me."

"I'm used to your crazy so I sleep whenever you leave me alone for longer than a hour. You have a big day today so I thought I would get you up now instead of having to fight you to get up later."

"I hate you Masi."

"Would you rather have me waking you up or your mom? Because I can always call her up."

"Okay chill I'm already up no need to do all that."

"Good as soon as you're done getting ready come downstairs for breakfast and I'll tell you the schedule for the day."

"Okay. Is the dock in the bathroom?"

"No I had it in my room when I got up, but your speaker is charged. Unless you want me to go grab the dock for you."

"Nah it's fine I'll use the speaker."

"Okay. See you downstairs."

I stay in bed a little longer and grab my phone to post a snap because today is an important day and I want my fans to know that, as if they didn't already, I'm excited.

I turn on my music and hit the shower because Masi is right I have a lot of things to do today so the sooner I get ready the better. I quickly get dressed in some "Fan Appropriate" clothes, because I know I'm gonna change later, and head downstairs. I'm glad Masi is my assistant because no one else would know how to handle me almost 24/7 like he does. I only hired him at first as a favor to his mom but he has really pulled through for me when I needed him. Checking my phone I see a text from my baby so I reply to her real quick (AN: same convo from above). God I'm gonna marry that girl one day.

"Hey who you texting?"

"No one now, but I was just talking to Mani. Now I'm about to text Jilly to get their flight info because we are picking them up from the airport when they land."

"When you say we that means I don't have a choice do I?"

"Well of course cousin! I can't drive in such a sleep deprived state I would fall asleep at the wheel and crash. We can't have that now can we?"

"If I didn't need the money, I would quit right now."

"I know Masi. Well I just got the info and you got lucky, their flight doesn't get in until one so you can catch a quick nap before we leave at 11 like I'm about to do."

"Both of us can't be asleep at the same time so gone take your nap, I'll wake you up later around ten. Okay?"

"Okay. Thank god for time zones."

I head up to my room and check social media to say a quick good morning to the fans on twitter and see that the fans have #NorminahReunion the number one trending topic online not only on Twitter, but on Vine and Tumblr as well. I have to acknowledge this because if I don't my fans will roast me....again.

"@DinahJane97: Wow I think you guyzz are almost more excited about the #NorminahReunion than I am.......almost I don't think anyone is more excited to see my baby than I am"

I send the tweet and it already has more than a thousand faves and retweets after thirty seconds and I chuckle at our joint fandoms' excitement then go to snapchat. I know Normani loves to snapchat at airports and sure enough she has a whole snapstory of people watching in the airport and her making up short stories about why those people are in the airport until she gets called for her flight and I know the flight takes at least two hours from Chicago to here so I lock my phone and get my nap in. When I wake up I check the time on my phone and see I slept for forty minutes, so I get up, fix myself, and head downstairs to see Masi on my work computer.

"You woke up earlier than I expected."

"Yeah the dream I had just made me want to get to Mani faster so I woke up."

"Was it the lap dance dream?"

"Yeah. This is the third time this month I had that same dream. I think it means something."

"Yeah that you can't wait for Normani to get home so she can give you one."

"Man what ever you ready to go?"

"Yeah just checking your email."

"Anything good?"

"A few look decent but I can show you them later if you really want to know."

"Hmm well okay log out so we can go."

I grab my keys to the car while he locks the house up right behind me. The Sing Off shoots in New York but Normani just ended a Broadway show in Chicago so she wanted to come back home and see her babies(puppies) and pack before going to New York for the taping of the show. While we sit in the classic LA traffic I fall asleep in the car, but that was to be expected with the few hours of sleep I got last night. The adrenaline and excitement coursing through me can only go so far so it was probably for the best I did get some sleep. I feel the car stop so I know we're at the airport so I start to wake up to get out but Masi stops me from even unbuckling my seat belt.

"Whoa where are you going?"

"I'm going into the airport with you duh."

"No you are going to stay here while I go get them. I don't need you causing a scene in the airport.....again."

"Okay that was one time three years ago. Let it go."

"Yeah like you need to let go of the thought of going into LAX with me. Go back to sleep I'll be back in twenty minutes.

"Ugh fine just go. But if someone spots me in the car it's your fault!"

I move to the back of the car and use some of the jackets we always leave in the back as a pillow and blanket. Once I'm comfortable I fall back asleep and I don't wake up until Masi gets back to the car. I stir at the sound of the trunk being opened so I put two and two and figure that Masi is back with the girls. I sit up and stretch before getting out of the car and getting tackled by Normani. Luckily I was prepared for it otherwise we would have fell to the ground.

"Hi."

"Hi."

"I missed you so much."

"I missed you too, so damn much babe."

"Babe? Were you hanging out with Lauren while I was gone?"

"Maybe once or twice. She appreciates good reggae music, and she's chill so what."

"God I love you!"

She leans back in and kisses me nice and long and I hold her tighter to me so she doesn't fall and we just stand there kissing for the longest time until Masi says something that makes us stop.

"See this is what I wanted to avoid in the airport and right in front of the paps."

I put Normani down and start to go at him but she stops me.

"Let him talk babe he's just jealous he has no one."

"Ahahahahahahaha she got you!!!!"

"Man shut up and get in the car so we can go."

"Someone is cranky."

"Yeah and that's your fault."

"You could've got a nap in when I offered you one, the same time I did earlier. It wasn't my fault you said no then."

"Just get in the car Dinah."

"Fine."

I get in the backseat with Mani and Jilly drives off with Masi in the passenger seat already falling asleep. I cuddle up to Mani and use her boobs as a pillow and I fall asleep with Normani running her fingers through my hair. When I wake up we're in the driveway at home and Normani and I are the only two in the car. I assume Jilly and Masi are in the house with our bags and the only reason Mani didn't move is because I'm literally using her as a pillow.

"Hey. Good afternoon."

"Hey. I have a question."

"What is it?"

"Did I just wake up to an angel?"

"No babe it's just me. "

"Even better."

"You're so cute. I've missed this so much."

"You have no idea how much I missed you. I mean I didn't feel like I was home without you, even though you were the one out of town."

"The show is over now and I'm here to stay. Now lets go inside."

"Can we take a nap together?"

"Of course my love."

I smile and kiss her then get out of the car. I help her out of the car and she locks it before we go inside. On the way up to the room I grab Normani's bag that is sitting in the hallway and carry it to the room. That way if she isn't tired she can still have something to do while I sleep. We get up to our room and we both take off our pants and hoodies before laying down. I'm the little spoon this time because I know she's not as tired as I am so I don't want to keep her in bed whenever she wants to get up. I fall asleep almost instantly curled into her side and get the best sleep I've had in months. When I wake up I'm in bed alone and the shower is running in the bathroom. I start to stretch and fully wake up and I hear the shower turn off. Normani walks out the bathroom in her robe and heads to her dresser to put on some lotion. I watch her for a minute before making my presence known to her.

"Need any help? I could do your thighs?"

"Nice to see you're up you perv."

"Hey if I can't ogle my girlfriend who can I ogle?"

"No one but me!"

"Yes ma'am. What time is it?"

"A little after four. Why don't you go downstairs and get some food? They ordered something a while ago."

"Okay but I have a better view up here with you."

I grab my sweats and head downstairs but not without getting a kiss first. Downstairs Jilly and Masi are both in the kitchen on laptops. They're look pretty busy so I try to not interrupt them but I don't know what in the fridge is mine to eat and I'm starving.

"Hey what did you guys get me?"

"It's the tray right in front that says Dinah."

"Oh I didn't see it at first. Ooh tacos!"

While my food is heating up I talk to Jilly about an idea I had. We're going to New York tomorrow for a week and I want to see at least one show while we're there.

"Hey Jilly can you look up all the shows currently running on Broadway right now?"

"Sure no problem. Ooh Ally's show is still running want me to get you tickets?"

"Yeah go ahead what else is there?"

"Well it's not Broadway but Lauren is having an art showing for her new photos the day after your taping."

"And the show is when?"

"The show is running the whole week, your taping is Friday, and Lauren's show is Saturday."

"And our flight is Monday?"

"Yes and you are getting in the same day."

"Okay I think we'll be able to go to her showing and Ally's show while we're there. Can you two make a schedule of all the things we have to do in NY that week?"

"Sure no problem."

"Schedule for what babe?"

"Next week while we're in New York. We're gonna be busy but I wanted to fit in a show and Lauren has a showing that week."

I look up from my food at Normani and notice she's wearing my hoodie from earlier and a pair of sweats. I love it when she wears my clothes, she always looks so good in them. Don't get me wrong she always looks good in whatever she wears but she just looks extra good in my clothes.

"Is that my hoodie?"

"You know the answer to that question so why did you ask?"

"Just checking. So what do you think?"

"I think the schedule will be good because I want to see Ally's show too. It's been getting great reviews."

"Okay I'll set up the tickets."

"The trip is Monday to Sunday right?"

"Yes leaving on Sunday afternoon."

"We gotta start packing soon if we leave tomorrow afternoon."

"I know which is why I wasn't planning for us to do anything tonight. That wont stop people from coming over but we have no plans to leave the house."

"Well want are we gonna do about dinner then?"

"Your mom really needs to teach you how to cook sometime soon. We can order a bunch of stuff and have them go pick it up."

"Do Jilly or I not get a say in this?"

"I mean unless you want to quit or get fired not really no."

"Dinah that was harsh.....but accurate. Jilly do you have a problem with it?"

"No not at all. You always have me doing runs like this. I'll go get my shoes and keys right now."

As Jilly walks away I smirk and look at Masi. Knowing my cousin he's just making a scene before I pull his card and he caves. He knows I won't fire him and I know he's gonna end of going to get the food but these little battles make him feel like a man so I let him have his moment.

"Why don't you want to go Thomas?"

"Because I'm not your whipping boy Dinah! Jilly said she would go why do I have to go with her?"

"One because I asked you and it's your job and two I don't want Jilly to go out there by herself. It's going to get dark soon and while I know Jilly can take care of herself some of the creeps out there will leave her alone if she seen with you around because you look like a college football player because of your size. Now go with her."

"Okay."

As they leave I look over at Normani but she is on her phone placing the order for the food. She has my phone in her other hand so I take it from her to tweet for the second time today to let my fans know I'm not dead.

"@DinahJane97: Being with her makes me feel like I'm home again. She is my home. #NorminahReunion"

I hit send around the time she hangs up with the food place and her phone goes off. I know she has my tweets on notification just like I have hers on notification. I finish my text to Masi about what food place to go to and get tackled again by my aggressive girlfriend. I move away from the counter and walk with her attached to me all the way to the lounge chair. I shake her off me and then position myself so when she tackles me again I will have a soft landing.

"You ready?"

"Yup go."

She takes a few steps back and I make sure my phone is securely in my hand before she collides with me and we both fall on the lounger laughing. I turn around in Mani's grip and snake my arms around her waist and we just hold each other in silence for a while until she stars to speak.

"Did you really mean that?"

"What? You mean the tweet? Of course I meant it. Being here without you didn't feel right. Even when I was with other people I still felt uncomfortable because you are my comfort zone. I don't think there is anyone else in this whole world that gets me more than you, and I don't ever want to find out if there is because you're it for me Normani Kordei Hamilton."

"You sound like you're about to propose to me."

"Well I would be if I had a ring but trust me my proposal will be much bigger than just laying on the couch doing nothing."

"Okay I believe you. Now be quiet and let's cuddle until they get back. I sent them all the way across the city for Thai food, they shouldn't be back for another 30 minutes."

I laugh and does as she says. We end up cuddling for the entire time they were gone. Not really talking but enjoying each other's company. After they get back we all eat together before going to our separate rooms for the rest of the night. Jilly goes to start packing for tomorrow and Masi goes to his room and straight to sleep. Normani is running around our room from dresser to dresser grabbing things to put in her suitcase for tomorrow's flight. I already packed the other night, so I'm just watching her run around the room frantically. The majority of her clothes were in the suitcase when she got back are still dirty and won't be done washing until morning, and I know she'll want to take some of them with her so I start to stand up and calm her down so she can relax.

"What are you looking for?"

"My blue dress. I could have sworn it was clean last time I was here!"

"Calm down okay? You love that dress. It's probably just dirty and hasn't been taken to the cleaners yet."

"You're probably right and thinking back I did have it with me when I was in Chicago."

"See? Why don't we leave the bags alone for know. We're gonna end up going shopping in New York anyway. You're gonna need the room in your suitcase."

"This is why I love you. You're always so calming and relaxed even when things are stressful. You always keep a level head."

As she's talking she's leading back towards the bed and sits me down before straddling my lap reminding me of my dream last night.

"You know I think I had a dream that started out this way."

"Oh really what happens in this dream?"

"Well you give me a lap dance and then we have wild sex afterwards."

"You mean like the lap dance I gave you the night before I left for the musical?"

"Now that I think about it. It does remind me of that night, but my memory is kinda hazy. Mind refreshing it for me?"

"With pleasure my love."
