Author's POV

Nayeon looks down to her hand and plays with her nails. She can't calm her heartbeat, it feels like her heart ready to explode anytime. And that time, when she hears Luhan's father clearing his throat, her heart beats so fast and it makes her legs weak.

"So, you can't speak chinese, right?" Luhan's father asks Nayeon in a fluent english. Nayeon slowly lifts her chin up, she is glad that his father talks in english. She has a confidence in that language.

"Yes" Nayeon answers calmly and smiles. She just looks into Luhan's father, she has no courage to look into Luhan's mother. Mother in law is the scariest.

"Please take a seat first" His father's gentle voice makes Nayeon more relax. She slowly takes a seat, she really is scared to make mistakes infront of them.

"Auntie" Min shouts to Nayeon as he smiles cutely to her. Nayeon smiles back and ruffles his hair. For a while she forgets about the in law infront of her.

"Your name is Nayeon, right?" Luhan's father asks her again, it makes Nayeon jolts on her seat and straighten her posture on the chair.

"Yes" Nayeon smiles awkwardly and tries to avoid Luhan's father's gaze. But unluckily, her gaze meets Luhan's mother's gaze. It was deep and intense. She shivers over Luhan's mother's gaze.

"From what I see, I think you're confused about this situation, this is about our past, since Luhan already chooses you as his fiance, I think you're worth to know" Luhan's father sighs and looks into Nayeon's eyes. Nayeon feels surprise because from his eyes, he asks for her help.

And with that, the story begins. Nayeon discovers Luhan's past and she can't believe it. Luhan really has a scar that just time who could heal it. Even it hurts her to know his past, but she feels like she knows him fully.

Lufei returns to the dining room alone, she just remembers about Nayeon. When she steps in to the dining room, everybody stares at her.

"Where is Han?" Her mother asks but Lufei jus turns her eyes to Nayeon.

"Are you alright?" Lufei asks Nayeon. Nayeon just nods and gives a smile to Lufei. Nayeon herself really can't believe what's just happen. Luhan's father openly tells her everything, talking in a gentle and fatherly voice, all make her feels secure. But the problem is Luhan's mother never speaks even a word to Nayeon.

"Where is Luhan?" Nayeon asks when the one she waits for never showed up.

Lufei sighs hard as she stares at Nayeon "He left" Lufei informs to Nayeon. In that second, Nayeon feels really sad, she can't believe Luhan left her alone here.

"Dad, mom, Han still needs time, please don't push him" Lufei explains to her parents and her parents nod with a depressed expression.

"Maybe we caused a deep scar" Luhan's father talks with a teary eyes. He always feels sorry for Lufei and now he will endlessly apologize to his only son.

"Please Ms! I'm begging you!" That scream comes from the living room, it causes everybody to turn their face to see who is coming. Lufei's face full of panic until she asks one of her maid to bring Min away.

From the other side of dining room, Nayeon stiffen like a statue. It just like a nightmare for her. Yoo Eunha, Yoo Inna's daughter barges in to Lufei's mansion with no manner. Nayeon knows Eunha will destroy her pride and her life infront of Luhan's family.

"Please, I need to safe Luhan" Yoo Eunha yells to the maid and pushes the maid slightly. Eunha really needs to bring Nayeon down infront of Luhan's family.

"Mr. and Mrs. Lu, she is Jang Nayeon, the daughter of a criminal" Yoo Eunha points her finger at Nayeon after she escaped from Lufei's maid. Nayeon stands up from her seat and faces Eunha. Nayeon's eyes burn in flames, she is mad but she holds her anger.

"Ah, I'm sorry, I should talk in chinese, Mr. and Mrs. Lu, she is the daughter of a criminal that I told you, look at her dressed like a slut" Yoo Eunha talks in chinese and Nayeon didn't understand.

Luhan's parents and Lufei just keep calm and listen to every bullshit Yoo Eunha said. They just need the right timing to kill Eunha in one shoot.

"Yoo Eunha, if I was a daughter of a criminal, then you're no different with me" Nayeon talks between her teeth. Nayeon is already upset because of Luhan and now she is upset with the situation.

"How dare you" Yoo Eunha yells at Nayeon and pulls her hair harshly. Nayeon can't fight back because she is too surprise to react. Without the realization, Yoo Eunha shows her true color.

"Enough" Luhan's father talks as he stands up. Luhan's mother follows him behind. They approach Nayeon and Eunha. Both of them froze on their place.

"Look at her, the way she dressed shows she has no intelligence" Eunha smiles lovingly to Luhan's parents. The sly fox tries hard to make it as Nayeon's end.

"Of course" Luhan's mother finally opens her lips. Eunha really feels so happy because Luhan's mother agreed with her, but her happiness vanished when Luhan's mother continues her sentence.

"But attitude shows everything, your character, your brain, and your heart" Luhan's mother snaps at Eunha and stares at Nayeon with a soft stare.

"Are you alright?" Luhan's mother asks Nayeon in english as she pulls Nayeon into her warm embrace. Nayeon gasps as she feels the warmness spreading to her skin. She doesn't know why but she starts crying on Luhan's mother's embrace.

"Fei, I don't want to see this girl anymore" Luhan's mother talks to Fei but her eyes glare to Eunha. Eunha lets her mouth hang agape. She can't believe what just happened to her life. She plans to break Nayeon's life not hers.

"What is this? She is a criminal, she is not worth to be Luhan's fiance------" Eunha pauses when Lufei's maids grab her wrist "Stop it! Let me go! Luhan is mine only!" Eunha screams loudly as the maids start dragging her out.

"Everything is alright, we know everything, and we trust you" Luhan's mother whispers to Nayeon as she strokes her hair gently.

The gentle gesture successfully makes Nayeon cry even harder. Luhan's mother didn't talk even a word to her and the first sentence that comes out from her mouth was the heart warming words. Maybe the reason why Nayeon cries is she never expect this kind of affection from her, she already prepared for the worst.

"We trust you, our daughter in law" As the sentence rolls out from Luhan's mother's lips, Nayeon gets a reassurance that they give their blessing. The blessing for Luhan and Nayeon to become one. One forever.

Because the night become deeper, Lufei drives Nayeon to her apartment. Lufei really feels relief because her parents take Nayeon as Luhan's fiance. She feels happy too because her parents give Nayeon their blessing.

"Should I walk you to the apartment?" Lufei asks Nayeon as they arrive at the lobby. Nayeon hurriedly shakes her head and smiles.

"I'm okay jie, thank you so much" Nayeon gives Lufei a reassuring smile.

"Nayeon" Suddenly Lufei takes her hand and holds it tight. She looks into her eyes and caresses the back of Nayeon's hand.

"Please take care of our Luhan" Lufei smiles for the last time and lets Nayeon walk out from the car.

As she walks in to the lobby, she turns on her heels and waves to Lufei. After she watches Lufei's car disappear on the corner, she walks to the lift and goes up to her floor. Today, she feels terribly happy and terribly sad. She is happy because she could meet Luhan's parents and they like her. But she is sad because Luhan left her alone, she feels upset but she tries to understands Luhan. His past strikes right at his old scar so Nayeon needs to understand his feeling.

The apartment was dark and quiet but Nayeon feels the breeze brush her hair. She turns her face to the balcony and she finds the door open. She walks closer to the balcony and she gets a clear sight of Luhan's back. He is still on his black shirt but it a little mess.

"Luhan" Nayeon whispers as she wraps her arms around his waist. The backhug didn't last long because Luhan broke it first. Nayeon feels hurt because Luhan avoids her but she feels the real pain when Luhan starts talking.

"Leave me alone" His voice is cold. As cold as an ice.

"Luhan" Nayeon's tone begs to him, her hand reaches out to touch his arm but he easily slaps her hand away.

"Don't make me repeat myself" Luhan starts raising his tone and Nayeon starts to feel her heart break into pieces. She knows that Luhan is depressed but it's still affecting her.

"I get it" Nayeon talks lowly, almost inadubly. She slowly backs off and runs to the bathroom.

There, she turns on the shower and cries. Her tears stream down her face along with the cold water. She wants to understand him but she is just a human, a girl who can feel pain when her boy talked and acted like that. She could feel upset.

After a while, the intensity of her tears decreases. She turns the cold water into a warm one. She starts taking off her clothes and clears her thought below the shower.

After the shower, Nayeon immediately goes to the bed. She wraps herself with a blanket and closes her eyes eventhough she knows she won't sleep tonight. She just needs to pretend like one. She doesn't want to see Luhan again tonight, not in this situation.

On the other hand, Luhan walks in to the apartment and closes the door behind. He walks pass the bed and he doesn't spare a glance, he walks straight to the bathroom.

The realization comes when the warm water pouring him. All he did to Nayeon is wrong. He shouldn't treat her like she was the cause of this trouble. She is innocent and he just throws his anger to her because there is noone beside her. Now the guilt starts consuming him and his heart.

For Nayeon, she hears everything, the sound of his footsteps, the sound of the shower, and the sound of the door being opened. Right when she hears Luhan's step getting closer to the bed, she snuggles to the bed and controls her breathing.

It was not hard for Luhan to know that Nayeon wasn't sleep. When he lays beside her and the bed weights down, Nayeon jerks slightly from her position. A sigh leaves Luhan's lips as he stares at Nayeon's back, he really feels sorry for what he has done to her.

Slowly, Luhan comes closer to Nayeon and wraps his arms around her waist. Gasp leaves Nayeon's lips as the reaction to an unexpected gentle gesture. She was taken aback when she felt his strong arms sending a warm vibe to her, those arms start pulling her even closer to him, closing the gap between them.

"Sorry" He whispers to her. His lips press to her hair and his hand intertwins her cold hand.

"Please forgive me, darling" Another apology slips his tongue and strokes her ears. It was sweet until she can't hold her own tears. Her body starts shaking on his embrace and it's enough for Luhan to know how much he hurts her.

"Ssssshhh" Luhan pulls his lips from her hair and he turns her body around. Now he gets to see her clearly, he gets to see her tears.

"Yeon-ah" Luhan furrows his brows slightly as he bites his lips. Nayeon's eyes meet his eyes but the eye contact didn't last, Nayeon throws herself into his embrace and hides her face on his chest while she cries hardly. Luhan did nothing but pulls her into his embrace and lets her cry.

No words escape his lips. Just his hand goes up and down, stroking her back softly, showing how much he feels sorry for treating her like that. As the time passes, she becomes calmer and she could breath normally. That moment, Luhan lifts her chin up and their eyes meet.

"Luhan----"

"Sssssh, you need to rest, let's just talk tomorrow, okay?" Luhan cuts her off.

"I really sorry for what I've done today" He continues as he intensely stares deep into her eyes. Nayeon just nods her head and gives a light grip on Luhan's waist. The next second, Luhan already caresses Nayeon's cheek as he leans closer to her. He closes the gap between their lips and gives her a long tender kiss.

The kiss is so romantic and intimate. Their lips nibbles slowly and their body press into each other, sending a warm shiver into one another. That kiss is their kind of conciliation. That kiss is their media to feel each other's heart and to understand each other's feeling.
