When you woke up you gave a glance at the clock, it was already 9:00 AM! You had a meeting with Lady Tsunade at 10:00, about some mission she wanted you to attend. You attempted to get up, but soon realized that Kakashi had his arm around your waist. You slowly moved his arm, and got out of his grip. You were still naked from last night, so quietly got some clothes together, and changed in the living room, since Kakashi was still asleep, and you didn't want to disturb him. Once you were fully clothed, and ready to go meet Lady Tsunade, you went over and gave Kakashi a quick kiss on the lips. He stirred a little bit was still fast asleep, so you went back to the living room, and wrote a quick note for him, it said :
"Hey, you're probably wondering where I am... I have a meeting with Lady Tsunade at 10:00 , I'll be around town if you need me,
(Y/n)"
Then you left. You walked out the door of your apartment, and locked it behind you.
once you stepped out the door you saw Gai he was looking at you with wide eyes,
"(Y/n)! Have you seen Kakashi?" He said looking at you curiously.
"No I haven't sorry." You give him a big fake smile.
"Oh odd, I thought I heard his voice last night." He said while winking.
"Oh, I mean he came by early last night, but that was it. I asked him to help me with a Jutsu technique" you say innocently.
"Why didn't you ask me?!" He says offended. Clearly he was offended that you asked Kakashi and not him.
"Uhh. No offense , but he's my sensei,... I should ask him for stuff... not another sensei I barley know..." you say slowly trying not to offend Gai.
"Oh. Well I'm the best sensei around, so if you ever need help."
he said in a proud, but hurt tone.
"Hey Gai Sensei!" Lee said cheerfully from the street.
You could see that Gai was distracted, so you took this opportunity to leave.
You walked to the Hokage building, which was about 10 minutes away from your apartment. Once you got there, you saw Izuma and Kotetsu carrying large stacks of books up the stairs.
"Hey Kotetsu, hey Izuma" you say smiling, while waving at them.
They were both looking ahead of them, and had books blocking their view. You wanted to see if they could figure out it was you walking up the stairs behind them.
"Hello" they both said.
"Can you guess who it is?" You said.
"That's too easy. Your voice is so recognizable,
(Y/n)"
Kotetsu said. Both of them let out a laugh.
"Yeah (y/n), that was no challenge! You could of attempted to lower your voice or something!"
Izuma stated laughing
"Oh shut up! I haven't seen you two idiots in so long, I figured you wouldn't remember my beautiful voice." You said laughing.
You all laughed. You've known both Izuma and Kotetsu since you were very young, your parents were good friends with theirs, so often they would come over. They were close to 6 years older then you. They were 15 when your parents were murdered, you were only 9.
"So, are you going to see the Hokage?" Kotetsu asked.
"Yeah, she has an A ranked mission for me to do" you said carefree.
"An A-ranked mission!? Your only a genin though!" Izuma said with a worried tone.
"Yeah, are you sure your going to take it?" Kotetsu said cautiously.
"I don't see why I shouldn't. It'll depend on what the mission is." You state flatly.
When you all got to the Hokages office door, both Izuma and Kotetsu walked in, and told you to wait.
Izuma opened up the door, and let you come in.
You walked in, and saw Lady Tsunade in her chair reading a rather large book on human anatomy and physiology. You looked to the right and saw shizune holding Tonton.
"Ahh..hello (Y/n)! I see your perfectly on time. Good! I have a important mission I need you to take. Shizune, show her."
You watched as Lady Tsunade went back to reading, while Shizune put down Tonton, and rolled out the map. She grabbed a meter long stick to point out where they were looking.
"Ok , so the mission is going to start in the land of The Mountains, it's a long journey from here, and you'll have to take a boat from the Land of Whirlpools to get there."
She points out on the map.

After looking at the map, Shizune puts it away and steps back to let Lady Tsunade explain the mission.
"In the land of The Mountains, there's a village named Aghere. They're taking their leader to a festival that is taking place in the land of the Rivers, and you and your team's mission is to help escort their leader, Akane, to the festival safely. Their military are low on people due to other countries wiping them out. There are many people that want Akane dead, and there are high paying rewards for his head. Im assigning you to lead three others, and a Jonin of your choice, to go with you."
"Yes mam, Akane will make it to the festival and back safely!"
"Good. Now go choose who will go with you. I want you, and your team on your way there no later then 3:00 this afternoon!" She ordered.
"Thank you." you say, as you go to leave.
"And (Y/n) , be careful!" Tsunade says.
You turn around confidently, and say
"I will."
As you walk out, you hear Tsunade order Izuma and Kotetsu to walk you out, so you wait for them outside of her office.
"(Y/n), are you crazy?" Kotetsu says.
"What are you thinking??!!" Izuma adds.
"Guys relax, I'll be fine. My team mates will be fine,  and Lord Akane will be fine."
You smile, trying to reassure them.
"What are we supposed to do if you get hurt!?"
You turned around, and see that they're both  insanely worried for you, especially Kotetsu. Kotetsu and you were closer, than you were to Izuma. Though they were both like brothers to you. They would both risk their lives if it meant saving yours.
"You guys, I'll be ok! I promise, I'll choose my team wisely!" You say trying to get them stop worrying.
"Fine..." they both say, as if they were agreeing to something.
You pulled them into a hug, and they hugged back.
"I'll miss you guys! Be safe, and make sure no one robs my apartment when I'm gone!" You laugh.
"You know we have things handled here. Just be careful (Y/n). You're like our little sister we never had."
You guys talk for a little bit longer, but you tell them you have to go. It was already 11:30, so you had only a few hours to pick your team, and get packed. Tsunade told you that this mission may go as long as 2-3 months.
You walk around town carefully deciding who to recruit. You didn't fully realize it, until you were walking down the street, but you were the squad leader of this mission! You laughed, knowing you will have authority over people,
'that'll be scary'
you thought to yourself, laughing.
"Hey, (y/n)" Sakura says.
You look over to your right, and see Sakura standing there.
"Hey!" You say cheerfully. You thought about if you should take Sakura or not, but you decided not to.

((Note: I don't have anything against Sakura! I think she's a good character , even though I know a lot of people dislike her...))

"Hey listen, I have to go, but we should hang out when I get back" you say starting to walk away.
"For sure!" She says smiling.
You and her weren't close friends, but she definitely wasn't the worst friend you had either. You walked around a little more, and pondered about what Jonin to bring with you. You really wanted to pick Kakashi, but wanted to consider all of the options you had. Would it be the best decision? You wouldn't want to have your feelings get in the way of the mission. Although, Kakashi was one of the best, if not the best jonin. After thinking about it for a bit, you decided to choose him. Now to choose the other three people. You end up choosing Neji as one of your squad mates. His byakugan could come in handy. It could scan the area we are in every once in a while. You decided to also ask Naruto to come along. He has his rasengan, which could be useful in close combat. You wanted the last person you picked to be smart, fast, and capable of handling themselves in a fight.
'I got it!'
You run to the Nara house and ask Shikamaru if he wants to go. He agrees, so you tell him all the details of the mission. You then find Neji and Naruto, and do the same. You all went and got ready. It was already 12:45, and you wanted to leave early. You went to Kakashi's apartment, you figured he had gone home after he got up. You knock on the door, and it opened to Kakashi standing at the doorway looking tired as fuck.
"Did yuu leave my place only to go to your place and sleep some more?" you tease, he moves out of the way to let you in. He yawns and says
"Maybe. Anyways so how was your meeting with Lady Tsunade?"
"It was good..." you say, you hadn't told him yet  that it was a mission that you and Tsunade talked about.
"What?" He asks
"Lady Tsunade asked me to go on a A-ranked mission. I'm squad leader, and I got to choose three other squad mates plus a Jonin to come along" you stated.
"Wait... your going on a A-ranked mission!?" He said in shock.
"Yes, its to protect a leader, named Akane" you explain.
"I'm going." He said obviously being overprotective.
"Yes, actually you are." you laughed.
"What? Seriously??"
"I get to pick a Jonin to assist, and I thought you'd be the best choice." you say Cutely with a smile on your face.
"Oh and by the way, if I were you I'd start packing... we leave at 2:30!" You say excitedly.
You both look at the time, it's currently 1:00.
"Ok. Let's get packing" he says
"And Kakashi.... We are NOT going to be late. got it?" You say, making sure he understands that there was no way in hell you were going to be late to your own departure.
"Alright, alright " he chuckles.
"Well, I got to go pack, so I'll meet you at the village entrance NO later then 2:30! Got it?" You say emphasizing the "no later."
You already liked the idea of being squad leader, for now at least. You walked over to Kakashi and gave him a quick kiss, and walked towards the door to head to your apartment. Once there you went straight to your room, and started to pack.
"This is going to be a long mission" you breathed out a sigh.
"At least it'll pay well. Then I can finally buy my apartment. It'll be nice not spending so much on rent every month."
When you were finished packing you glanced at the clock it was 2:10.
"Perfect, that'll give me enough time to walk to the entrance, and still be early!"
You made sure you had everything, and walked out the door. After walking for a couple minutes you got to the entrance of the village. You checked the time again, it was 2:25.
'the others have 5 minutes to get here!'
A couple minutes later, everyone showed up.
"Hello everyone, thank you for agreeing to go on the mission with me. As you know, a feudal lord named Akane needs us to protect him on his way to a festival that will be held in the land of The Mountains, to get there we will take a boat, and we are to escort him and his remaining guards back to their village safely after the festival is over."
They all look at you and nod.
"I was picked to be squad leader, so you all will follow my orders." You say sternly.
They all nod in agreement.
"Well then, shall we begin our journey?" You say happily.
"Yeah lets go guys!!!" Says Naruto as he's running down the path.
"Naruto! Stay with the group!" You yell after him.
"You guys are slow though!! He whines
"Naruto, I'm in charge..." you say reminding him
"Oh.... alright " he says with an attitude, as he comes back to the group.
"So Neji, when we are escorting Akane to the festival I'll need you to use your Byakugan every once in a while to make sure we are not being ambushed. Can you handle that?"
You look over to Neji.
"Yes." He says simply.
"Shikamaru, i want you to help me make a plan, so in case we do get ambushed, we can deal with it in the most effective way possible." You then look at Shikamaru.
"What a drag.... , but yes I'll help" he says sounding bored out of his mind.
"Hey you agreed to come along"
"Yeah I know... doesn't mean it's not a drag though" he flatly responds.
"Naruto, your shadow clones will come in handy when we're under attack. I also want you to use your rasengan if we end up in a tough battle."
"Ok! I'm going to wipe the floor with all these enemies! BELIEVE IT!" He says proudly.
"And lastly, Kakashi. You are our most powerful ninja, so we'll need your help when facing enemies. If we run into anyone like the 7 swordsman, I'll need you to use your Sharnigan. I also will need you to pay close attention when we are guarding Akane, in case I miss something."
"Got it" Kakashi says flatly.
"I chose you four because of your intelligence, ability in combat, and your personality. I want to thank you all again for taking up this mission. I'm hoping this will be an easy escort mission, but a lot of people will pay a pretty penny for Akane's head."

After walking for a couple hours it was starting to get dark, so you decided to tell everyone to start making camp for the night. There was 2 tents, a large one and a smaller one, the large one could fit 3 people and the smaller one could fit 2.
"Naruto, Neji, and Shikamaru you guys will sleep in the larger tent, while me and Kakashi get the smaller tent."
Neji and shikamaru both agreed to the sleeping situation, and went back to setting up the tents. Naruto went to fetch water from a nearby river. After he returned he went up to you and asked:
"If me, Shikamaru, and Neji are in this tent does that mean you and Kakashi sensei will share a tent?"
"Yes? Why?"
"Oh ok. I was just wondering." Naruto said giggling. He then went back to setting up the tents with the other two. Kakashi was down by the river. He was attempting to catch fish. You decided to go down there and help him, and asked Naruto to get wood for a fire.
You slowly walk down the path to the river.
"Hey, need any help?"
You notice that he had already caught four fish, and trying to catch one more. A moment later a fish comes along - close enough to catch.
"Good job!" You say cheering him on.
You guys started heading back, you helped him carry two of the five fish back to the camp area. Naruto had already gathered a good amount of sticks for the fire. After Kakashi put down the fish, he used his fire jutsu to light it. Once everybody had cooked, and ate their fish it was close to 8:00 pm, and was already dark out so you told everyone to get some rest, because tomorrow would be an even longer, tiring day. Everyone says goodnight, and disappears inside their tents. You see Kakashi go into the tent you too are sharing, but decide to check to make sure your surroundings are safe. A couple minutes pass, and you decide that everything looks clear, so you join Kakashi in the tent. Once in the tent you find Kakashi reading Itcha Itcha with a tiny candle he must've brought along.
"Hey perv." you say smiling.
"Hey, girlfriend of the so called "perv" he smiles back, and you both laugh. It was weird hearing the word girlfriend, you've had passed relationships, but none of them were like the connection you had to Kakashi. You laid down next to him, and said
"We should get some rest, and you should stop reading porn!"
"It's not porn!" He says defending his precious book then he laughs.
"Ok then I'll make it easy for you!" You smile and wonder what his reaction will be to what your gonna ask.
"Me or that porn book?" You say trying not to laugh.
He looked at you surprised, then looked back at his book
"How is that a easy choice?!" He says dramatically.
You start laughing.
"You're an idiot" You tease.
He pulls down his mask and kisses you goodnight.
You cuddle with each other until you both drift asleep.
