(2021 Edit) Chapter 1: Commencement

"Michael, I'm really worried about Sara. Who would have done this?" Akuno-oji said as he rocked a small baby with the startings of bleach blonde hair atop her small head. The young child smiled up at him, staring at him with icy blue angelic eyes, and tried to reach up and grab the black curling horns on his head. He gave a soft smile and placed his index finger gently into her miniature hand, preventing her from grabbing his horns. The wind blew gently, moving his abnormal white hair waving around his head. He used the slightest hint of magic and while the baby girl's attention was on his finger, he disguised his horns, making them disappear to allow himself to appear more human in a way. When she looked up at him again, she gave him a frown because something was different with his appearance from before. He sighed, "they don't even know what has happened. They are so innocent, so young, so fragile. And now they've been brought into a war between two great species."

"Then let's just keep them that way. We can't harm them in any way by involving them in this dilemma." Michael responded somewhat sourly as he held a slightly older, dark raven haired baby girl. When the baby smiled up at him, her bright green eyes glowing, he frowned and held it out to Akuno-oji. "Please take this demonic spawn. I'd rather have physical contact with one that is going to turn out to become a beautiful pride filled angel."

Akuno-oji sighed and handed the small blonde baby to the archangel. He took the dark haired babe and held her close. She pouted up at him, her bottom lip starting to quiver. He tried to calm her before she started wailing, but it was not enough. Her cries pierced the ashen colored stormy skies dotted with blacker than coal storm clouds.

Her cries triggered the other child and they cried in unison. Michael looked down at angelic babe in his arms and tried to shush her. He gently caressed her cheek, wiping away the tears. She pouted, or more like scowled up at him, and bit his thumb. He jumped in surprise, nearly dropping the child.

"I don't think she likes you!" Akuno-oji retorts over the wailing baby in his arms.

Frowning back at him, Michael responds all too seriously as he motions to the child in Akuno-oji's arms, "I don't think she likes you either."

Michael sighed and nodded. As soon as they switched children, the raven haired babe grew quiet and near instantly fell asleep in the archangel's arms. The other child began giggling and playing with the demon lord's hair, running her hands through and pulling gently.

"I'll put a concealing spell on them. Have them appear human, be human. I'll stop their powers from progressing until they reach a certain age or until they meet one of their own race, or a small number of other things. But I'll keep a close eye on them. I'll look after them. Michael, you have good resources. Look for my Sara and her husband."

"You mean Kaleb. My son." Michael sighed, frowning.

"They were in love, you know. No matter how much we may hate each other, they loved one another and set aside their differences, running away together." Akuno-oji shifted the child in his arms so he could comfort the archangel. He reached out to rest his hand on Michael's shoulder, but the other man moved too fast.

"Do not touch me, Satan! I do not wish to be contaminated by any more of your demonic negativity." He scowled and handed Akuno-oji the other sleeping babe. He turned his back to the other man and spoke to him from over his shoulder, "I will do what I can to find Sara and Kaleb. If I do, I will notify you as soon as possible. No one must know we are working together. Period! When we find them we'll sort everything out then."

With that, Michael burst out his pure white wings that spanned more than 20 feet in length. A ray of sunshine shone down on Michael from a small break in the stormy clouds and he shot up into the sky. When he disappeared above the clouds, the ray of sun disappeared and it began to rain down on the human city.

Akuno-oji looked down at the babies and blinked a few times, "I think my retinas were just burned with that amount of purity. Are you guys okay?"

The small blonde babe blinked a few times, shook her head gently, and buried her face into Akuno-oji's chest as he began walking in a direction to find the nearest orphanage, meanwhile the dark haired babe just stared up at the sky after the archangel.
