Hello fellow CountryHumans fans and welcome to "The Scars of The Past".  Thank you for choosing to read this book, it is my first real book and I truly hope you enjoy it.  But before you begin reading, there are some things I need to go over first. 

First things first, this book is not meant for children under 13 or for those with weak stomachs as it contains graphic scenes; both verbal and visual, cussing, and sensitive topics like the U.S.S.R. and WWII.  Speaking of visual, there will be art for every chapter that depicts a scene in it (scenes that have humans in them will have the humans designed similarly to those found in videos made by Felicia and Country Humans on YouTube, so credit to them) some of the art will have graphic imagery such as blood, fighting, and torture. 

Second, there are ideas here that are in other books (by my favorite people 0luv0love0 and KoffeeNPens) such as winged countries can sense other winged country's presents or emotions, and that entities have one or two black eyes, depending on if they are within a country or not [also credit to them]).  I have also written headcanon chapters in my randomness book so you can refer to those if you have any confusion about certain elements of this book.

Third, the main characters Mandara and Mandara Army are both my OCs and not a real country and entity.  If you have a question about them or any other character in this book, please feel free to ask them in my Ask and Dare book, or refer to their profile page in my Meet the Countries book.

Finally, this story is purely for entertainment and is not meant to be historically accurate, but I will still set a timeline.  This story is set in the last few years of the Cold War, even though the U.S.S.R is falling apart around this time, the countryhuman Ussr is still trying to spread communism in hopes of saving his "empire" from collapse, and the country of Mandara happened to be his closest option.
