"So now we have to look for another magical book that will probably get us all killed if it falls into the wrong hands?" Gomin said, summing up everything I told him.

I nodded my head. "Yup. That's pretty much it."

Danny whistled. "Life here never gets boring, does it?"

I glared at him. He quickly stammered. "I mean, it does get boring. I mean its not boring but it's pretty normal, just like back on earth. You know, if people on earth had magic."

I rolled my eyes. "I wasn't planning on telling the others. But I decided it was better they all knew, that way they can also help us look. But only the royalties, no one else should know."

Gomin nodded. "Ya that's smart. Who have you told?"

"I told Sinaya, Rodger, Kameron and my parents. My parents and Sinaya called a meeting and are telling the other royalties as we speak. So James and Jordan will probably know."

Danny nodded. "So what's the plan?"

"Well, we are going to find The Older Twin." I announced.

Danny and Gomin both stared at me.

I rolled my eyes. "We found The Great Book or The Younger Twin or whatever it's called."

"But The Older Twin has been lost for centuries. No one even knows it exists other than Jemin and maybe a few others." Gomin said. "We aren't even sure that Red Eyes is looking for it."

"Well what else can we do? Yes, we aren't sure she is looking for it but we can't risk it."

Danny nodded. "You're right. So do we have a lead?"

I glared at Danny and his eyes went wide. "What?" He asked.

"No we don't have a lead." I muttered.

"Well, you go and search stuff up in the library cause you like that stuff and Danny and I will do some research here."

"You guys are going to play video games, aren't you?"

Gomin smiled at me. "You know us so well."

"So your still geek-ing around?" I hear a cocky voice say.

I look away from the book I was reading to find Kasdar leaning against the door frame, a smirk on his face.

"What do you want?" I demanded.

"Wow. Aren't you just sweet today." He replies, taking a seat next to me.

"Yup. As sweet as always." I said.

Kasdar looked at the book I was reading. It was one I found at the very back of the library that talked about the old days and the powerful people who lived back then. I thought maybe it would mention something about powerful books that were used back then.

"What are you reading?"

I quickly closed the book. "Nothing important."

Kasdar frowns. "Ok then."

"Anyway, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Just wanted to hang out with you. I'm bored."

"Why don't you go play video games with Danny and Gomin. Boys like that."

Kasdar rolled his eyes. "Those two boys and I don't really like each other, if you haven't noticed."

I chuckled. "I have. If it makes you feel better, Danny and Gomin are always arguing as well. I'll never get boys."

Kasdar chuckled. "Well us guys will never get girls."

"Did Kasey come with you?"

"No. She's hanging out with some friends from school."

"Oh ok."

There was complete silence but it wasn't awkward. It was actually comfortable.

"Danny, Gomin and I are planning to watch a movie at the theater. Wanna join?"

Kasdar shrugged. "I have nothing better to do so I guess it wouldn't hurt."

But he couldn't hide that small smile on his face.

"I can't believe you did that!" Gomin cried out.

I smirked.

"That was horrible! You are so cruel." Danny complained.

"It wasn't that bad." I said, laughing.

"You lied and said that we were watching an action movie but dragged us into a romance movie." Danny said.

"Revenge for going to the mall without me." I replied.

"Oh my gosh, get over that!" Gomin said.

Danny looked over at Kasdar. "How come you still haven't complained?"

Kasdar shrugged. "It wasn't that bad."

Both boys stared at him, their mouths wide open as I laughed.

"It's been a while since I hung out with friends so I didn't mind that."

Danny smirked. "Did Mister 'I don't care about anyone' just call us his friends?"

Kasdar realized his mistake and blushed. He blushed!

"Whatever. Don't get all sappy." He snapped at Danny.

Danny put his hands up in an I surrender gesture.

Suddenly Danny's phone started ringing. He took it out of his pocket and answered.

"Hello." he said.

After a while his face went pale. "We'll be right there!" He said

"What's wrong?" I asked as Danny put away his phone.

"Mickey, we were supposed to meet up with Hilary today! Remember we begged her to meet as at McDonalds? That was Davis and he is really pissed off. He said to hurry up."

"Oh shoot! I completely forgot. I lost count of time!"

We both said bye to Gomin and Kasdar and quickly called for The Door. We decided to take a risk and go to a park that was near McDonalds.

Luckily no one was around. We raced to McDonald's. Hilary was sitting by the window, looking outside. She had a drink in front of her.

We walked up to her and she snapped her head towards us.

"Glad you finally remembered you had a friend and decided to show up." she bitterly said.

"Hil, we are so sorry!" I said, taking a seat next to her.

Danny followed my lead and sat down.

"So what's the reason?" Hilary asked.

Danny and I looked at each other. We didn't have enough time to come up with a good explanation.

"Wow. You can't even tell me that much. It's fine. I already called Davis to pick me up."

"Hilary, please don't go." Danny said.

"I won't go if you tell me the truth. What are you guys hiding from me?" Hilary asked.

No one replied.

"At least tell me why you guys were late?" Hilary said.

Still no one replied.

She shook her head. "You know what hurts? I've always been the third wheel. You two were friends before me. But I didn't mind. So I get it if you guys keep something from me. But Gomin, who you haven't known as long as me, knows this secret as well."

Danny and I looked at each other, shocked but didn't reply.

"You can't even deny it. It's nice to see that you trust Gomin more than you trust me." she said, tears in her eyes. She got up.

"Hilary, please." I tried desperately.

She shook her head and walked out.

We sat in silence for five minutes.

"We are the worst friends in history." Danny said.

I nodded.

"The least we could have done was remember we had plans with her." Danny continued.

I nodded.

"But instead we went to the movies with Gomin and Kasdar, had fun while she sat here on her own."

I nodded.

Danny and I sighed.

"Trouble in paradise." A voice interrupted us.

A chill went over my body. I knew that voice somewhere.

I looked up. And froze.

"Can we help you?" Danny asked.

Of course, he doesn't know who they are. He never met a Malign before. But I knew a Malign when I saw one. With their fully green eyes and V on their temple, they were hard to miss. But I knew these two kids personally.

"What are you doing here?" I demanded.

Danny must have noticed their green eyes and realized who they were.

Brad hadn't changed much. He looked older but still had that scar that made it possible for others to tell him apart from his twin, Brayn.

Brayn smirked. "Just thought we'd come for a visit."

"How did you find me?" I demanded.

Brad shrugged. Brayn didn't reply.

"Where have you been? Where are the rest? Where is Jared and Cole?" I demanded.

"Wow there. Calm down will you." Brayn said.

"Is this how you treat an old friend? At least offer us a drink or something." Brad said with a smirk.

Danny glared at the two. He must hate them. They were the ones who captured him after all.

"Well as much as we'd like to stay and chit chat, we should be on our way. King Jared doesn't like to be kept waiting." Brad said.

"Wait!" I demanded. I raised my hands up, outstretched.

Brad and Brayn raised their eye brows then looked around them. "You wouldn't really expose us in public now, would you?"

I looked around me and realized people were starting to stare. I slowly put my hand back down to my side.

"Good. At least you're not as dumb as you used to be." Brayn said.

Danny glared at him. "What do you want?"

Brad looked at Danny. "So you told your human friend? Cool."

"So Mickey, we haven't given our congratulations. We heard about your ability to do magic. Impressive, half human half Lari doing magic."

"What do you want?" I asked, ignoring his statement.

"Just wanted to say hi." Brayn replied.

"So you guys are living among humans now? You must have started to like them since you've been here for three years." I said, knowing it would strike a nerve.

Brad and Brayn both grimaced. "Humans are horrid." Brad said.

I rolled my eyes.

"Well, we should go now. King Jared is probably done doing what he needs to do. Lets go." Brad said.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Later." Brayn called out and they both left.

"Wow." Was all I could say.

"Wow." James said, after I told the royalties what happened at McDonalds.

"That's exactly what my reaction was." I replied.

We were having a meeting because I needed to tell them what happened.

"I can't believe this. This whole time they were on Earth, living amongst humans." King Destin said.

Jordan sighed. "Is it just me or has the amounts of meetings we are having increased? Not only that but news gets worse each time."

James groaned. "This is why I don't want to be a king."

Jordan rolled her eyes. "So what should we do?"

"I think we should get our best trained soldiers and place them all around Earth." King Philip.

Queen Ella nodded. "That's actually a good idea. They can pretend to be normal humans but keep an eye on things."

"Why haven't we thought about doing this before?" Queen Linda said, shaking her head.

"Guys, I know we are having a very important meeting but I have a question." James said

Everyone waited for him to continue.
James looked at Danny, who was nervous to be attending this meeting but had to since we didn't want to forget any details.

"What's the human doing here?"

Everyone rolled their eyes and Jordan smacked him on the head.

"What, I'm serious!" James exclaimed.

Gomin rolled his eyes. "You know some of us here are half human."

Wait. Was Gomin defending Danny...... It must be the end of the world.

James put his hands up. "I meant no offense."

Sorak cleared his throat, trying to get everyone's attention.

"Guys, its a very good idea, planing to put 'guards' around earth. But will that help? I mean, the Maligns and Damtals must be hiding."

"I don't think so. I mean, they've probably been hiding this whole time but gave up." James replied.

"I agree with James. I mean, we did just find two Maligns at McDonalds." Danny stated.

"Am I the only one whose a little suspicious?" Jordan asked.

Everyone looked at Jordan, a confused look on their faces.

"Think about it. If King Jared wanted to stay hidden, do you think Brad and Brayn would have literally walked up to Mickey? What if there's a hidden agenda?"

Everyone went silent, thinking about what Jordan said.

"I think Jordan has a fair point. Unless Brad and Bryan aren't working for King Jared." King Destin said.

"Or maybe King Jared wants us to think there is a secret agenda but there really isn't." Gomin continued.

"Ugh. Ok enough! I have a headache." Tara said.

"You and I both, mom." I replied.

"Ok. Meeting is over. It's been a long day, lets all go to sleep." Queen Ella said.

King Philip looked at his watch and exclaimed. "It's almost 2AM. You guys must all be tired."

As if on cue, Danny Gomin and I yawned.

"Awww the young little children are tired." James teased.

All three of us glared at him, causing him to laugh.

I yawned. "Guys, I'm using my magic ability to transport myself. Whose coming?" I asked.

Danny and Gomin both got up, ready to leave.

"You kids go ahead. Sorak and I need to do something before coming home." Tara said.

I shook my head. "You guys need rest. I'll see you later then."

I grabbed Gomin and Danny's hand and before anyone can say anything, we were in my room.

"Wow. What a night?" I said looking at Danny and Gomin. "I'm tired. Should we go back to Earth or- guys what's wrong?"

Gomin and Danny were both staring behind me, shocked.

When they didn't answer, I turned around but saw nothing out of place. I was about to ask what shocked them when I spotted it.

I groaned. This couldn't have happened at least tomorrow? Why today? I'm tired!

Another letter was sitting on my bed.
