You tensed up, you were in a fighting stance. With kakashi at your side. With your kunai our, you were ready for this fight. It was around 5:00 pm, so you knew it was going to get dark soon.
"You should back down, before it's too late. We have you 5 to one, kuro."
"Do you now?" Kuro smirks.
You immediately yell at the group
"Everyone back up!"
Right as you said that, 3 more men come from behind Kuro.
"So. You were saying?" Kuro laughs and smiles.
You can tell that your group is getting more tense.
"Back down. This is your last chance." You say with a stern voice. Kuro smiles and says
"Not happening, princess."
"Watch how you speak to her!" Kakashi yells.
Kuro just laughs.
You give Kakashi a loving look, but quickly tie your face into seriousness.
Kuro grabs from his back a huge metal blade, and the other 3 others grab their weapons as well.
You get your kunai ready, it wouldn't do too much, but maybe if you use shurikenjutsu with chakra flow, with some genjutsu, you and the rest will be able to beat them!
As the fighting begins, 2 more of Akane's men show up. You weren't able to clearly tell who they were... that is until you saw 15 Naruto's running around. You look back to see the other ninja that was there. It was Shikamaru , he was fighting one of Kuro's men. You turned your focus to your opponent, standing 7 feet tall, with a 4 foot blade in hand. Kuro stood before you and Kakashi, with a evil grin marked all over his face. Then suddenly, your body locked up. Kuro took advantage of this and swung his sword at you, all of your muscles in your body locked up, and you couldn't do anything but stand there terrified. As if the world slowed down, all you could hear was your breathing and your roaring thoughts. Everything else was a very dim hum, through it though you heard someone, they yelled
"Get out of the way!"
'That voice is familiar, who's was it?' You thought to yourself,
'Oh shit' and in that second your body moved automatically, making you duck under the blade. Suddenly everything came back to you, and you look around to make sure everyone else wasn't hurt. You briefly make eye contact with Kakashi, he seemed worried. This was bad. He needed to get his head straight, you knew he was only making sure you were okay, but still, one mistake could cost him his life. You looked over and saw Naruto kicking some guys ass, the poor dude didn't have a clue what was going on, all he could see were 10 Naruto's punching him. You look back at your target, then you glance at Kakashi. You needed to get this fight over and done with. Suddenly you heard a horn, and everyone stopped at the sound. You watched as all of the enemies started to back up and leave to back from wherever they came.
Kuro looked at you, then Kakashi
"We'll meet again, and next time, your blood will be fresh on my blades."
Then he disappeared into the thick foliage.
"After them! They are on the run! This is the time to attack!" One of the fighters said,
"No. No one is to follow. Understand? That is like committing suicide."
Everyone looked at you and nodded,
"everyone go back to camp! We need to make sure the lord is alright!"
"And our stuff..I have important stuff in my bag.." Naruto mutters
You go beside him while walking ask ask
"Like what?"
"MY RAMEN!!" He yelled
You laughed at his remark, and looked behind you.
Kakashi was following, looking like usual... but then again, that wasn't usual, because of his mask. Ahead of you Naruto put both of his arms behind his head, while talking to Shikamaru. Leaving you and Kakashi, semi- alone, you walk on the side of him and breathe out a sigh.
"It's okay, everything is going to be fine. Those scum bags will get what they deserve, whether is be by our hands out someone else's."
He puts his hand on your shoulder, encasing you in his warm embrace.
"I know. I just hope the Lord is alright. This is getting to be tiring."
"I know, just hang in there." He says.
You both walked back to camp.
"Lord Akane! Are you alright??" You hurry to him.
"Yes, I am (y/n). No need to worry about me, well at least when you're here. Thank you all greatly." He smiled.
"It's our pleasure, Lord Akane."
You could tell Kakashi was getting annoyed with Akane's flirting time with you. You bowed to Akane, and walked to Kakashi. You went to his ear and whispered
"It's okay, you know you're my one and only," then you kept walking.
"Let's get a move on!" One of Akane's men called. Everyone got up, and started moving. Lord Akane got into the carriage, and got comfortable. There was only a couple more hours until the next town. There you would get some rest, possibly share a room with Kakashi. The future was unclear, what could you say.
You walked forwards the back, while talking to Kakashi. You were still on high alert, knowing that enemies could jump out of the bushes at any moment. A couple hours passed and you and the group FINALLY got to the town of Kitsune, it was a small town located on the bank of a huge river. You and the group walked through the town, it was a lovely, lively little town. Lots of little restaurants, and many bars. The general, seemed happy about that. The group went to the hotel, you'd be staying in for that night. It looked almost like the last one. You got checked in, and everyone went their different ways. Lord Akane and the General, went to a room to talk about the rest of the trip. Most of the guards went around the town, besides the four that were guarding Akane, two were in the room, and two were standing at the door. Naruto, Shikamaru, and Neji decided to go out and get ramen. Leaving you and Kakashi alone,
"What do you want to do?" You ask cutely
"Come with me, let's go explore." He says as he takes your hand.
